  1. I always rated another Rangers player that has been released, Marvin Andrews. Looked like a top notch no-nonsense defender to me, seen him bleed for a cause on a couple of occasions. Any followers of Scottish football, or Rangers perhaps, give me a lowdown on whether he'd be good enough as a backup? Reading were linked earlier in the Summer.
  2. Couldn't care less about his attitude, I know he's a prick. But regardless of how poor the Turkish league is in general, there are only a select amount of players in the world capable of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKnYCLtBOuI And those 'select' players are world class. Can't say I could see Beattie producing magic such as that on any stage, including sunday league.
  3. Who's the only player to win Premiership, FA Cup, Champions League, Turkish League, Turkish Cup, European Championship and Copa Del Rey?????? Well it isn't someone in the Neverton squad! ::::::::::::::
  4. The Observer made a large article surrounding Samba as well. http://usyouthsoccer.org/doc_lib/Stifling%...nal_article.doc Remember seeing him score two for England schoolboys years ago. He was supposed to take the place Walcott did. Thought I'd get a chance to see him last season, considering Cadiz had been promoted to La Liga. Got loaned out to the Segunda Division straight away though.
  5. Good luck matey. I wouldn't sell him for ??12m, and he's convinced Barcelona want him. Not sure what position he's going to play next season though, his replacement Robert was quality.
  6. Nothing can beat Filbert Street, back in 2001. Back in the Prem after a three-year absence, and we filled the seats we were given half an hour before kick off. Both sets of fans singing, most notably Leicester fans singing that ''we were going down'' on several occasions. We then took the piss out of them of course, and the rest is history. It was Leicester that were to go down, and this occurred in the same week that Big Sam signed a TEN-year contract. Best news the club has had in years, regardless of what you say, you ****ing Lofty hater.
  7. I thought the female? in photo one was bad enough. One directly behind the left hand post, just above the crossbar.
  8. Don't Citeh apply in that category?
  9. End of the day, I'd say Kerzhakov has the greatest chance out of any of those of signing for a huge European club. This lad has bags of potential, only 23, and tends to drift out wide, which would be ideal for our style of play. Has a bit of pace about him as well, so I'll have to say him at this moment in time.
  10. I think we would risk spending ??5.4k on him to be honest. ::::::::::::::
  11. No need for a comment like that. Not only will we not sign another striker with more quality, it's extremely harsh on Borgetti who I admired, despite him finding it difficult. I still fail to see where we will find a finisher as deadly as him the way pre-season has gone. I hope Sam has fallen out with Borgetti or something, otherwise that comment was uncalled for.
  12. Being based in London is always an attraction for players, especially foreigners. Look at how quickly Jimmy Floyd moved back down south. Was anyone else linked with him before he signed for them, other than us of course. They also apparently beat us to the signing of that Corey Gibbs bloke, States international.
  13. Tristan was the business at one point. Back when they won La Liga, and he bagged loads for two or three seasons running, United were rumoured to have bid around ??15m for him. Sadly almost all of those goals are from when he was the business. If you think Luque is nothing compared to what he was in La Liga, or that he is simply a bit weak, Tristan would be a terrible move for a big name striker IMO.
  14. I wonder how much Sam rues the fact that he didn't get Nugent from Bury in the first place. That was back when we were really skint, and worried about shelling ??90k out on him when he was at Bury. Apparently watched him on several occasions before North End snapped him up. As for Tristan, fcuk knows what happened to that lad. Hasn't been the same for years.
  15. My views are like many have posted already. Wasn't keen on first, but I'm impressed with the new features, and it needed a change anyway. Much better than the grey one that was tested a few months back. Makes a change not seeing so many posts that have a Pinocchio-esque smily after every post. Good job Happy.
  16. He was extremely prolific, although Mateja Kezman was even more prolific than him, so it's not right to judge his goal tally I suppose.
  17. Ah yes, the guy that played up front with him. Both tiny if I recall.
  18. I like how Traf still calls El-Hadji by his nickname, despite the fact he hates his fcuking guts.
  19. On a serious note, I rate this guy highly from what I've seen of him. Chelsea were linked last season. Tends to drift out wide a lot. Could be another contender for a player in the Stelios/Vaz Te/Diouf etc. role.
  20. What message would that be, other than the fact that Windass was shite in the Prem the first time around? And I didn't need the internet love. Some of us know about football without looking at statistics or making ridiculous ideas up that would be worse off for our club.
  21. Which relegated team would that be? Seems to remember him moving to Boro as soon as Bradford got promoted, so never got relegated with a Premiership side, just got put in the reserves due to him not being good enough. Considering you're so arrogant, your knowledge of football is generally poor.
