  1. If he'd stayed at home there'd have been no one to suggest they try skiing too

  2. It’s a hard argument to fight, but I still stick with Hill. Like previous bwfc managers before him, the task couldn’t be harder than anywhere else. And like previous managers he’s struggling. I think that says more about the situation than him. And he’s probably got it harder than any of the other previous incumbents. We are the worst team away in the last decade, surely that tells its own story. With restrictions and embargoes there’s no quick fix, not even next year. Yes there’s been glimpses and that’s where the frustrations come in that we haven’t sustained and pushed on from there, but these players are either young, inexperienced, rejects or at best bang average for this level. I think it would be near on impossible for anyone to get a consistent tune out of a bunch like that. The supports been good and I don’t hear too much at the games that’s negative towards Hill, mainly on line. I hope it stays that way as that would only make a hard situation even worse. He’s got a good record of bringing teams up from the 2nd, he’s going to be the one who knows these players the best and can hopefully with time bring out the best of them next season. It’s not good for the sole consistently trying to justify that he’s not good enough every game that we play. I didn’t want to go last night, I did it for my boys, I was expecting something far worse than what I saw, so I take the positives, a good fight in the second half, a great goal celebration and a togetherness that we can come back... slowly but surely.

  3. Tough old day that’s for sure. Just starting to sink in now I won’t get to have another pint with him or argue with him about football or even speak to him again. guess nothing prepares you for the loss of a loved one. Cherish every moment. It’s a cliche but it’s very true indeed I’m very grateful for all the kind words. It means a lot

  8. Plus Dunn never played in Europe as far as I can remember Given neither had a career where you can use trophies as a barometer of success I'd say euro and prem appearances is the next best thing And Nolan wins easily

Besides, Nolan never did this

  11. Some complete idiot at work has just come back from a skiing trip in Italy and decided that it was a good idea to come into the office - ignoring clear instruction from the business to work from home if you have been to an effected area His position isn’t critical by a long shot (Nobody’s is at our place to be fair), he could just as easily work from home Imagine if this twats spread a virus for no other reason than he wanted to be a hero coming into the office! Officially a wanker for me

  13. When Rochdale fired him off the team was in freefall, couldn’t buy a win, team selections were nonsense, players regularly played out of position , substitutions bizarre and he kept players out of team for personal reasons not performance related. Also spouted shite after every game. Sounds familiar ? He was sinking them fast, not an ideal cv or pedigree for success at a bigger club. The mans a charlatan, simples.

  15. The question should never be whether a club can afford to sack someone. It should be can they afford not to. FWIW, I'm still hoping Hill's appointment was on the same lines as they way we had to assemble a squad in August, Cheap, available and temporary. Early January, the loanees went back and he said there's be a change towards planning for the future. two weeks later and we're backing loaning players. Perhaps he was told that this season was as far as he should plan. Last night, he said he hoped to be given the chance to manage us next season. Perhaps it's not set in stone that he will.

  16. He may have done a nice presentation and been the right man at the time but he isn't anymore. Fans are losing interest. Someone today, granted they are a chorley wanker, has pointed out how close they are to not bothering and then the reality of them stopping altogether due to once you stop its hard to get started again. Maybe its the friend groups i have but everyone seems to talk of him being stubborn and able piss people off very easily. "He is a nightmare in the pub" etc. The training sessions video'd seem amateur and there appears to be no formation / plan. we may have shit players but we weren't this bad before he brought in his new guys in the window. Folk will back the club but they are not doing it with someone who constantly comes out with drivel post match. yes it can be ignored however you ignore them, then the pre match, then the highlights, then the match

  18. For the record, I hope Weinstein gets 25 years. So you don't accept the notion that there are bandwagon jumpers/opportunists? Still, Mr. Feminazi, I wouldn't expect anything else from the WWays champion for womens rights. Must be a guilt trip. I don't know why I waste my time with a fucking imbecile like you. Bye.

  19. That’s where I’m at. Didn’t want to go tonight, had promised the lads so didn’t want to let them down. Seeing as we are the shittest team in the country away this last decade and considering some of the shit that has brought, in comparison to quite a lot of away days it wasn’t that bad. We scored, made a fight of it second half, nearly got a point. A lot more than I was expecting

  23. Its one of life's mysteries. When you think we've variously had Lowe, Bridcutt, Politic, Crawford and ,Darcy available, all of which are/were arguably in the "guaranteed pick" category, playing in the same position and we only need 3 of them there...yet its always Murphy and 2 others, with Hill deciding Lowe and Bridcutt are defenders to shoehorn Murphy in. And that's without mentioning lesser players like Graham , Mellis and Hamilton. Its poor from Hill and I'd say that if we'd won 10 on the trot.

  25. Kind of sneaks up on you this pension-age malarkey. You go to bed as a 25 year old and suddenly wake up at 55. For all you millennials on here, don't put off paying into a pension. If you don't start now, before you settle down, you'll find lots of other stuff to spend your money on and no amount of new cars, large TVs, holiday memories, etc., are going to pay you a decent income in 40 or so years time.
