  1. Folk either still want a club to support or they don’t.

  2. Pay what the club ask, this is the club's hour of need. The great Harry Gosling did a speech at Burnden Park to rally the team and fans in our countries hour of need, now it's our turn to do and show how much we need a football club in this town. I'm in, I'm going, and I hope I'll be doing my little bit so future generations have a turnstile to click through here in our town. COYFWM

  3. What's the reason you don't go anymore, you never know these lot might pay attention. For me 20 quid or 24 quid doesn't make any difference, it's less than a decent pint. Less than the random shit I buy if I pop over the road for milk. Folk moaning about 4 quid will happily go out on a Saturday spend 40 quid on a shit gram, 3.50 a pop for a shit beer and 8 quid in a taxi to go to a shit pub. I'm not having 4 quid is the clincher. If it genuinely is then fair enough but I'm not having it. If you've not got 4 quid you certainly don't have 20. For me personally it's because it's shit. I had a season ticket from 91 until 04 when they fucked me over for a cup final ticket and in my rage I handed it back in at the window because it was "fucking pointless having one". We were still doing ok then but the reason I went every week really was habit. Purely and simply habit. The second that refund check came (I was hoping they'd sort me a ticket out) I no longer 'had' to go to the match. I personally go to the match for the day out, starting early, get to the town centre rammed with Bolton, walking down en masse to the ground, being surrounded by like minded people who want to stand shout, sing and claim every decision. I get absolutely none of that at a home game. I go for a couple in an empty put while I wait for the bus to silently drop me off. I sit in a cold empty silent stand where I'll get moaned at if I dare get excited and the little one will ask from the 7th minute when can we go home. It just simply isn't an enjoyable experience, it's incredibly boring. If I tell my 8 year old we're going to an away game he's excited as fuck and mithering every day for a fortnight. I can't drag him to a home game though, he'd rather play Fortnite. I'm not sure what the answer is, I don't think the FA want people clumped tightly bouncing around.

  4. Makes me laugh how people will be moaning that a 25M takeover is hard and asking for FV to pay more to get it done then lose their minds over being asked to fork out £24. £4 more than the weekend. This is surely a time to remind everyone of the potential of our club and help encourage those buying us to see that. Not to have wobbly bottom lips over a few quid here or there. Club needs saving.

  6. Of course it is upto him. He wants to portray a picture and that’s what he’s doing. He’s being fed something from somewhere and his editor is happy so they say it as they see it. i don’t think he’s bright enough to follow the paper trail through that if FV don’t get the hotel and the club and as it stands that involves MJ that we could be gone and as you point out that’s him gone too but im not getting upset about what he writes. You are and that is “your prerogative “

  7. Basically People won’t pay £24 to watch the kids, times are hard, families to feed etc... but would somehow be there in a shot if we had Aguero and Messi on the pitch. Loyalty is subjective. if you’re a fair weather type then fair enough. Just say so.

  8. You tell that to the lads and lasses who went to Wycombe at the weekend, our players who witnessed our fans roar them on into the ground when their coach turned up, the Wycombe fans who have invaded our websites with praise of everyone within our club. It’s worth £24 of any mans money, Jesus Christ, the first match at Wembley had one of our fans walk down with a wheelbarrow raising money for charity. The least we can do is respect him and sit in a seat in our town to watch his club kick a ball, win lose or draw.

  9. I wonder how many folk will be “secretly glad” they now have a readymade excuse not to go now, to add to the litany they’ve used over the years OINO* * but only when it’s on my own very specific terms you can’t have “I just want a club to support” and then “they owe me for Brentford” in the same breath Well it seems you can if you’re a Bolton fan

  11. Not sure that we can moan at anyone about the prices. Neither BWFC or FV will have decided on £24 I’m guessing? My thought is that the admins have worked out how much to charge to make sure that the match isn’t played at a loss. Completely understand people saying it’s a mistake or a missed opportunity but do you really think the admins look at it that way or even care? They have no love for our club. They just want to get a deal done and a game played on Saturday Its £24 end of. Either go or don’t. It’s that simple. And if people don’t they also shouldn’t be criticised imo. It’s a free world. I’ll be there and unhappy at £24 but I missed Wycombe and if that’s what it costs so be it

  12. Anyone complaining about the price needs to get a grip. actually they’re fucking morons. £24 may be slightly above what i was expecting but I’d say yes a fair price. Fylde are charging £18 in the conference. Swindon in L2 charging £19. stop moaning! I suspect it’s just another reason for the morons to justify not going....

  13. Definitely this. Amuses me when, on the return journey home from Horwich, we have the radio phone in on BBC radio manchester. It doesn't matter which club the caller supports, the majority doesn't attend home games but listens on the radio. No wonder we're fucked, there are more folk (for every club) claiming to support but stay home than there are actually paying their coin to attend games.

  14. It’s a Massive massive mistake. Whatever you thoughts on people put off by a few extra quid aside, it’s still massive mistake not to capitalise on the current mood and create a proper occasion. Silly fuckers.

  15. It strikes me that everyone seems to be hanging on the words of 2 people whose job it is to keep large numbers of people hanging on their every word. Whilst there may be a sprinkle of truth in small parts of their output, I still see a stadium, a team fulfilling fixtures (just!) and a buyout being kept, legally, under wraps. maybe I’m over patient, but most of the time I’m happy to wait for it to pan out....

  20. People are desperate for the club to survive, and they want the NHS to thrive, and the train services to improve, and schools to have loads of funding and enough teachers. And plenty police to improve law and order. But ask them to pay towards it and you can go and get stuffed.

  21. Its like super fan central on here tonight , not everyone's circumstances allow them to just pay whatever the club/administrators decide to charge.

  26. Id say no on the day is a police stipulation Allows gmp and admin to agree staffing levels And you can collect tickets on Saturday if you want Alternatively, buy a ticket, email me and I'll meet you with it

  27. One thing looming on the horizon is pay day At the moment, I suspect the piggy bank is empty Admin needs to get as much in there as they can Maybe they think bwfc have fans just relieved to have a club who won't whinge over a few quid The dicks

  37. Quantuma are not acting in the best interests of the football club and it’s supporters so you need to get used to that concept quickly. They are engaged to act in the best interests of the creditors of the hotel in isolation. If somebody bids a sufficient amount to buy it and intended on turning into a DMB supporters club they would sell it. Silly example but you get my drift. Folk are going to be very disappointed if they keep thinking that Quantuma have any loyalty to our club whatsoever. They have none.

  40. Me too - it's embarrassing and counter productive. I've no doubt that the fantastic support our young 'uns got at Wycombe lifted their game by 10 -15%. It would be great if some of the Macron moaners followed suit.

  41. To fair he was playing regularly until his injury at the end of June. They took a chance on his fitness but it obviously backfired. That and losing the toss so that ‘Gary’ would tear us apart on the 5th day as usual and of course Smith was what determined the outcome of this Test.

  48. Whether you, me or anyone else likes it or not, Anderson stands/stood to lose around £3.5m from the sale of the hotel if the selling price was £5.5m or less (the amount James/PBP had first claim on). If he's 'played' everyman and his dog in order to not lose it, then wouldn't you do the same in his position - I know I'd fight not to lose £3.5m if I could avoid it. It's pointless to argue the toss if it was Eddies money or not, or whether Eddie intended to get it back or not - as it stands at the moment he either fights for £3.5m or lets it go - it's as simple as that. He's chosen to fight for it, he's legally entitled to fight for it and at the end of the day the money isn't even the clubs - it's simply bidding FV up to buy the club for more than they intended to. It's nothing personal, it's business. This is the real world colliding with the fantasy bubble that football (and a huge majority of its supporters and fans) live in. It's as moral as players being paid what they are for kicking a ball about whilst nurses, paramedics, firefighters, etc, who save lives daily are paid peanuts in comparison.
