  1. Has anyone actually said they’d rather we go out of buisness than the ST take over? Also this Blackpool stuff. They were no near liquidation. They just didn’t like the people in charge. They were right not to, but financially they were fine. Now after receivership someone is going to have to cover those £100k a week losses. Same with us. If our ST showed me they could generate enough money to salvage the club either in admin or kick start something brand new after liquidation I’d be all over it. But that lot I saw on show last night, and have seen on show since their existence fills me with nothing but dread. I personally don’t want anything to do with an operation led by them. Portsmouths ST had money behind them. Ours don’t. They also had 18k loyal fans. Ours don’t. Blackpool weren’t on the edge of a cliff, we are. The comparisons are bullshit. The supporters trust have no money and do no represent me as a fan or any other fan I know for that matter in any way shape or form. They are just a gang of fans that decided to form a group. Any single one of us could do the same. Nobody is happy with the current ownership. Nobody. But if you think the ST can in anyway salvage this situation or create Portsmouth style Phoenix from flames football club owned by the fans you need to put the crack pipe down and take a look at the state of every other clubs finances and how much money and backing it actually takes to run a football club. Take a look at Carlos post about how much it takes to run athy colls ffs. The ST don’t have the leadership, personel or finances to even touch the surface. It’s a complete and utter fantasy of those involved and waste of everybodies time.

  2. The irony of this given the last few pages. People who'd still choose oblivion with Ken over being in any way associated with what are, at worst, naive well meaning Bolton fans. Also the criticism of a pointless meeting that solves nothing on a thread heading towards 500 pages

  3. I assume he means that it’s because our supporters trust isn’t upto scratch when compared to Pompey or Blackpool Which (if true) is a sad state of affairs really as they are voted in by our fans and should be a broad representation of us unless someone comes in soon and decides they are happy losing £30m+ then it looks like we either need the ST or go out of business from what many have said on here it seems that plenty would prefer us to go out of business than have anything to do with the ST Very sad indeed, I’d rather we still have a football club

  4. Totally agree. It’s gone way beyond wrong players, wrong tactics, wrong formations. For Parkinson now he’s just trying to look after his players. Unless he’s been pressed he hasn’t used the problems as an excuse. Don’t get me wrong new money, new owners would mean new change at the top. But he’s not a twat, he’s not a cunt and hatred pointed in his direction for me is displaced. I think he’s handled himself with dignity and professionalism

  6. Unless I have it wrong, it’s Ken’s limited company (ICL?) that borrowed the money from Moonshift so it in fact has fuck all to do with Ken’s personal wealth as it’s a limited liability company So no it’s not his money Is there any evidence anywhere that Ken has actually paid off any of the debt that we had when he came here? The HMRC got paid using the Blue Marble loan, the Blue Marble loan got paid by the loan from Moonshift. Brett Warburton, Micheal James etc all still owed Ken literally hasn’t paid any of it off as far as I can see

  7. If the ST properly represented the fan base and wasn't setup as an exercise by a clique of 3 or 4 who had designs on a fan owned club bumming around league 2 and non-league then everyone would be onside. However, the ST do not represent the fans - they are not trying to "help the club survive" - instead they want a slice and will do everything they can to obstruct anyone with real means from taking complete control. Then you have Roger Allanson....is he really someone who should be lecturing anyone about running a business properly or misconduct?

  9. What have we learned today? Been a full day of gems to savour. - I guess we start at the very beginning of the day when Neil 'did he jump or was he pushed' Bonnar tweeted his alcoholic flavoured comments the club was unsellable. This came as quite a shock to me as I didn't think anybody followed Mr Blue Moon anymore. - Then the Hoppy510 taught us that the club had £45m more assets than debts when Anderson took it over (We were actually showing a debt of £186m as per the accounts for that time!) Only £231m wide of the mark! - Followed by Lofthouse's call for 10,000 fans putting £5k of their family savings EACH into the pot to buy the club when we can't even get 10,000 fans at the club with tickets at £5 each. Brilliant, why had nobody thought of this plan of action before? Then this evenings ST Meeting, featuring a cast of not one single person of any relevance to do anything much about anything at all really. (Bit like all the other ST meetings then). - The Davies family, Moonshift, Micheal James, Bret Warburton, etc, didn't even send a note that they were even bothered with the evenings farce, which was taken badly by the Chair of the ST, Mr Terrance Rigby, Barrister. I should have thought a clever person such as he obviously must be, would have reflected on why that might be? Could it possibly be that these key players in the clubs immediate future don't believe the ST to be creditable? Nah it couldn't possibly be that surely? - Mr Rigby had however read some documents and give his considered opinion on some of the winders stuff but didn't really sound convincing as to what he was saying was absolutely correct. I preferred Howards narrative myself, much better story in the opinion of this mill town boy. When I was a lad the skyline was full of the mill chimneys before Dibner got to work on them - I'm just flagging up how old I am for later on. - Then we had Roger Allanson (passed presumably as a fit and proper person by the ST before (and after?) his co-option onto the ST board) chatting about meeting Shaun Harvey the CE of the EFL and talking amongst other things of how people pass the EFL's FFP test criteria. - Mr Harvey confirms Ken proved to him the money was there to see us financially through to the end of the season but no one seems to have asked the vital question of Ken being, did he intend to be spending it on the club to make sure we did get to the end of the season. School boy error perhaps? (note another hint of ageism there of a younger kind) - Then a selection of meaningless questions, to folk without the expertise to actually answer them properly, to the dissatisfaction of the people sat there expecting a miracle solution to everything along the lines of let's go into Administration, not sure who will do it though or will pay for it, then we get rid of Ken and the ST will take us on with Mr Allanson's company he's established for that very purpose. I'm not sure however if Mr A will set up his own FFP tests for people wanting to be a part of it though? Anyway well done the audience, easy peasy really, makes you wonder why we've not done these things already? - Then the big news, the old boys (the ST) and the young guns (Will Jones and the rebel rousers, whose biggest hit so far is Once Around the Stadium, plus supporting acts of Burnden Aces and that other tiny site (who have a tennis ball franchise or something like that?) are going to court each other! Coffin dodgers and Millennials in a marriage of convenience to save our club. See all the age references now make sense! Horray, how could we find ourselves in better hands than these! All problems solved. Don't forget the ST elections in June. What a complete and utter waste of a day.

Can Mr Javid not just order a drone strike and remove the problem, surely if she has been stipped of British citizenship she is now officially a stateless ISIS terrorist so they can do with her what they want, or pay the other women in the camp to stone her to death for denouncing ISIS. Or give her a leg and a wing of the top of a large building

  21. Before we have Colin Todd put in the same bracket as Charlie Wright , don't forget in the season of the Watford defeat he lost Thompson and Taggart before the season began , soon followed by Blake in October , and when he unearthed another Gem (for us) in gunnlaugsson he even had him sold from under his nose by January. Concerning the premier league relegation in 97/98 , I personally think if he had Neil Cox and Robbie Elliot fit for most of the season we would have stayed up , and let's be honest we weren't a million miles off staying up anyway and I think the team would have improved greatly if we had stayed up.

She's joined/sided with a terrorist organisation, and has justified the killing of kids in Manchester. Some things are worth closing legal gaps for.

If folk off here or elsewhere would make better accountants, chairmen etc then throw your hat in the ring. It's got more chance of being any use in the long term than calling folk cunts!

  32. I know what you're saying but what makes a football club? Is it the ground, the people, players, history? We've changed grounds more than once, the original limited company was Bolton Wanderers Football and Athletic Company Ltd and now Burnden Leisure, the people have changed etc.. Things change and no matter what incarnation I'm sure we'll all still be there.

  36. Aye, but once first dibs are over it’s getting sold how long do they get? Seriously though, I think we may need to concede that living within our means has to include leaving the Reebok, it’s just too expensive to run in League 1 We certainly need to sell to meet our debt obligations

  37. Ken hasn’t put a penny and he’s lasted three years Basinni has been bankrupt twice, a few years ago for £40k ffs yet he is apparently in the driving seat Lets not pretend that those two chances are anyway better at running a bath than the ST would be None of them have the millions required to run a stadium, hotel, Lostock and pay off all the debt. Perhaps it’s time to sell it all off and pay the debts off then go again living within our means somewhere else I’d rather we have a ST and have that opportunity than fuck it all off as a bad job. Perhaps the guys running the ST are shite, I don’t know. If we have better as a fan base then we need them to step forward so we can sign up and vote them in Its that or we potentially have no club at all

  38. I really dislike the sneering contempt that some seem to have for the ST. Criticism is fine, of actions or decisions at least, anyone that steps up has to understand that it comes with the territory, but if you have anything about you then you should at least balance that criticism with some respect for the efforts that they're putting in.

  42. All this talk of what Derby spend, West Brom etc Largely irrelevant signing players that have inflated our wage bill beyond what we can afford is irresponsible and if it puts a final nail in our coffin then it’s on Ken Dont commit to spending more than you have coming in unless your willing to put your own money in (like other owners) Would our squad be that much worse than it is now? Can’t get much fucking worse surely Wasting wages on players your manager doesn’t fancy isn’t a great bit of business either Which ever way you cut the cake it’s rank bad ownership from Ken, sure he will find a way of blaming someone else though

  44. It certainly has; though I do have a gripe with the way that it's portrayed as being a big evil. The main issue is dirty fuckers wazzing the stuff rather than recycling or disposing of it properly. Couple that with the vast amount of unnecessary tat that is produced for no good reason and a shitstorm awaits. Stupid toys in McDonald's meals typical. Ban it all. Every bit of it.

  46. The continued labelling of ukip and now brexit party just fuels them. Ukip has since taken a genuine lurch to the right and isn't the same as it was. Farage has distanced himself from it. Hopefully more moderate leave voters will be swayed to the brexit party, rather than be nugged into an organisation they wouldn't otherwise be minded towards.

  47. Don't agree but I totally see where you're coming from though. I'd say they're players no one else wants and we've got the players who will play for the wages we pay. Sows ear silk purse etc We weren't complaining when he got us out of league 1 on a shoestring. Personally I think the football is shite, but given the financial side, I reckon we don't know the half of it. I think he's handled the non football stuff with real dignity.

  48. Read the comments about wages. Players have come here cos no one else wanted them at this level. Add in shit storm that the club has become no manager would have had much chance of keeping us up. Parky has made some strange and some just bad calls but the idea it is all his fault is honestly bollocks. I do think he has to go but I won’t join in this hatred that people seem to have to him.
