  1. People saying the current crop of Conservatives are right wing or left wing are basically ignoring that they are no longer a functioning party. They are a group of factions under the Tory banner. Depends which group are currently shouting loudest. The irony is that more right are being swept into Reform and the more central do not have a home in the party. So by trying to appeal to everyone and anyone they are fucking off everyone
  2. I thought asylum seekers had 'no recourse to public funds' so can not apply for council housing , unless they are on specific schemes for Ukraine and Afghanistan. Costs a fortune putting them up in hotels but if you come from France on a boat not sure you can apply for a council house. If you are French and coming from France on an EU settlement visa you can but think you have to be already living here to get one of them. Once the application is processed and if accepted you can apply for housing... I think.
  3. I though so but lots of more serious stuff on there
  4. I have changed my mind all is good.
  5. You are trying to make a point though are nt you ?
  6. You enter into debate with people and when you get the chance you vote. Of course it can feel like 'what difference do I make ? Or can I make ?' But it is not about the individual impact it is the collective power of a group of people. It is true in every aspect of life if you feel strongly enough about something and can generate the energy and support you can make a difference. Brexit is an example, Farage a one time was seen as a loony grifter pushing an agenda that would never go anywhere, roll on a few years, he is now a loony grifter who won the biggest vote in history. The Postmasters never gave up, the Hillsborough families. Sometimes just 'cracking on' is not enough. If you are happy that is what you want to do, fair play but there may well be something at some time in your life that needs more than 'cracking on' for different people it will be different things
  7. Look who wrote the article they sound foreign. Project Fear.

    Reading (H)

Watch the goals back, he wins a tackle for first goal, great ball for second , he is involved in 3rd and 4th too. I thought he was outstanding.

I am not Sheehans biggest fan, but yesterday on a few occasions he did a brilliant job covering back. Their number 10 pulled Santos out of position and they filled the space leaving us 3v3 at the with Sheehan one of those. Even though the first goal came from one of these that was more because others did not cover. Sheehan put in more tackles than I have seen from him in a single game.
  11. Think full series is on Iplayer, really like it after first 2

    Wembley 🍕

Can not watch this too many times. love it all it Gethins reaction when he scores and Sharon hugging every player after the game are brilliant moments as well as the actual game. Even our celebrity fan Vernon was a proper fan and better than Josh Widicombe. Was a perfect football day.

Reading were decent going forward, but they were woeful at the back, ok they were chasing the game but we should have scored plenty more. Thought was ok but let a couple of awful lunges go that looked awful. Is Legohead not allowed to shoot ? Must have had 5 or 6 chances where he tried a clever pass instead. Decent results for Barnsley and Peterborough puts all the pressure on Derby now
  14. 100% depends if we go up, if we do I want the bottom 3 to stay up, if we don't want them relegated .
  15. If people just stopped hating people for social media likes the world would rotate much more smoothly.

I disagree on Santos, although I agree he has been poor especially on Friday but I would question has Toal been much better in last few games. I am 100% certain that we are a better team when Santos is playing at his best and that if we are going to get out of the division we need to go on a crazy run or win the play offs, for either to happen we need to play at our best consistently. To play our best we need Santos. Maddest thing is that I honestly do not know what our best XI is. We have 3 options at LWB Ashworth has been as effective as any but has just disappeared from the team, RWB JDC has flattered this season but too often messes up final ball, so do you play Jones ? If not do you play Jones as part of back three with Santos and Toal, so no place for Forester who emerged from the bench for first in ages Friday (has become much better player in people's minds whilst not playing it seems) or Iredale who actually has a left foot. Midfield is 4 for 3 slots. Sheehan will start despite being MIA on Friday, Paris is frustrating as hell but can create, Legohead taken off early Friday but no worse than others, and then Dempsey who seems to be permanently one to miss out but who was our best midfielder early season with a broken back. Morley just never got going this season but at least he has a new contract. Up front Dion starts if fit , just for the boost it gives crowd, hopefully he has improved like Forrester and GJ whilst injured. If injured Collins I think starts with either JDB or CJ, but it is slim pickings. Of the three Collins is only one who has recent record (not with us) of going on some type of streak of scoring and/or creating. Or does Evatt say 'fuck it, too much thinking let's play same XI that battered Oxford and go out and the same ? Might be best option if Charles not fit
  17. Do you acknowledge that if we have made it easier to trade with countries on the other side of the world but harder to do trade with our nearest and biggest trade partners we are going to take a hit ? JRM was very clear this would happen, so it ain't Remainers saying this.
  18. Avoided reading stuff today. Here are my thoughts. Yesterday another packed away end watched one of the strangest passionless performances of the season at a time we need the exact opposite. Whilst there are excuses it seems there is always an excuse. It is not just the odd player it is the whole group and IMO you have to question the manager. His whole demeanour in recent has been downbeat with the weight of the world on his shoulders, now he has said the players were scared yesterday. Managers are 'mood magnets' for a team, sure we have all worked for positive managers and that rubs off on the team, equally when the manager is down it drags the team with them. Jose Mourhino is an example of how this works both ways. For the first time I am now questioning Evatt as our manager, you can only blame bad luck for so long, 2 games ago we had maybe our best result and performance of the season , what has happened that players are scared and underperforming ? The Charles and Baxter situation is just bizarre. Things have been creaking for 2-3 months now and it feels like IE has run out of ideas , energy and inspiration. Horribly painful to watch.
  19. Just got home. Having a M&S take away curry. pretty much sums up the game insipid.
  20. Blackpool only sold about 600 for Derby.
  21. Anyone watch Gray on Netflix ? It is fucking garbage. The leading woman, is a spy, meant I think to be sexy. In real life she is 65 and looks rough as fuck. https://www.primevideo.com/detail/Gray/0M4E8NRBENN4WUOAK1PIDZ1GU4
  22. Is it Harold Bishop? I honestly thought it was Big E 😂😂
  23. I do think there are plenty you have paid kids prices thinking even of kid only goes a few games sure mates will be able to sneak in on it and can use it if we fancy an away trip.
  24. We go to the away games and we have two old fuckers, one mid 20s, one late teens and one mid teens. Only the mid 20s wears anything other than Adidas. (One of the oldies is a teacher so fits your point) . I would guess at an average away game Adidas dominate footwear in the young and old. My step lad wears non adidas but he has massive feet and they shoes/trainers are fucking enormous. I should point out that the choice of trainer is not an enforced rule 😎😂. Just what we choose to wear and it has become part of the away day chat, the youngest either approving the elders choice of footwear or not. I did not realise that NB was having a surge but I am pretty sure in 2-3 years Adidas will still be the leading brand as they are genuine classics, reading the article you linked it also points out the boom in 'foam mule market' which are basically crocs. Another trend I am happy to pass me by.
