You've paid £50 or whatever it is, just to wear around the house? Have you never heard of Primark?1 like

First competitive match for a brand new team. bradford well organised and been together for a while. lot of positives - kept the ball well, didn’t panic, some good performances BUT did give 2 soft goals and could have been more and didn’t create enough chances. however, it’s a cup game - we won’t win this cup and a decent draw in the next round makes no difference at the moment. Another chance in a cup Tuesday - not overly bothered again, but then it starts, then we switch on and we give it everything come next Saturday at 3.1 like

From where we where this time last season. From where we where we at the end of last season. And for a team just put together I am optimistic after what I saw. Don't get me wrong I saw plenty I didn't like but at least we didn't get dicked by 5. I'm a glass half full man.1 like

I wouldn't wear a replica shirt, but on the other hand I also wouldn't pitch up at a game with a coat that had goggles built into the hood.1 like

Precisely. That would be a slap in the face for all the true supporters who've put their money into the club they love. Anybody who has the money to renew but waits until they can get into matches before doing so should hang their heads in shame. The club should have made it clear upfront that there will be no reductions in season ticket prices until the half-tickets go on sale1 like

I would be more than pissed off if they reduced prices of new ST, by discounting the matches already played.1 like

My two pet hates in team selection are playing players out of position - so far so good on that front - and 3 at the back. Drives me mad. Invites pressure and basically you're saying "we're better than you, we only need 3 defenders" so yes you need to be the better team. Nobody played 3 with wing backs when playing Liverpool or City away, they might do it against Macclesfield at home, expecting to have a lot of the ball and even then only if your centre backs are quick and better than average. We aren't at that stage yet.1 like

Plastic is still fashionable. As is the continued trend of bare earth in borders. Definitely more awareness of insect friendly plants- have a watch of the channel 4 programme - Jimmy's big bee rescue.1 like

I don’t think Bradford have much more to give so that gives me massive confidence as we’ve a stack of improvements in us as time goes on. if that’s a yardstick for the top end of the opposition we face in the league this year then I’m more than happy with that1 like

He does but Baptiste’s also half at fault then as Santos was drawn to his man and caught between the 2 of them as he just left him. he still looks a calamity, even at this level Theres clear communication issues between the 3 CB’s and also the CB’s and WB’s. Hopefully it’s sorted in time...1 like

Some good build up especially Jones and white down the right but we are not hitting the front men so far. I think Sarcevic and Gordon have a lot more to give. If we keep patient I think chances will come and I’ll plump for Doyle to get one second half.1 like

Good old Bury New Road, where folk were only too willing to believe that "It's them Muslims causing it all." Must admit, i had started to think it too but i didn't then start licking door handles as if it was safe to do so.1 like

I dunno, I think a lot of folk know he was a great and diverse songwriter - Mamma I'm coming home, see you on the other side etc Plus in interviews he always said he was a rock n roll writer not metal, like a lot if what gets lumped under that banner. Plus wrote arguably Hawkwinds most famous song. People just see Snaggletooth and think its just mindless noise. Philthy, Lemmy and Fast Eddie made pure, noisy rock n roll.1 like

I’ll never really understand why people think it’s odd that somebody who is 20+ would wear their teams shirt to the match. It’s a football shirt at a football match. I don’t tend to wear shirts these days because it becomes difficult to get in to pubs, especially at away matches. But there’s no finer site than seeing the Reebok crowd completely decked out in white when the weather is warm, like on the first game of the season. I do however draw the line at getting a players name on your shirt, especially if said player is 20 years younger than you. Each to their own and all that.1 like

Imo it's nothing at all like "Heard it thru the Grapevine" Totally different pace. The MG song Bolty linked is a rare old song deemed not commercial enough to make it as a chart hit. It was picked up by the Northern Soul DJ's years ago due to it's fast beat and is seen as an obscure classic. Like someone said, Raw/Powerful/Emotive - i can imagine MG recording it in one passionate take. Just brilliant imo, but if we all liked the same music the world would be a boring place + the dance floors would be too full.1 like

Some folk will moan at owt. Selective in their reading and reporting because they don't like someone. Too entrenched to see the bigger picture and the damage general ignorance, arrogance and self righteousness can cause.1 like

Mavin Gaye. Now he is a song smith. Whats going On ? Is one of my favorite albums , yes its a generational thing . Every home had a copy. I love my classic rock and metal music. But my music collection is vast and varied. Earliest album is by Robert Johnson. I enjoy blues ( very very old) In all its forms , even the old jug band and french influenced. My Jazz collection ( usually played in winter time ) is a strange collection heavily influenced by Bix Beiderbecke . Which brings me back to Marvin Gaye and the wonderfull era of Motown and Soul. The female artists of this era are the most amazing vocalists of all time. Power and Passion. Hot , sexy Women who could hold a note and strut the stage. The all guy groups could fill any dance floor or disco. Talking of disco , i also respect The Bee Gees ( not the suger plum Saturday Night stuff). But the New York Mining story albums .Any live album by them Rocks. Must admit that i do not know much about Northern Soul , but it was raw and powerfull . I count myself very lucky to have lived through such a vast musical era before Simon Cowell almost single handedly managed to sanitise the nations ears. Blues - Soul - Jazz - Motown - Sixtys pop - 70's Top of the Pops variety- Glam Rock - Punk - The Manchester Bands - Classic Rock - Prog Rock ;Heavy Metal- And now Danish & Viking metal . All excellant. ( even a copy of Crocodile Shoes lurks in the loft). But NOT one note of (C) rap exists in my house. Rant over Bolty . What ever music you love , play it often and listen to the words and move to the beat.1 like

I've mentioned this before, my dad was dyed in the wool utd fan. born and bred in odsall, era of the babes, cousin won the league in the 50s etc. he was so sick of hooliganism he refused to take me to football in the 80s. despite having shirts etc up to 85, i was always a wum so cheered for whoever they were playing, and followed the dippers. my mates dad took us to burnden, without my dad knowing- robbing him of an once in a lifetime opportunity. i am equally gutted and chuffed about that... this influenced me, but it wasnt until i jumped on a 36 with a couple of mates when i was 13. preston, 1-0, pitch invasion, dancing on the town hall steps... magical. i was bitten by the cruellest and most addictive drug; its venom seeped into my veins and 30 years later i am still hooked. yet it couldve been so different- this is why i took mine at the earliest opportunity1 like
