When you hear the mess the club was in when he arrived what the club has achieved in the past 8 years is even more amazing.
No official comment, big new investor possibly at City, comments by "friends" to the media it looks to me like he is on his way. I have this nagging vision of Leicester City; look what's happened to them since O'Neill left
Having said that this season hasn't been much fun has it? Two great matches with Arsenal at home, the annual mauling of West Ham at the Reebok and those last couple of minutes at Blackburn but apart from that it has been pretty flat.
With the younger profile of the signings made so far for next season I was looking forward to Big Sam building a new team, but maybe, with the board making the right appointment, this could be a step forward for the club.
