They’ve been telling us for months that BAME and Asian communities are most at risk from covid. Now the stats are proving that correct. The government are emposing harsher restrictions on hot spots, which are predominately Asian community areas. Now we have people denying this and we are all as one and nobody should take responsibility? They are at risk because of the way they live and the way large proportions of them have carried on without giving a fuck. I say they as separating people in to groups using religion, places of origin, colour, hair colour, sexual persuasion, musical interest etc etc is pretty fucking common across the world and helps doctors, scientist and every fucker else. We are not all the same. It is not racist to say we are not and highlight problems withins groups of people. Gingers are more likely to get sunburn. The Asian community are more likely to get covid. White folks are more likely to be alcoholics. All this shouldn’t need explaining ffs

I was reminded of an email I sent a year ago this week when a Liverpool fan I have dealings with said "are you looking forward to the start of the season" in all innocence. I replied along the lines of we've only got 5 players, of which 3 have put their notice in and the PFA have lent us £200k so that we can be given permission to play our first game at Wycombe, if we can raise a team. Things have come a long way for us and now its someone else's turn. We should raise a glass to FV this weekend or whenever an appropriate anniversary is, it shouldnt be forgotten and what they've done for us taken for granted.

That’s a generalisation of 100,000 people. In communities where the 100,000 is made up with higher numbers of BAME Covid transmission levels are generally greater. This has been the case from the start, cultural differences with the way certain groups tend to live and mix are clearly playing a part here Some are trying to make out that BAME are impacted worse than the average because of systemic racism, which for me is bollocks

What I do know is, he showed no symptoms until a month before he died and we didn't know it was cancer until 3 days before he went. Mental couple of weeks when I think back though. Ever the practical thinker, his words to me and my brother just a few hours before he died were "if it has to happen, better this way than you having to watch me get more and more frail for months!". Not sure me mum sees it that way though. Not sure you needed to hear all that really but suppose my point is, cancer is an absolute cunt and if you can spare a few quid to this cause then please do.
