I was thinking more about our local derby motivational methods - or lack of them

I’d love to know what methods their coaching staff use to fire up their players before they play us at our stadium. Twice now at our place they have come out like raging bulls & perfectly motivated to be playing in a local derby, our lads on the other hand seem to just treat it as any other game and didn’t look particularly arsed that they were being battered.

A few Wiggin went to Howfen looking for trouble after the game and found it, from the footage i saw it looked like they took a bit of a battering.

It felt a bit of a let down in the end, which is weird as the game was just petering out towards our usual 3-0 victory. The ref decided he wanted to be the star of the show and he ruined a decent game. A couple of things to note though 1, Dion ain’t the brightest. 2, Evatt really needs to work on his own personal discipline, the way he performs on the touchline at times is unprofessional and a tad tinpot. Our i follow numbers were very good in previous seasons apparently.

Wigan fans were actually crowing about their attendance on FB yesterday - “highest attendance in Lg1” They had 9k home fans for the first home game of the season ffs.

I wonder how much more money our club expect to make with Wanderers TV, compared to i follow in previous seasons? I can’t imagine it being much tbh.

Funny one with Tommo who is no doubt a lovely lad with a great attitude. On the other hand he doesn’t win many tackles, he doesn’t create much, he doesn’t score many and he isn’t that good in the air. Basically he isn’t essential to our team and if the bids get up towards £2m maybe we should wave him off. Tommo is replaceable.

Vic didn’t score, but i see what you’re saying. A big plus for me is how we’ve discovered how to score from set pieces - a nice addition to our game. The lads look very confident & Rico looks unbeatable. Onwards & upwards.
