  1. I'd just be happy for an additional two players to the squad at the moment. I may be wrong, but I thought our squad was one of the smallest in the Premier League last season, and we have released/moved players on/lost players that makes us around another 8 or so lighter. So far we have brought Pratley in, but by my reckoning, we need another 9 or 10 to better the squad from last season. I'm generally a confident person, but am starting to get a bit twitchy now!
  2. He hasnt spent enough time at the club for us to be even discussing talks of a ?15m+ deal. He scored a few goals for us in the latter part of the season, but so did Elmander at the start of the season and we were cursing spending ?9m on him. I am yet to meet a City fan that regrets the sale of Sturridge and Chelsea are still in the market place for a new striker even with their current squad, so what does that say. A 12 month loan, with a view to a permanent deal at the end of it is by far the better option.
  3. What is HMRC doing allowing Portsmouth to run up a debt of ?12m anyway? I have not read anything about this, so dont know the facts, but surely this has built up over a number of years and its only now, when Portsmouth are fucked, that they want their money back.
  4. Memo to self: If i am ever feeling down, contact bwfcmiskell for some positive thoughts. His cup is always half full.
  5. What exactly has JLS done wrong? IMO he was one of a few players who came through last season with his reputation in tact and didnt deserve to lose his place at the start of the season to Paul Robinson.
  6. Completely agree. Am looking forward to watching Weiss and Wilshere play for the trotters, but lets just be fair on the team that has got us two wins and two clean sheets in the last two games.
  7. Struggling to understand your last sentence. Are you happy that Basham has extended his contract or sad that it may lead to McCanns exclusion?
  8. No doubt, Eddie has his own insurance. For the right money, i am sure there is an insurance company that is prepared to insure Eddie Davies against his losses should the worse case scenario occur over a period of time. On another note, i havent read through all 185 responses so this may have already been covered, but i read something at the start of the week that said we were one of 2 Premier League clubs that had increased gates last season. Well those figures tend to suggest otherwise?
  9. By far the best team i have watched all season for overall play. Think the African Nations will play a big part in their season, and based on the play so far this season, Utd will struggle to finish ahead of both Chelsea and Arsenal.
  10. Just park in the Bromilow car park for nowt and have a pint of Pippin en route while the kids dick about in the play area. Everyones a winner.
  11. Blah blah blah, the bulk of that is toss!
  12. Give a fook! Different league.
  13. I'm just thankful that we have decent cover now across the back four with three new signings that all have premiership experience. Dont remember BWFC bringing in so many new players at this stage of the transfer window and all transfers have been conducted in a quiet fashion. Also, if you can believe what you read in todays press, both have chosen us over other Premier clubs, which says something for the club/manager.
  14. Why dont you go and support City, cause they're a spending club. Our club, would be better off without you.
  15. You're obviously not married. Without a season ticket, my Saturdays would be spent in Ikea looking for colourful pieces of shit wood. I have renewed and got my soon to be 4 son a season ticket cause he loved the three games i took him to last season. I have threatened to not get one, but cant follow it up, cause to be honest, i'd miss it.
