  1. JSL has been playing well for the last few weeks.
  2. Where's that head banging against wall smiley. Jussi was excellent today. Excellent.
  3. Cas, with the utmost respect, you and Zozzy are the kind of BWFC I love and wish we had more of. Always seeing the good, however miniscule it might be; always positive. Absolutely love it. I am pretty much the same way but on the Megson issue, I just can't be. An unambitious and unimaginative appointment and I will never change that view. This excellent win will give Gartside the ammo he needs to give his man a reprieve. No one will be happier than me if the dose can be repeated on a regular basis and I end up with egg on my face as a piss poor judge of a Premier League manager. I expect, however, that this won't be the case. For the record, if Megson could take the 'shame', I would keep him on as the assistant manager. I do actually like the bloke. Just can't cut the mustard as a motivator or an offensive tactician.
  4. Just sober up and come back on tomorrow. The result changes nothing as far as Megson is concerned in my opinion. Great to see a bunch of players with some heart and quality perform like that. Most of all, great to see a comfortable BWFC win over the worlds richest club. Get in there! It doesn't change the fact that it's 11 wins in 39 attempts under this manager.
  5. Was good all through but one interception around the penalty spot in the last 15 was superb.
  6. Smiffers - just exactly what is the point of this f?cking World Cup? What a complete and utter nonsensical waste of time. Just give the gloating f?ckers the trophy now (with a jar of KY) and bugger off home. Embarrassing and, even though blokes like me couldn't give two f?cks for the game, we are subjected to ridicule by brain dead Australians who still claim it as 'the greatest game of all'. Are they the only c?nts who take RL seriously? You will be pleased to hear that my response to their gloating usually baffles the turds. One raised eyebrow and a 'Who gives a sh1t? Game for fat, beer bellied miners played in two counties. Insignificant'.
  7. Correct spelling - voyeurism. Sorry, but it does me 'ed in when I see the same mistake being repeated
  8. 100% agree Hazzy. Just don't see why people have such great regard for Riga. Hopefully, they have seen summat I haven't and he suddenly blossoms.
  9. Well we could get into all sorts of comparisons here. Corporate banking, for example. Some of the wages and payoffs some of those f?ckers get would make some highly paid players green with envy. All a matter of scale. Irrelevant really. The point was, people often move with what they might consider to be a great manager in whatever field you want to name. I know. I've done it.
  10. As you know Zoz, that one is a matter of opinion. Some of us believe a bunch of fairly talented players dug in for their own personal reasons and saved us. I can't see where the current manager would have the attacking flair or the motivational skills to produce those last few results.
  11. 30/100. A Championship standard manager.
  12. I had that worked out mate. It does not alter the fact that the chanting of BSA's name at the home of Bolton Wanderers should be as acceptable as that of Super John, Johnny Byrom and Freddie Hill. All BWFC legends in my book. TBH, I really don't care if the other two you mentioned have the piss taken out of them. I have a lot of time for Gartside but am mindful of the fact that he gave us the appointment that people who know football understand.
  13. Thank you. You beat me to it. Anyone who believes Premier League clubs (or any other professional club for that matter) is not a business is actually the dumb one. Sadly, that is what they are all about these days. Merchandising before loyalty. Corporate before the loyal. Sorry Muzzle but, not for the first time, we disagree.
  14. I refer you to one of your earlier posts where you question my nationality and let us know that your father did not think well of you. Winning. Sam did it. Megson doesn't.
  15. Horwich & Blackrod Gurning Squadron. That would have em queuing up to join I'll give it some thought.
  16. Could it have been that you insisted on calling him Skippy too? Seriously - you make a very valid point. The 4-4 draw in the north London derby was extraordinary as was last seasons Spurs - Chelsea 4-4 draw. Oases in an avalanche of boring predictability. Hulls extraordinary performance this season is another but we all know what will happen next season, don't we? They'll have been sussed and will struggle a l? Charlton. You are right Cas. Would it be that bad if we did go back down? I have Setanta and many of the lower league games are far more enjoyable. That Blue Square league is a beltin watch in many cases. Not suggesting we go there, of course, but the championship may not be all that bad. Not with Meggers at the helm though please.
  17. Good luck Pea Lad. Whole thing needs modernising to gain any credibility. Sounds petty but I'd consider changing the name too. Sounds like a knitting circle.
  18. Such negativity doesn't become you Cas. I was thinking of a 5-2 defeat
  19. Loved The Sporting Life when I lived there. That article convinces me that it's still a great (and honestly accurate) read.
  20. Expecting a 0-0. Either team may pinch it at the death. Boring but I'll watch it (might be a 7 goal thriller now I've said that!)
