Having lived in wigan (by the width of a stream) for the best part of 30 yrs i have watched them build this "rivalry" with bolton. Years ago i knew 3 blokes who were wigan fans and all were sound lads. Everyone else just watched manure when they were on super sunday in the pub. Once whelan got them up and started handing out feebies in schools it seemed to breed a new strain of wigan rat. This new breed has no concept of what wigan really are and they genuinely "believe" they are as big a club as bolton/blackburn etc. They have an irrational hatred of bolton one that can only be understood if you have lived or worked amongst them. Fuck me they had a european trip of a lifetime and took the opportunity to fly flags expressing how much they dont like us. These wankers deserve to suffer but not for to long . I would like to see the club fold. Not just drop down the leagues but actually disappear. They have revelled in every moment of our fall. Every fucking moment and I for one will take great delight in returning the favour. FUCK EM

Your determination to excuse the Govt is fucking stupid. Which given you are clearly not stupid is baffling. The Govt started off with the international comparisons in every briefing. They stopped as the comparison was unfair. They stopped at the same time as their numbers showed we were doing badly. They had the science advisors at every briefing as we were driven by the science. They produced a chart that mapped how we would leave lock down based on the science and R rate dropping. That chart is no longer presented but we have continued to leave lockdown. They have presented numbers every day that say how many people have died. They are stopping this as the number they have used every day might not be accurate. You know as well as I do that any project that is being based on data that you verify your source data as the very first thing because if that is wrong and is driving decisions you will make bad calls. So if the Govt is using incorrect data that is a fuck up. At least by using the same data source you can map progress in terms of numbers increasing/decreasing. Not perfect but better than no guide until accurate data is available. Daily cases of infections have been steady for a few days now which will lead eventually to deaths going the same way.

I look at Sheffield Utd signings and usually think wtf, similar with Burnley but a good manager who’s done his homework makes it work

I’m just glad they make people wet the bed so much. Exactly. And if they go bust I wont feel that enjoyment, having local rivals creates a sporting perpective. If we're halfway in Div 1, that sounds like nothing to shout about, but if Wigan are bottom of Div 1 playing the kids, we get the bragging rights. I dont feel any bragging rights over Bury, they just dont exist. Make them suffer on the field, I really dont get the point of it if we want the other 90 clubs to go pop.

Self fufficiency for Wigan Athletic is what we used to play in the 80s at Springfield Park. Since old broken leg appeared they have been punching massively above their weight. Normal service is now slowly resuming. I really hope I'm right in saying this.... the only way is up for Bolton, the only way is down for Wigan. Somewhere in the next two or three years are paths will cross while on our different trajectories and there's going to be enjoyment to be had.

I can't forget or forgive those twats singing Bolton's going bust at our place. Then turning up outside our ground grinning, taking photos and revelling in our demise. I don't give a flying fuck if they fold.

3 worst lagers i've ever had Gold medal Lager - sold in Angels nightclub in Burnley, my mate said " I wouldn't like to try the fucking Bronze" It was truly rancid. Grunhalle - Just pure shite, when you got half way down the glass + it had warmed up a little,, the smell was fucking putrid.Usually served at 20 deg celsius - fucking horrible, properly fucking horrible. Stein Lager - A Thwaites brew? It was beyond rank, i know they sold it in the Starkie, which i didnt often use , for various reasons. I'd like to add a number 4 - Slalom Lager ( From Scottish+Newc brewery iirc) an acquired taste, that not many folk acquired . A grim offering indeed. Even shite like Carling is like nectar compared to the piss we had to sup in the 70's/80's.

Fuckin pisses me right off the when folk think they can just decide they don't feel like having a dog after "giving it a go" FFS. Had an argument with a mate of a mate once because him and his Mrs decided to send his 2 year old spaniel to the shelter after having a baby as "it was a bit too much" only to get another pup 12 months later. You’re thinking of the similar incident at the brass handles just near the precinct two black lads walked in opened fire and think someone took one of the guns off one they both legged it and both were shot dead In the car park. the ship incident they were looking for Ste lydiate (Jason Lydiates brother). He subsequently kidnapped and tortured a lad and held him hostage for about a week, pulled his teeth out , electrocuted him the lot (was the wrong lad ) looking for revenge.
