Sooooooo not the greatest nation on earth then?

    make your mind up

some of us are prepared to stick it out, because some things are worth fighting for.

it’s a good job Our Boys didn’t all desert in 1942 when Hitler had the upper hand.

    🇬🇧

It’s fortunate that we have a group of people who will stick by our country and show patriotism and a bit of British backbone rather than act like snowflake woke bedwetters and run off to Australia / SE Asia / Costa Blanca at the drop of a hat. We need to stick by king and country. GSTK.

Brainwashed. Did you see the shit given to two Israeli heroes by a Border Force leftie at Manc airport?

They saved lives at the rock festival Hamas attacked on October 7th. Given the third degree at Manc airport with comments like "What are you doing here? We don't want you doing here what you are doing in Gaza".

Instant sacking for my money. Probably won't even get a slap on the wrist. Probably 'union policy'.

    Sunak’s border force.

And the Tories will just say those are excuses. Can't win.

I, like many, would just like MPs who are committed to being public servants and a government that aims to work for the country rather than stoking up problems to stay in power without an actual thought to where this leaves the country.

Oh and a party that is not always trying to manage itself and the country bearing the brunt of their psychodrama.

I watched the Boris documentary the other day. They mentioned on it that David Cameron openly admitted he chose 2016 for the Brexit vote because he thought it was the optimum time to minimise the impact on his legacy as PM.

Apart from the fact the result had the exact opposite effect, it shows that MPs will use something that massive simply as a chess piece for personal gain.

Same with tax cuts in an election year, or Sadiq Khan finding money to freeze tube fares in the year of a mayoral vote. They don’t care as much about people’s finances two years before an election, but suddenly when it’s round the corner they will make large policy shifts for personal gain.

😂 What is the international break doing to me? I’ll be subscribing to Thogden’s YouTube channel by Thursday…

I think seeing this season, when the demands been there they do release those stairwell seats, not sure if they have done that already but I guess so if they've resorted to opening the SSL.

Think finally for a community day, the away team is bringing a good following, heard reading have sold a good amount of the top tier, 1.5/2k probably on the day.

Absent season ticket holders aside, another week of sales to go and hopefully a positive result Friday, could be looking at the remaining SSL blocks being opened and sold.

Could be seeing potentially a completely full Toughsheet in all corners for the first time in a long time.

There will obviously be some that are away on Easter hols and will still be counted in the attendance.

Either way I think this will be our biggest attendance of the season, 25,000+

Sold 22,000 so far. Cant see another 3,000+ shifting for this.

Reading sold 1,000, so probably less than 1,500 away even with POTD.

  6. It’s easy to say this about every fixture coming up, but I genuinely think this Friday is make or break in setting the tone for top 2 battle.

The Derby result has put us back in the mix and we simply have to take the opportunity. Us, Posh and Barnsley will be looking at the international break as a  chance to reset and we need to come out firing.

Posh and Barnsley have home games that look easy on paper, so we need to keep that gap.

Derby don’t have the easiest of games with their injuries and if they don’t get 3 points, control of the top 2 spots would slip out of their hands - potentially to 3 teams.

If we can get 3 points it’s a massive momentum shift and I’d really fancy our chances of a top 2 spot. But short of that I’d be resigned to the play offs.

Still need Derby to drop more points though. Home v Blackpool and away at Pompey are probably the best chances of that happening. And then we have to win all our remaining games including beating Posh at their place - and hope they drop points elsewhere or it could be a GD job - but there are no obvious contenders in their remaining fixtures.

If we win all our games, it doesn’t come down to GD with Posh, as they’d drop 3 points against us. Barnsley could in theory come down to GD if they will all theirs.

But one thing I’m sure of - neither we nor Barnsley will win all of our remaining games.

Anyone seen this with the Irish band playing a gig in Zurich on Paddy's day, started playing Murder on the dance floor.

Sophie Ellis Bextor was in the pub and got on the stage to sing it.

My mate is guitarist for them. Made plenty of Irish press

I struggle with this line of thinking. We've won one out of six against the four other best teams in the division this year. Last year we won one out of eight against the top four. The year before it was zero out of eight.

Three seasons. 22 games against the best sides. Two wins, both of which saw the opposition receive a red card in the first half.

I appreciate that teams in the Championship might play a different style to the top teams in L1, but equally we're not going to find Cambridge or Cheltenham up there either. Championship sides will be just as physical as Derby/Barnsley etc. but far better technically too.

You just need to look at our away record this season against the better teams to see where our problems lie. Taking the best “other” 10 teams in this league ie 1st (Pompey) to 11th (Wigan). The records of the top 3 are:

    Pompey - P8, W4, D4, L0. Points: 16

    Derby - P9, W5, D1, L3. Points: 16

    Bolton - P8, W1, D2, L5. Points: 5

    That’s just not good enough.

Our home record helps claw back some points, but not nearly enough.

You’re persistent, I’ll give you that. Unfortunately, you are also just making stuff up.

[Apologies for picture quality - iPhone wanker]. Circled red - the goal scorer, who makes a run from an unmarked position at the penalty spot.

Circled blue, Maghoma, who remained next to the guy he was actually marking (who didn’t score). But let’s blame Maghoma anyway.

Let’s discuss, Do we need new wing backs ?

And I said I’d follow up about our record here.

It’s surely our time, this time? Just like we said twice this season against Blackpool… 😂
