It was a hanging in the back streets of a ghetto in Jakarta. They had kids lined up to watch it with some iman shouting something. I was stuck in a car so couldn't get away. I don't think they'd have appreciated the white blonde woman telling them to stop. It was a couple of years back now mind but the image is still in the back of my mind somewhere. As you say, grim.
It's like a holiday flight hen you're in cattle, the only thing that gets me through that flight is the thought that I'm nearly home. Fucking passport control can be a nightmare though I noted they've got more of those automatic machines in. Thing is though, there's so many utter m0ngs who don't know how to use them it slows the queue.
Used to be a garage near where I grew up had 'hurry up harry' on its door for many years till they knocked the garages down. I never knew why they never painted over it but every time I walked past I hummed that tune.
You get idiots feeding the urban ones, aren't they cute etc. The ones round here are half the size and get twatted by next doors cat so I could send him down to do some windmilling.
I usually use Emirates but went with Etihad this last trip as they were offering a better deal. They're alright but the fuckers charge for wifi even in business and they don't have any cheese butties knocking about if you don't like the food they have on offer like Emirates do.
Singapore are pretty good but New Zealand airlines are my favourite.
I've noticed the media is trying to normalise women covering their hair with hijabs by shoving these women on adverts. It's not normal, it's backward thinking.
Off my soapbox now, it's too nice a day to worry about shit like that.
I've been looking into buying outside the EU and it looks pretty straight forward. I'm not sure what will happen post brexit Europe wise but the Bahamas used to be part of the British empire and they're happy to take our money.
