  1. From what I can see, and I know fuck all about dealing with pandemics, the only mistake the govt. have made is the lack of decent PPE. Beyond that, they are dealing with a nightmare. They have managed to pay half the population a decent wage, whilst asking for fuck all in return apart from watching box sets and drinking. Theyve built a 4,000 bed hospital in a week or so. They did that in China and people were wanking themselves to the salt. They are being transparent about their strategy, and it seems to be doing ok in comparison to most other countries. All whilst having to field daily questions off Robert fucking Peston. I’ll stick with team Boris for now.

  8. Nah. Thick. Saw one woman yesterday do her shopping that consisted of a garden Strimmer and 12 cans pull her gloves off to puff on her e-cig then put them back on again afterwards. I've tried explaining to people that wearing gloves to go shopping is a waste of time but they don't want to listen 🙄 If they where scared they wouldn't be in B n M bargains 6 days of the week buying shit.

  12. Don’t disagree with that at all, but the buck for that falls with the actual clubs - and maybe their owners, at a push - rather than the players themselves. Not as if any of the political parties are calling for similar actions from any of their benefactors.

  19. I want to know, technically, how do you test for something that 3 weeks ago was unique to Chinese bats? And how many million of these tests are you supposed to have in stock? Where do they come from and lastly who does the testing?

  25. It's not just a blogger on ConservativeWomen.co.uk, Trevor Kavanagh in The Sun and Toby Young have both offered up variations of the 'wake up sheeple, it's just flu' column in the last few days. It's exactly the type of shit that re-inforces views, gets shared widely on Facebook and ultimately sees people take this virus far less seriously than they should be.

  30. This is terrible twisting of the truth. The majority of people who die wouldn't have died when they did were it not for Covid-19. Its like saying having HIV isn't what kills you - it probably isn't its the fact over time your body loses immunity so eventually you die from an innocuous infection in many cases. But if you hadn't contracted HIV you wouldn't have died. Most people who die from Covid-19 will be as a result of organ failure. Or secondary infection. But that doesn't mean they'd have pegged it anyway that day, week or month. Many will die who otherwise would have lived for years, or decades.

  33. I’d rather the government over reacted, and we had NHS staff twiddling their thumbs for a few weeks, than doing very little and seeing hospitals looking like Omaha Beach on d day. We just have to accept the lockdown, stick to it and hope we can come out of hibernation sometime in May.

  35. So why we building emergency hospitals then? Authors of articles like that ought to go to a busy hospital, take a look and maybe interview some staff, rather than sitting at home with their calculator trying to make on it's not that bad

  37. Yep. Woman at the lodge whilst walking the dogs. Her dog was happily mooching. She suddenly grabbed it, struggled to put it on the lead whilst desperately trying to pull a scarf over her face. Then descended down the banking like Hilary trying to get away from an Everest like storm. Wouldn't make eye contact, nor speak. I could do no more than laugh. I wouldn't mind but I was only walking along with my cock out!

  42. Might not be wise S. Besides the fact you never know who is looking and what old files might still be open, there's the odd mouthy fucker on here who would have been running away back in the day who would now be quick to point out anything which might be construed as self promotional. Better to be self deprecating or remain quiet on this front methinks. Any talk only in generalities and not specifics.
