The early part of this century has been decent though hasn't it? 2 european campaigns,3 top 8 Premiership finishes BWFC - 1950's - Good side 1960's - Shite team 1970's - great decade 1980's - Shiter than shite decade 1990's - On the way back, great decade 2000's - Established top flight team, plus European football, 2010 onwards - ???????????????????????????????

The 70's was a great time to be a Bolton fan - fairly similar to the 90's in that you could feel that something good was building. Promotion to the top flight in 1978 was the prize for all the hard work that Jimmy Armfield had started in the early 70's. The late great Ian Greaves continued the good work and built a side that played decent football. As for the Blackburn game in 1978, it was just a very very special night.

Burnley used to top of my hate list in the 80's, it's been watered down a bit because we haven't played them in ages - so they've slipped down to second now.

Aye, they were more than a little "fricky" of the unruly mob from over the hills back then and a lot stayed away because they didn't want to see us partying - i have heard it said there were around 7,000 Blackburn there that night. Bolton fans were everywhere, it was absolutely mental when the final whistle went I had never before (or since) seen so many Bolton fans on an away pitch at the end of a game.

The'91 FA cup tie at Man U was the only time i remember being allocted plenty of tickets at OT

Aye it's a hotel i think, they used to charge a couple of quid to park on there. The bar is usually fairly quiet, and doesn't have the atmosphere like the Cup and the Ferny.
