  2. Im clearly in the minority but i genuinely think the team is doing the best it can and Im also happy to still have a club when I was sure we were in the bin . Im not happy with defeats or the way this season is going but did anyone really expect any different ? I remember the 80's with songs of "there's only one man trying" etc and Im glad we are not there again. Maybe its cos I was born in Burnley and went to school in Blackburn and lived in Accrington , Im used to vitriol from everyone , the only support I ever got was from me dad and his never let the bastards grind you down bol

  7. Impressed I could get you to go to so much work! I'll have to start on that fucking birds nest you carry around on the top of your head. Good chance you'll have a military haircut by the summer. Yes, I was supportive - liked the concept of a mixed race looker joining our Royals. Hope he ditches the witch and marries a Jamaican ska artiste. Since she married into it however, the hypocrisy started and steadily grew hence the change in my opinion (it is allowed tha knows). HM looks like she has sorted it - let them go, the sooner the better. No British taxpayers money for anything thoug

  10. Football Ventures have obviously, and rightly, budgetted for League 2 next season. I think most people accepted that from the start, as Keith Hill did initially. In the early stages of his reign it was "We're not looking at the table" and "We're taking it 1 game at a time" - which is how it should've stayed. A couple of decent results sent him in the wrong direction in my opinion. This season was a write-off before a ball was kicked. Too many (entirely understandable) emotions have crept in.

  12. Congratulations on the first positive post of the night, unfortunately it's all shite, it's not just about tonight, it's about how we are going backwards and still getting twatted every week and how he sets up a team, it's about his substitutions and his deluded pre and post match interviews, he's digging his way out slowly and I fear for us in League 2, he isn't proving to be the steady Eddie he was made out to be.

  13. I usually back managers longer than most, craving some sort of consistency But I wasn’t convinced about Hill from day one, though very hopeful and willing to back him. Its turned out the way many suspected it might and I honestly think he needs replacing with League 2 firmly in mind. We’re a fucking big gig, we need a bigger name. It’s not too late.

Nazir Afzal former Chief of the North West CPS made the following statement during a BBC interview in October 2018 ' "You may not know this, but back in 2008, the Home Office sent a circular to all Police forces in the country saying, 'As far as these young girls who are being exploited in towns and cities, we beieve that they have made an informed choice about their sexual behaviour and therefore it is not for you police officers to get involved in' If that's the landscape coming from the top down in 2008, rest assured all agencies are going to listen to it." 33. Lets say you pay a player X amount to get them here. We're league 2 - we go up. Then you pay some more players a bit more to compete in league one. All the time we're breaking even or making a small loss. Then after a year or 2 mid table in league one, fans get bored and stop coming. And we're making a bigger loss. Then what? The point is that we've spent a decade spending money on the likes of Craig Conway - for at best a short shot of success followed by failure. The only signing model that's ever made sense was Sam Allardyce paying big bucks for stars who'd fallen by the way side at bi

  37. No, no offence at all, it's just that Tommy R was part of Barney's crowd at the match & i can't remember him wearing any colours at the match, let alone a tin helmet. ( that doesn't mean he never ever did in earlier days ) I do have a small photo of us together in the 70's but not the ability to post it here, & i'm not sure it would be the right thing to do anyway. He was only a smallish chap & didn't go out of his way to get noticed so it's possible people would not remember him if they didn't know him. RIP

  40. Bolty said he formed his own opinions didn't he? From his posts, that seems perfectly plausible. We might not agree with them, but he's entitled to them. Like others, from what I know she seems decent. Previous political comments can't be undone, but I've not heard anything like that from her since they got hitched. What their real personalities are, fuck knows, and that's between them.

Just checked my 'library' & its defo 1970-71 pre-season ( finished bottom & relegated) Jim Conway is the mystery man .He brought all our young guns through the system ( Paul Jones Garry Jones Stuart Lee Alan Waldron Paul Fletcher plus a few more) but for some reason got the bullet maybe in the aftermath of relegation. We played SPVGG Bayreuth (0-0) Celle (2-0) VFL Osnabruck(2-1) So an undefeated German pre-season tour resulted in relegation to Div 3
