  1. Due to go Rhodes in a couple of weeks. Do I wait and hope it sorts itself out or look to transfer holiday elsewhere. Hotel booked is not in an evacuated area, yet.
  2. Have Sunderland been in the top 6 at any point before today?
  3. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65484165.amp Voted to merge. The right decision and as much as they hate us, I’d like to see them back.
  4. Very happy with that, him committing to three years would suggest he’s going to get the resources he thinks he needs.
  5. Absolutely buzzing to be in play offs, weirdly probably more so than getting to the papa johns final. Prefer to play Barnsley who are leaking goals for fun and our defence fairly solid, if we can more clinical then we have every chance.
  6. I don’t disagree with you first two points generally, but it’s likely to be what Portsmouth fans were saying years ago after their troubles and look where they are. We will become weaker losing the loanees, but stronger if we do go up as we will get better signings. I’d much rather go up, deal with a difficult season next year and hopefully stay up, then can become established in the Championship. Rather be a Luton than a Portsmouth.
  7. That was stressful, wouldn’t let me assign to my lad who is a member. Got them now so I’m happy.
  8. With the police so convinced that she went in the water, they’ll probably have pinpointed exactly where she went in, marks on the ground where she slipped?
  9. Me plus one being of those southern based fans. Left it late to get tickets and didn’t trust the Royal Mail to deliver on time when I tried. Apparently e-tickets are not an option.
  10. Looking forward to the Richard Riakporhe fight, he’s been quietly going about his business and looks a prospect. He’s 33 though.
  11. Two hours to have a shit. Inability to have a shower without flooding the bathroom. Pretty sure my kids think water, gas and electric are free, I tell them they’ll get a shock when they move out, they don’t believe me though.
  12. Helping hand with the rules, from back when he played though.
  13. I went to the World Grand Prix in 2021 and he was a top bloke, had loads of time for the fans off stage with photos etc. He doesn’t do himself any favours on stage celebrating each 180 how he does, but this no different to MVG and he doesn’t get the same treatment. I would imagine that most booing him last night didn’t know why they booing and were just doing so because ‘it’s what you do’.
  14. I played a Bedfordshire County A player last week in the local pub league. Got battered and nowhere near having a shot at a double. Don’t know why they bother playing in the pub leagues really.
  15. Michael Smith has got the winning a TV major monkey off his back so I expect a good run from him too. He generally does well here too.
  16. Brentford away in September 1990. Lost 4-2.
  17. I fit into this category, easy for me to get to places like MK, Cambridge, Ipswich and the likes and less so for home games and local away’s but that shouldn’t give me any advantage.
  18. Going to take a punt that you are under 30. My kids expect everything immediately, life just isn’t like that. This time two years ago we were flirting with the national league. If 40 places progress is snails pace then you are deluded.
  19. Absolutely, I’m still optimistic.
  20. When have we gone backwards under Evatt’s regime. I know we are not playing well right now but we are still moving forwards.
  21. Don’t understand the Evatt out brigade. In his third year and progress has been made every year. We are in a play off place and still have every chance. Sure, we are not playing well but we are still there or thereabouts and historically we are always shit in October. Keep the faith.
  22. I think the prem teams got invited as a way to deter thought moving from B teams coming into the league. For me it’s FA snobbery who want the big teams to get better and see it as younger players getting an opportunity to compete with established teams thus progressing more quickly into the first team so willing to ruin an established competition which is the small clubs chance of getting to Wembley. It’s not worked out the FA hoped as the under 21 teams are not at a level they thought. It would be interesting to see where the u21 players who played in the competition 5 years ago are now, whether they have filtered down to non-league, lower leagues or made it. The only player who stood out for me so far was that lad at Newcastle.
  23. Wasn’t there, didn’t watch it so only going on basis of stats. Defence seems solid but we can’t score which is a concern. Does Evatt weaken the defence to give more creativity? He needs to do something. October is always awful for us, but we’re in a pack of 6 teams all in or around the play offs, so whilst we are out of form, we’re still in it.
