  1. Correct, plus you are playing it to a player who collects the ball with his back to play - so he has no idea who is behind him.
  2. It’s not though. Our players pull out wide (looking for a pass) leaving the middle free for Thomason to play it back to the keeper if he needs to. If you tackle Thomason there will be no central defence to cover.
  3. It’s not luck though. It’s because other teams don’t invite pressure on themselves. Look at our goal kicks - we know they are pressing so that Coleman is going to have to play it long, yet we still play it short and then pass it back to Coleman under pressure.
  4. Them pension pots come in handy… If you’re married, does that mean you need 2 million quid to be a millionaire? I’m not suggesting you’re married to @captainmed 😘
  5. In one one post you go from having to beat Barnsley, Derby, Posh (Pompey?) and Stevenage (no slip ups) to maybe accepting a couple of draw to then losing one… 😂
  6. As you’ve quoted me twice, I’ll post twice 😁 I’ve lost count of the number of must wins this season that we haven’t won. The number of times “teams that get promoted win these games” etc. Yet here we are - top 2 firmly within reach. I’m not looking back at games we’ve lost. I’m looking forward to the ones we have left.
  7. Indeed, it’s a great chance to take points off our rivals. But we won’t win them all and they will be thinking the same about taking points off us. I think Barnsley is the toughest of those and that’s why I’d be happy with a point tomorrow. To be clear, I wouldn’t be happy if we only got 4 draws from the above 4 games.
  8. Interesting how you pull up people if they use the word “racist”, yet you happily throw around the antisemite reference. More Bolty bullshit.

  10. A point is a good result here against an in form team. Steady the ship and be ready to go toe to toe for the last 11 games. I fancy us more against Derby and Pompey than I do against these lot.
  11. Is it too late for Evatt to be coached and improved to find an effective plan B?
  12. I’ll get 18% on my wanderers bonds when we get promoted… 🙃
  13. Sell and pump into ODX. Miami says they’re about to turn a corner.
  14. His anger will be tempered by the fact the choice was between Broad and a female pundit.
  15. “Maybe”2 wins - that’s just a bit silly. I can see us winning our home games against Cambridge, Shrewsbury, Reading and Vale. Also expect at least a draw against Oxford at home. Hopefully win one of Exeter or Bristol. I see us finishing 4th.
  16. There is, but whether it’s celebrations or goading, it doesn’t change the point in my post. It’s shows how much they are up for it. Plus, by doing that, they’re getting inside our players’ heads. Ahead of the next game, our lot remember it. Plus, let’s be honest, Thomason, Morley* and Dion often celebrate in front of opposition fans, cupping ears and goading them. *not that he scores often
  17. No excuse for cheering an injury like that. Not sure I agree with the celebration point though. They just won their cup final against their biggest rivals, so it’s no real surprise they’re milking it. I hate to say it, but I wish our players had that mentality. Maybe it needs something like that for our players to realise what it means to Wigan (and what it should mean to us). Their players are so much more up for these game it’s unbelievable. That said, we didn’t lose today because we’re not up for it. We lost because we can’t take our chances and can’t find the cutting edge.
  18. Plenty have said it. Barnsley will finish ahead of us. Win their game in hand and they are above us. Beat us at their place as well and it’s 3 points ahead plus better goal difference.
  19. At the end of the day, it’s nothing to do with not having the bottle, crumbling under pressure of derbies etc. We’ve had chances and didn’t take them. They’ve had a chance and taken it. Same at Blackpool. Same in lots of our poor results this season. Goals win games, not passing it around the edge of the box.
  20. In your back garden you’re more likely to uncover the bodies @Sweep has buried there.
  21. Perhaps. But there was no way Santos would duck out of the challenge.
  22. Probably helps explain the red card. In the Prem, it’s a yellow card for a fowl which gets mud on the opponent’s £3,000 boots.
