Possibly 2000, Iβve slept since π

Today sees WanderersWays turn 20 years. Back then in 1999 the internet wasnβt a big thing and certainly no BWFC sites existed. Iβd like to think we have come a long way since those early days and thanks to you we have been successful in many fronts. when I first set the site up it was published using Microsoft FrontPage if anyone remembers that? Then it was it was the turn of Dreamweaver for a while, then phpbb as the forum took off so that members could interact. Then another PHP content management software that allowed pages and a forum. I was approached by Rivals.net back in 2001 and moved the site to them for a successful 3 years, however I took the bold step to be a fully independent site again. All members followed WanderersWays back again, this time using the software we still use today, which I must say is perhaps one of the best out there. Many of you have been here since the humble beginnings and Iβd like to take this opportunity to thank you all. Ok so enough of my ramblings..... Letβs listen to some of your standout moments over the years? Over to you and keep it clean ππ

Local teams looking for friendly games
Happy Wanderer replied to Happy Wanderer's topic in Terrace Talk
Any saturday or sunday league teams looking to kick start their preseason? I know of a local business who is setting up a team and need games. -
RIP Barney. First met Barney on away days mid to late 70's, great lad.

The person who has asked for the pre-season friendlies is looking for teams who either play saturday or sunday football, not really just bunch of ramdom lads who will throw up after 10 minutes. -

It's almost getting to the point where this thread gets closed off due to fake news aka bullshit. When the deal is done we can all celebrate without he said this she said that meaningless shite.

Don't forget to check out the gallery. You can also add your bwfc related photos π

As of the time of writing the administrators have get to appoint a successful bid to purchase the club but what worries me the most is the lack of time left to build a decent squad for next season. Realistically most half decent players will have already signed for a club and not be just sat around waiting for our manager to give them a call. Some will say it's a good thing that the majority of last seasons players have left but not having at least 2 players fighting for positions means the starting 11 may still be in the team after a few games. Yes a team that plays regular can bond together we all know that, that said, what happens when players get injured without cover? Playing the kids is an option yet Parkinson has been reluctant to field more than 2-3 at a time. The last count there are 8-9 contracted players which leaves a lot of work for the new owners and manager (if still Parkinson) to fill the void. I for one am very worried what the next season in League One has to hold.
