Tickets £20 adult price whatever game, remove any category pricing. It will not fill the stadium but it would be clear and sensible. U18's/seniors £10. Cup games free for ST holders. 3. Hire a young coach with progressive style, no dinosaurs.

  14. Think the way the club has slowly, and at times without us realising, been run down over the last 10yrs or so due to tighter budgets has had an effect. There has been little investment and an cutback if i am honest in the entire fans match day experience compared to some other clubs. This has to have had a knock on effect on crowds especially if the football itself is not that good. What new owners, if we get any of course, need to look at is getting rid of the daft ban on food sellers around the ground for example, encourage t shirt and bobble hat sellers and think about the fans having a base within the ground pre match, but not the happy clappy fanzone type thing. This is a way to reengage support much like the Burnden days some people go all dewy eyed about.

  15. I think our average price is something like £8, which tells you more about our ratio of adults : concessions than anything else We do need to attract more adults back to the Reebok, ticket pricing is part of it but then again it’s not the only part. Look at what Spurs have done with the food and drink offer in the new stadium! Quality fare at decent prices in order to drive revenue. Our offer isn’t great whichever way you look at it Granted to make a sea change you need investment in facilities but the club could make a small step to improve things. I’d imagine a bottle bar would be easier to manage and offer a better beer (plastic of course). A slightly better hot food offering would also help, the Carrs pasties thing could be rolled out further, introduce the cheese and Jalapeño slice! Small steps but we are so poor under the stand, so poor on the pitch, it all takes its toll

  16. I've been pretty quiet on here over the last few seasons. Mostly due to the sheer fucking despair at our situation and the tailspin we have ended up in. But also because I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer about 18 months ago. It was shock. I was pretty young to get it (55 at the time). I'd been to Dr's about summat else and he sent me for a blood test and they picked it up. At first it was 'low grade, low risk'. I had regular blood tests and a biopsy. That was bloody horrible. Anyway, I went for more tests and they said that it had got worse and they needed to act before it spread. I had my Prostate gland removed in August last year. It was a pretty miserable time. I was off work 6 weeks. I had a catheter fitted, could hardly walk. Just shit really. But - when I got the results back following the op they said that there were clear margins around the gland so it hadn't spread. I will be having 3 monthly blood tests and consultations for the foreseeable but so far it's all looking good. I have been very lucky. Some of you will know that I do a bit of running, I used to try to encourage folk off here to do Parkrun. As I had some warning before the operation I figured my best hope of a faster recovery was to get as fit as I could beforehand and hopefully retain some of it. I did my first ever marathon, Bolton hill marathon (a bit embarrassing as I've been running 20 years!) and that went ok so I did my first ever Ultra marathon a fortnight later (5 Passes ultra in Lakes, 33 miles). That was a long day out - 10 hours! - but I went round with 2 lasses from our running club and we had a great day. I have gradually got fitness back starting with low goals and building up and up. Although I don't think I will ever really be how I was before I am in not bad shape now, physically. I wanted a goal to aim for both as part of my recovery and also as a big Fuck You to cancer. I decided to do the Joss Naylor Challenge. It's not a race, you can do it whenever you like. It appealed because it is aimed at over 50's and you get longer to complete it the older you are. It's 48 miles across the Lakes and 17,000' ascent. I have 15 hours to do it in. It also appealed because part of it is to raise money for a charity of your choice. I have chosen Prostate Cancer UK. I've been training hard over the last months since recovering from the op. Been up to Lakes virtually every weekend and getting the miles in recceing the route. Can I do it? I honestly don't know, I'll find out next month. I'll give it a bloody good shot though. https://www.gofar.org.uk/jossnaylorlc.html If anyone can spare a quid or so then it would be very gratefully received. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/simon-fox24 Also if anyone wants to talk about any Prostate Cancer concerns then PM me. Cheers.

My problem with this kind of thing is certain people will constantly mention for instance Brexit Party & racists though they will deny they think they are one & the same thing, however the inference is always there. The constant drip feeding is intended to paint anyone who votes for the Brexit Party as such. I think the point TMG is trying to make is that the effect these insiduos references are tending to have is to harden the views of those they are aimed against. I voted to leave the EU for my own reasons, though I respect the people who voted to remain & see no reason to publicly debate their own personal reasons for doing so. However if anyone feels that the need to assume that I must be a racist they can kiss my white honkey arse 😁

  26. Nixon implying that the decision underpinning buying now from Anderson v buying out of admin = saving £28 million v 12 point deduction. Frankly I don't think this is the case or that the numbers are necessarily right, but if it was the case I'd rather take the deduction and hope the money was spent on putting together a team that would get promoted despite the deduction - and form the basis of a Championship contending side the following season.

  32. I'll have a punt at answering this but it really is very difficult to actually know what the answer is!. First of all I assume you are talking about the £5m loaned to KA who then loaned it to the club, which then went on to pay the BluMarble loan with. It seems by the time the loan was issued there must have been some doubt if Eddie would have got it back without securing the loan on something or other, as apparently he had loaned KA previously £3m (if what is H has been telling us is correct - and I've no reason to doubt him on that) as an unsecured loan. I guess if the 'trust' was still there then this £5m would have been loaned as per the previous one/s? The reason I have read that the loan was not secured against club assets directly was apparently and the clubs assets had been 'maxed' out, so it was secured instead against KA's assets I thought originally that the loan was against the share ownership but looking more deeply into it I believe the loan was secured against the company that owned the share ownership namely Inner Circle Investments Limited. And accordingly a charge for £5m was set against ICI Ltd. (on the 7th Sept, 2018) https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/09782053/charges/fm5WZUnhZHCq-kA5LdXv1g9627M Ken in turn some days later then presumably 'found' £5m from somewhere because he made himself a secured creditor of the club (presumably for the £5m) on the 27th Sept, 2018, BUT under his own name and not that of ICI Ltd! https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00043026/charges/zuFLo9CUMVpD9kLSumePBFGSR-g Poor Eddie passed away on the 11th Sept, 2018 And the BluMarble loan was reportedly settled on the 12th Sept, 2018 - presumably for circa £5m, being £4m capital plus around £800k interest(?). https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45483786 However note the timeline for all these events If BM was paid £5m on the 12th Sept, then where did the £5m KA loaned the club come from TWO WEEKS LATER? Companies House clearly shows the BM loan being satisfied on the 24th September... https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/03674979/charges/_53gxL4LeazNGlMRE9QxDhU0CgQ ...so where did his £5m come from to secure against the club 27th Sept? I can only reason from all this that the £5m Eddie loaned KA to pay BM actually did happen and that the £5m Ken put in the club as a secured creditor was completely separate and apart from the Davies loan. In short it really was from KA (although that may have been funded on advances on player sales and ST sales revenue, factored in advance?) Are you still with me so far! We've dealt I think with the monies going in, so what about the money being paid back? I won't trouble you by repeating the lengthy and informative narrative Howard has previously given on this and just pick things up where H has informed us that putting the club into Admin does not invalidate the sum of £5m still being owed to Eddies estate. As it stands as far as I understand it, it basically means that if the default is called in by Moonshine they take control of ICI Ltd, who are the holding company for the club. IF I've got this correct (and I certainly don't guarantee I have!) then I also believe that the conditions of the loan also prevent ICI Ltd going into voluntary Liquidation as H suggests it may well do so. I say this on the basis of the charge saying - under 5.2 that disposal of security assets can't be made (and security assets being defined in the Definitions as all of the assets subject to the deed). Therefore in my thinking anyway, if the deed is about taking control of ICI in default, then how can it dispose of itself first by voluntary liquidation? https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/09782053/charges/fm5WZUnhZHCq-kA5LdXv1g9627M Of course I am very much out of my depth on these matters and would appreciate comments and or guidance from those who are more knowledgeable about these things? If however Moonshift calls in the debt, taking charge of the share ownership by acquiring ICI would settle the £5m debt in full. I can only hazard guess at what happens in the event of an Administrator taking control but as far as I understand things the shareholders lose their rights immediately? If so and Moonshift not calling in their debt - they would be presumably in a position to serve notice to take over ICI Ltd and I guess if there are insufficient funds there, they simply go after the Director for the balance if the company is found to be trading whilst insolvent? Ken still has a secured £5m in the club (which on paper at least seems to be his personal money?) so he would be in a position to fulfil that obligation if necessary? I'm sorry that I am unable to give a definitive answer to your question and hopefully others who are more knowledgeable on these matters can add to/shoot down to my reply above, whichever is the most relevant to do so. One small item of interest whilst I was researching the facts to answer your query was an article by Iles dated 10th September, which included this sentence - "The funding gap for the next 12 months, taking into consideration only those debts which are due and outstanding bills, is thought to be close to £13m". I'm not intending to be an apologist for Anderson but it wasn't any secret that he was not funding the club from his personal wealth and with a £13m black hole in funding to plug, then is it really such a big surprise that players, HMRC and everybody else ended up not getting paid and the club looking to move into Administration 8/9 months later? https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/16833145.bolton-wanderers-set-for-administration/

If Holding, Clough and Madine had stayed we would now hate them and tell them never to set foot in the ground again, for not trying in any game this season and for refusing to play a game when they werent being paid. Their reputations and status is retained because they left and sat on a bench elsewhere.

  36. You may be right, though I believe it will change, even if out of necessity. Social attitudes are the starting point. Talking of greenspace why, why is it deemed acceptable by (usually young) folk to chuck ale cans and bottles about and leave their litter behind? Or set fire to the grass with BBQs or out of spite? If they're prepared to shit on their own doorstep what hope have we of producing the necessary changes? Remember in the world cup, after celebrating success, Japan/Korean fans clearing up after themselves. A completely different attitude. Just a few decades ago we weren't like this, and it's so disappointing.

  37. @Moon boy The council workmen must be pulling their tripe out for the asylum seekers then, a good portion of them do a wank job (for social housing tenants) until they clock off and go on a 'foreigner' (usually using material commandeered from the day job). I was more on about not being able to work and very little to live on, they're expected to share accommodation with strangers etc. - not the worst terms and conditions by a long chalk (and they're by and large grateful and uncomplaining) but not the cushy lifestyle portrayed by certain parties. I'm no fan of the lop-sided implementation of the Gateway scheme, Labour have this misty-eyed Ken Loach style view of the oppressed of all backgrounds joining hands and skipping down the road in unity - it doesn't work in reality, however, by hook or by crook it's our towns that pick up the slack, done right it should be a source of pride for us natives in these towns, and a mark of shame for wealthier areas who only welcome outsiders if they can nurse, nanny, plaster a wall or make a flat white. If it is policy that there is preferential treatment regarding social housing allocation then this policy needs looking at.

  38. Did we really? We've taken about £3m (maybe more) for a lad with some promise who'd played 20-odd first team games and was part of the league's worst defence, conceding over 2 goals per game during his run in the team. He wouldn't be the player he is now, had we not sold him and took him down to League 1 instead.

  46. Well it was just embarrassing. Farage just offering plain rhetoric and populism up. Easy to get cheers by repeatedly saying politicians are the problem. Yet when it came down to a) offering a solution to the Irish border problem b) actual policy c) facts about world trade and d) being honest about what he said in the past - Farage failed all points miserably. People with any intelligence would immediately see that. But sadly Farage has always based his career on appealing to the lowest common denominators. You can contrast with John Mills - who is a Labour Brexiteer - who also had no facts or details but at least refrained from the populist rhetoric. Soubry is articulate and intelligent but needed to actually prepare better for it and write down quotes. The Labour bloke - did his best - its hard to pretend that you're the party bridging remain and leave when in reality you're just as split as everyone else and trying to fudge it. Amber Rudd was good but saddled with the mess of being in government and thus little if any credibility.
