  1. It’s fortunate that we have a group of people who will stick by our country and show patriotism and a bit of British backbone rather than act like snowflake woke bedwetters and run off to Australia / SE Asia / Costa Blanca at the drop of a hat. We need to stick by king and country. GSTK.

    Good Omens

Unless it’s us against Wigan or Blackpool 🙃

    Injuries

That’s the face of man who just lost £5k on the 2.30 at Wincanton.
  4. I watched the Boris documentary the other day. They mentioned on it that David Cameron openly admitted he chose 2016 for the Brexit vote because he thought it was the optimum time to minimise the impact on his legacy as PM. Apart from the fact the result had the exact opposite effect, it shows that MPs will use something that massive simply as a chess piece for personal gain. Same with tax cuts in an election year, or Sadiq Khan finding money to freeze tube fares in the year of a mayoral vote. They don’t care as much about people’s finances two years before an election, but suddenly when it’s round the corner they will make large policy shifts for personal gain.
  5. 😂 What is the international break doing to me? I’ll be subscribing to Thogden’s YouTube channel by Thursday…
  6. Sold 22,000 so far. Cant see another 3,000+ shifting for this. Reading sold 1,000, so probably less than 1,500 away even with POTD.
  7. It’s easy to say this about every fixture coming up, but I genuinely think this Friday is make or break in setting the tone for top 2 battle. The Derby result has put us back in the mix and we simply have to take the opportunity. Us, Posh and Barnsley will be looking at the international break as a chance to reset and we need to come out firing. Posh and Barnsley have home games that look easy on paper, so we need to keep that gap. Derby don’t have the easiest of games with their injuries and if they don’t get 3 points, control of the top 2 spots would slip out of their hands - potentially to 3 teams. If we can get 3 points it’s a massive momentum shift and I’d really fancy our chances of a top 2 spot. But short of that I’d be resigned to the play offs.
  8. Says Jones is Welsh, can’t believe a word they say… 😬
  9. Reminds me a bit of Coleman against Blackpool. Or Coleman against Exeter. 💣
  10. The trolley adds that bit of class. 🛒
  11. Just catching up on the Last Leg from last night. They were doing a piece on this and ran through a few examples where football fans has disrespected the flag. Look what cropped up…
  12. If we win all our games, it doesn’t come down to GD with Posh, as they’d drop 3 points against us. Barnsley could in theory come down to GD if they will all theirs. But one thing I’m sure of - neither we nor Barnsley will win all of our remaining games.
  13. First half? So wind with them second half?
  14. That’s going to be a conflicted wank for Bolty.
  15. It’s a good job Iredale isn’t able to get into the Australia squad!
  16. You just need to look at our away record this season against the better teams to see where our problems lie. Taking the best “other” 10 teams in this league ie 1st (Pompey) to 11th (Wigan). The records of the top 3 are: Pompey - P8, W4, D4, L0. Points: 16 Derby - P9, W5, D1, L3. Points: 16 Bolton - P8, W1, D2, L5. Points: 5 That’s just not good enough. Our home record helps claw back some points, but not nearly enough.
  17. You’re persistent, I’ll give you that. Unfortunately, you are also just making stuff up. [Apologies for picture quality - iPhone wanker]. Circled red - the goal scorer, who makes a run from an unmarked position at the penalty spot. Circled blue, Maghoma, who remained next to the guy he was actually marking (who didn’t score). But let’s blame Maghoma anyway.
  18. Worth keeping an eye on the Facebook groups. A few have come on today, including 2 more about 5 mins ago.

    Charlton (H)

    Kiss of death…?
  20. And I said I’d follow up about our record here. It’s surely our time, this time? Just like we said twice this season against Blackpool… 😂
  21. Population size of course. That’s a real measure of a football team. The rest is window dressing.
