  1. Think I have entered a alternate Universe with Fester querying running trainers!!! Good on ya mate, might even motivate me to get my arse in gear too!
  2. We were provided with big insulated suits and boots & possibly gloves?, all looked like Big Chris off Roary! So the only thing we bought in advance were some decent thermals and socks from Decathlon but we did get the kids some snow boots in advance just in case the ones at the resort were poor. Hats, Gloves, Fleeces and Scarves we had anyway and we were fine with this kit list. Temp was anything from -13 to -20 during our visit but as it is so dry with little wind it doesn't really feel that cold to be honest, and we had no trouble at all. Plus they have lots of shelters and hot drink stops to keep you warmed up. However, apparently the week before it had gone below -35 and lots of activities had to be curtailed as kids were just too cold, I think this was the exception rather than the rule though and it wouldn't matter what clothing you took if its that cold as you won't be going out much!! Hope this helps, happy new year....
  3. RW1, I remember going through this a couple of years ago but if you are going for a few days I highly recommend a resort called Hetta which is in the far North of Finnish lapland. It is really quiet and not commercialised at all which is what we were after, still had all activities obviously, but town was quiet and we went to really nice carol service in local church. It also has a local airport, Enontekia, so transfers were short which is a bonus with little kids. I can't actually remember which company we went with but all the activities were done by a third party firm anyway? Good luck
  4. Paul Comstive!! Remember asking Burnley fans at school about him and they being gutted he was leaving as they seriously rated him. Ummmm.....
  5. Will someone explain how Snicko works in DRS, Root was given out with no Snicko or hot spot as this was not deemed sufficient evidence to overturn the on-field decision, yet today apparently it is and Bell was sent packing, yet again with out any hotspot but just Snicko, so how was this judged to be conclusive in overturning the on-field decision!!! Umpires are shite as usual!!
  6. No don't, for those there it really does not need bringing up ever again! It was like the Texas Chainsaw massacre set in the Maze!!
  7. You're right Bolty it is grim here at the moment and bloody hot, only arrived Friday night and could see Aussies win the Ashes tomorrow!! Bunch of fuck!n idiots... More importantly how do I watch the Whites while I am down here, PM me if you got any decent links... cheers
  8. I am not too bothered about the defence; but we lack creativity big time, until this is sorted we will always struggle to kill of games...
  9. Just checked league tables for last 11 years and the 6th place team has ended up on 73-75 pts most years, only twice did a team finish on 70 points in a play-off spot. So from those stats we do need a result in Cardiff to get us to 70 minimum!!
  10. Finished 2-1 Get in!!!, Palace, Leicester, Forest all drawing back i play-offs as it stands Brighton 6-1 up! Watford 4-0 win againt Rovers!!!
  11. Bit harsh only trying to keep people updated!!
  12. B'stard rovers now 3 points better than us with game in hand if it stays the same, can't help looking at them in total chaos to realise how sh!t we are and how far we have fallen to be no better than that joke of a club. Gartside has lot to answer for.
  13. Against Charlton playing 451 bizarely we did not have any width at all, Eagles & CYL were really tucked in and we were narrow, then on Boxing Day he plays 4 across the middle with out and out wingers?? Would prefer 451 but need width when we have the ball to stretch teams, no doubt he will drop Petrov but I would leave him in as he would have less to do defensively in a 5. Also think Spearing and Andrews are poor, could Pratley have a run in one of their spots??
  14. The thing that really peed me off yesterday was the formation. (as well as the lack of application, talent and couldn't give a shit attitude!!) After the most god awful 70 minutes against Charlton playing 4-5-1, only saved by NGog's brilliance, I get in the car and here DF giving it the big one on GMR about educating the fans on his style of play and what a wonderful performance. I though he must have been to a differant game to me but gave him the benefit of the doubt as he is a football manager!!! So yesterday we play 4-4-2!!, playing Eagles and Petrov against the biggest full-backs in the league who scared em to death and we played just as sh!t. So which is it Dougie, 12 games in and you haven't a clue, but lying to fans already is a slippery slope...
  15. CSW I do not disagree with much of what you say, but the parallels with us and Blackburn with regards to sliding down the leagues is uncanny. However, Rovers being so shit just highlights the fact how much we have under acheived, over the last two years we have not performed any better than them is ridiculous given we have been relatively stable whilst they have Mickey Mouse owners and have been in utter turmoil for most of this time. So on the one hand you have chicken farmers from India and on the other a Chairman who is a Wanderer, on the FA board and is meant to have business acumen. Therefore in my mind Gartside has presided over the rapid decline of our club and has not got a clue, so in relative terms is actually worse than the idiots up the road, not to mention leaving us massively in debt! So why we are not a laughing stock is beyond me because we are an embarrasment. Gartside needs to leave ASAP and take his average manager with him. I would love nothing more than to be eating humble pie in the next 18-24 months, but really do not see it with the club in the state it is in but here's hoping....
  16. Same points as us having played a game less, so what does that make us?
  17. Yes, the fullbacks are a bit dodgy, yes Petrov doesn't track back, yes Davies is on the wane, but we have previously got results with these players. But you all seem to be skirting around the problem, the central midfielders, they are absolutely shocking. I would love to know the stats but the central midfielders cannot possibly be covering as much ground as those when BSA and Megson were at the club. Even with 3, the space offered to Chelsea was unbelievable for a Premiership team, and I think this has been the case is most of the matches. NRC is lazy, for Fat Frank to amble past him twice is embarrassing, and what are Pratley's strengths?? Plus if you are going with 5 in midfield, Mavies should surely be the creative one on point??? And then we move on to OC's other weakness, he bought them so will play them come hell or high water, how Muamba did not get on the pitch is just unfathomable as far as I am concerned. OC's stock is dropping fast. What really worries me is when we are bad he skulks back to the dugout and does nowt, stand in the technical area, scream at the players and front it out.
  18. Thats great lets hope it all goes well from here on in. But after the FA cup and the last dozen games, do you really think this average management team and squad are ever going to achieve anything, they cannot handle the pressure.
  19. With the best will in the world to a fellow Wanderer, fuck off!!
