Sorry, misread what i meant, I mentioned that there was no racism as there was nobody to be racist to, the migration hadnt happened by then, but things were a lot worse. We needed the migrants and invited them over, in turn allowed things like kids getting an education and women rightly so, being able to go to work. One of the highlights of his youth he mentions is being given a pear, which was an absolute luxury, but some people look back on these times with the pre mentioned rose tinted.

Just re-read "My pal Spodger", having read it as a kid, based in Bolton in the 1920's. These people long for these times but reading the book as an adult, shows how bad things really were and people didn't know any better. Renewal time.. Good grief, Policy gone up to 2400 a year!! Rang them and after 2.5 hours on hold (kept getting cut off), they have it down to 1700 for both cars. Can change to Esure and it will come down to 1150 for both cars, but that includes a huge payment upfront.. Still 50 a month cheaper. Absolute farce atm! They even had the cheek to say "If you can get a cheaper quote, ring us and we'll try to beat it".

Bit gutting really, Sithole has played in league 1? granted not many games but surely it's worth benching them and using them if needed. Sonny Sharples looked to have potential when he played earlier this year (although I'm a bit biased as i used to teach him)

Can't have a captain on 18 yellows. How do you change club captain when your near top of the league. Maybe a summer transfer has to be one of those types, toals got potential, iredale has the drive, but they're all lacking.
