  1. On the strength of his work at Rochdale, I thought that Hill was a good choice, but in the position we were in, the first job of a competent manager would be to strengthen the defence & make us hard to beat. In reality though,, under Hill the defence was a mess & got worse, & as a team we were always on the verge of collapse , while most of the time, you couldn't see what we were trying to do. A shambles. Normally ,a lot of fans including me, would accept how difficult the job was & give him more time, but his idiotic ravings have pushed people over the edge. It's hard to see how anyone who talks such shite can be capable of turning the club around or motivating the players. They probably think he's a dick.

  2. I’ve an issue with you though. You come on here with half cocked ideas, argue semantics, defend the people who time and again let you down. You’re aggressive, unfunny, and a nasty piece of work at times. Ive been on this forum since rivals and I’ve never felt the need to call out anyone, but you need to stop arse licking the folk who make your ego feel good, calm down and listen a bit more. Christ, give me mounts, Bolty and Miami - at least they are funny, reasonable (on ocaasion 😉) and always supported when doing odd things over the years. Esco, mate, no one needs the grief. Pipe down, son.

  5. Ok. So. My point. It is that to use the “good people of this board” as a sample for how things might pan out might not be the best sample of society to use. thanks for confirming my precise point birch. Very much appreciated

  6. Back to the same the brexit thread. So shit here and worlds about to cave in but people choose to remain here with their kids. Strange choices but you don’t know people’s circumstances I guess. some would struggle to qualify for residency in a lot of countries I suspect. It’s tough and they only want the cream

  9. I think it is more credible that he drove to his dads to drop off supplies compared to driving 260 miles to stay on parents farm With no Stops and then driving for an hour to test his eyesight and stopping off in some woods for a wee and a play and then his wife wrote an article about it that failed to mention going to Durham or the kid being hospitalised and then being picked up by dad whose eyesight was perfect despite his wife’s story being that at that time he was sick in bed. He then returned to work and never discussed with his boss but he did have a chat when he was ill but neither of them can remember it. But you are right it is similar 😂😂

  10. circles, agreements, I'm easy but, and don't take this the wrong way, it comes across (to me) like a pedant tory apologist (which you say you're not) to suggest he doesn't make the rules he was breaking he plays a huge part in the messaging and guidelines that are delivered, so he knew better than most (i.e. the rest of the population) what he could and couldn't do anyway leave it there if you want

  13. We’ve been over all this Theres a disproportionate ratio of rapey Muslim gangs to rapey white gangs. Thats not in doubt. There is a culture/community issue that needs addressing but in the meantime the police are dealing with it away from public gaze. The existence of social media means that people are impatient and won’t let the police do their thing - although the pressure applied to get results is a positive. Whoever said they are interlopers is just singling themselves out as racist. There is an issue, 100%. Vigilantes ruining peaceful people’s lives is not, and will never be, the answer.

  15. re: the first bit in bold, course not, no one can deny it, it's out there, we all know it happened which is why I'd be surprised if there were still cover ups of such a scale the issue is you still have a body of folk who instantly assume this is the case on each crime moving forward, it's no surprise Tommy Robinson has rocked up in Barrow it's not about the feelings of those accused, they can rot for me and I hope whoever did this gets caught and punished it's the lives of those not involved who get affected I'm more concerned about, as described in that link about the takeaway owners miami already said such folk tried to distance themselves from this, well, it looks like it didn't work and the folk of barrow are going after anyone with the same colour skin that's why people, like me, get our backs up, and calling them "interlopers" isn't exactly the best starting point

  17. You have blocked me, so you probably won’t see this. Hopefully someone will quote me, so you can. Firstly, before you start claiming I am an apologist or similar, I think the abuse is horrific and it does seem to be a real problem in certain cultures, particularly Muslim male groups. Whoever perpetrates these crimes needs to be held accountable and the full force of the law should be thrown at them. There is no defending the indefensible. Can I ask though, who are you describing as “interlopers” (ie someone who is somewhere they don’t belong) and why are you describing their children as ‘British’ rather than British? For someone who claims not be racist, your comments above very much read to me like you are saying Muslims don’t belong here and that their children should not be classed as British. No doubt you’ll claim it means something else. Perhaps it was a typo.

  18. Actually the conservatives have dropped 20% in the polls since the beginning of the month, Boris’ personal rating down by 13% - be interesting when June’s figures cone out. Also Cumming’s isn’t a Tory, I don’t think you can ascribe any political leaning to his views, he detests MPs on all sides for being in his mind ineffectual and not giving a real shite about public service. He’s interested in disruption, to bring it all down - to break the current wheel. In that sense that’s why he went for Brexit, to remould the world order and to break up the traditional way of consensus. Boris and the Tories are a useful Trojan horse for his ideas. My issue is that whilst a questioning of the nature of our legislature is essential and a re-structure of the civil service and MP’s accountability is needed and valuable, I’m not sure his outlined strategy for the re-build is useful or workable. Whilst very bright, I feel that he’s not as sharpe as one would need to be to completely carry out the rebuild from his destruction of the norm. Also, when you are a self-styled disruptive force, you do believe the normal rules do not apply to you, and at this time we need consensus, not mavericks. So yes MPs are sticking it to him, whatever political creed. He does need a tighter lease on him and we need a PM who isn’t simply a vessel, but has an agenda of their own. What this issue has exposed is the nature of a Johnson government, and that has wider implications. Let’s not get distracted by drives to Durham, this is now about how willing is our government to allow unchecked authority reign at the heart of our political landscape.

  21. The fact that the Tory supporters are now telling people that no one cares and it is time to move could be translated as ‘yes you have made your point it is a fuck up we have no defence.’ May 2017 Dianne Abbott got her numbers messed up in a radio interview. That has been left well behind has nt it ?

Best thing I ever heard about Bergkamp is he would say to the midfielders, when they had the ball and wanted to pass it into him, they had to watch his movements, and pass the ball to him on his second movement because the first movement was for the defender to fall for. Genius. Robben my arse.
