  1. The off field problems do to not affect the decisions PP makes. They could definitely affect morale, work rate and application but considering we’ve all praised the team for the above recently it doesn’t really seem to be the case PP picks the side, the formation and our approach to games. He chooses to freeze out Little, remove Murphy from the squad from Sept - Jan, drop Oz in for a game then remove for 8. Play wingers on the opposite sides to where they should be playing, play 1 man up front, islolate that man by continuing to pump balls up to him with no support around him. He decides ALL of that. Not Ken, not the ST not HMRC. Him. And non of those other factors dictate his decisions. If the players weren’t putting a shift in then you could give him some sympathy. But they are so you can’t.

  4. It’s got to the point with Ken now where unless he comes out and breaks down where every single penny over his tenure has gone, why it went that way, what payment(s) were missed and why it’ll never be enough for the ‘majority’ i say ‘majority’ because a large portion of those clowns I’ve seen recently posting on wherever claiming he is a crook, scum etc etc but for the last 5-10 years haven’t put a penny in to the club themselves. Sit in the local boozer every week pissing their money away moaning about what a shambles the club is. Their view, voice or whatever counts for fuck all in my eyes They actually cannot see / look beyond the fact that the majority of deals done cannot be exposed due to NDA’s / legal issues etc But they want blood. If he gave it up tomorrow and we fell in to admin ( the very thing he’s trying to stave off) it would be his fault hes been in a no win situation for months. He speaks out he gets shit he stays quiet he gets shit. he needs to steer clear of discussions such as this, created by people who have proven cannot deliver a balanced opinion, keep his counsel and continue trying to keep the club afloat.

  9. 4lbs lost in just over 2 weeks. Pretty much all by changing my diet and cutting down on booze. Only done one 1 mile swim. Happy with that progress. Ramping the swimming up to three 1-milers per week from tomorrow. 13 lbs to go to hit my initial target

  10. A cross section, we have a lot of French friends over here from all walks of life and they all detest Macron. Whenever we see the yellow vests at the tolls there are no other political slogans or banners just a group united in ousting Macron, the revenue they are losing from tolls and speeding fines alone must be significant and the protests are getting larger every week even in the smallest cities.

  11. This, the local paper should be having a rallying call to the town to get behind the team instead of organising protests against the owner who wants out of the club anyway. It should be backs to the wall stuff

  12. Folk just need to remember there’s a forest at home or port vale away never far away with this club. whatever happens we don’t do it the easy way and always always come back. Get that £1m off the EFL, Beat Bristol and we are on for a cup run and last day survival at Blackburn all with cash to spare. Keep the faith.

  14. First question to SJM "you couldn't run a pub, what makes you qualified to front a protest about the running of a multi million pound business?"

  15. Questioning David Wheater? Still the first name on the teamsheet for me, if fit. Age/fitness, not attitude will be Dave's undoing. A shame many of the others aren't as committed/consistent as him.

  16. Fuck me. Someone else who was there at Leeds Road for Trevor Morgan's toe-bunger against Huddersfield Absolutely pissing it down. Wanderers packing out that big uncovered terrace behind one end. Being locked in at the end and then having bricks chucked at us when the coppers finally opened the gates Thoroughly miserable and soaking wet night but that terrace gave it all that night in support No bitching about the state of the club. Just pure support for the men in white. Not one mention of ownership, local journalists, Normid, just full on backing for the team on the pitch So sad that those days have gone

  17. The 80's were bad. I hated those years. I really didn't think that I'd ever think that things were as bad as then. I've said on other threads that the younger element who've only ever known us heading upwards, and/or life in the Prem, really don't understand how shit it can be supporting BWFC and nowt compares to the 80's I've changed my opinion. This is worse.......... Normid vs Winding-up orders Old men sat in a wood-panelled room around a committee table saying fuck all vs a chairman spouting on social media (Relatively) Flat pricing vs stupid pricing Players that gave a shit because they didn't earn enough from football vs players that earn more in a month than a lot of supporters earn in a year despite being shit Gordon Sharrock vs Marc Iles Fanzines vs Social media We are going down. I expect nothing else. I have no optimism any more. I accepted it in the '80's and, along with many Wanderers, got on with it, and got my arse off my seat and went to Wrexham, Chesterfield and other salubrious shitholes, and revelled in the fact that all we cared about was arguing whether Trevor Morgan, Gary Henshaw and their ilk were shit or not Nowadays it's just constant negativity, fuelled by social media, that drives some supporters to be m0ngtards I have no answer. I'm a grumpy old fucker, fuelled by the 70's, longing for the days when social media didn't dictate football and BWFC
