  1. Harvey leaves. http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/9830789.Up_to_17_staff_may_go_at_Reebok_Stadium_in_cost_cutting_measures/? Cliff Roberts came from Burnley and was described as head of recruitment. So that and chief scout were two different jobs it seems.
  2. Chief scout was Colin Harvey, up until the start of this season. Appointed by Gary Megson.
  3. Seems a reasonable view to me. But not one you're allowed on here without being accused of being in the bed sheet brigade.
  4. It was accurate the first time. It's accurate now. I notice you still haven't condemned the big companies for fucking this country up the arse. You're an ordinary little man with an ordinary little job. Why do you pretend to be important?
  5. Anything to distract attention from the point. The multinationals and other big companies are fucking this country up the arse, and the majority on here approve of that.
  6. Andrew Neil Quentin Letts George Osborne I did consider Margaret Thatcher but she's nearly dead anyway.
  7. Really? Most on here would rather buy from the big companies who don't pay tax.
  8. If that was the case Starbucks wouldn't be negotiating with the taxman. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/banksandfinance/9716155/Starbucks-opens-negotiations-with-HMRC-to-start-paying-more-UK-tax.html
  9. So you won't be condemning anyone who's claiming shit loads in benefits then? After all, it's legal.

    Ngog

Eaves is playing at his level now. Hopefully we'll make a few quid profit when we flog him. We won't be making any profit on N'Gog.
  11. What that article and many others like it doesn't mention is that many of the lowest paid public sector jobs have been shipped out to the private sector. That skews the figures. For an example, look no further than the old Norweb building on Manchester Road which has 1200 workers doing jobs that used to be done by civil servants. Almost all of them get less than £15,000 a year. The company that runs that gaff is Serco, who are gradually taking over the country. Don't bother complaining about the shit customer service though. Commercial confidentiality will ensure that you're told precisely fuck all.
  12. Daft to dismiss the idea of a conference. A good idea or two might have surfaced. But Walsh, who's as big a dipstick as Cliff Morris is looking for a short term fix which won't succeed. The town needs jobs. Proper paying ones, not those in 'entertainment' which pay fuck all. I don't see anyone in local politics seeking a way to make that happen.
  13. McFlurries don't do them much good either. Hedgehogs are lactose intolerant. Milk products make them ill.
  14. There was a directive a few years ago. Foul and abusive language toward the referee was supposed to be a straight red. I can only think of two players who it happened to. El Hadji Diouf and James McFadden when he was playing for Everton.
  15. This is how to wear a tie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re5J_GAGFuY
  16. Too right. Criteo seem to be involved in a lot of this stuff. You visit a website to look for a product and then ads for it appear on every other website you visit. I wonder if its counter productive. By the time I've seen the same thing 20 times I'm sick of the sight of it.
  17. It strikes me that plod have very little to go on. April was reported getting into a light coloured van. The car recovered is a dark(ish) Land Rover. Given that, I'd also have doubts about the last time she was reported to have been seen, which as already pointed out is a bit late for a five year old to be out.
  18. Do you reckon they'd get the colour wrong too? It was described as light coloured.
  19. They've released his picture now. One of his car (range rover) too. I thought she was spotted getting into a van. Doesn't look good, nor does it look as if the Police are making much progress. Edit: forgot to add the link. http://news.sky.com/story/992497/april-jones-police-release-photo-of-suspect
  20. Fife's alright. Worked up there a few years ago and the people are the salt of the earth.
  21. One chap in the Howcroft (might have been the infamous Vinny) used to have a snake bite made of Guinesss Triple-X (no longer available, sadly) with triple vintage cider (which is more like sherry.) I wouldn't have fancied his hangover.
  22. Utter wanker RIH No, it's not a typo.
  23. Difficult. Wiggins has done something that no other Brit has ever done, but then so has Mo Farah.
  24. It was the stabbing game. Happened right in front of me. Only time I've been to that ground.
