  4. Blackburn Rovers defender Stephen Warnock has handed in a transfer request at Ewood Park. Earlier in the summer the full-back said that he was happy at Rovers following the appointment of new manager Paul Ince. However, Warnock - who signed a contract extension which tied him to Blackburn until 2012 in May - has now signalled his desire to quit the one-time Premier League champions. The news will come as a blow to Ince, who recently announced that there would be no more departures following the sales of David Bentley and Brad Friedel. Everton and Newcastle have been linked with Warnock and in July Blackburn chairman John Williams confirmed he had turned down a ?2million bid from an unnamed club. The 26-year-old began his career at Liverpool before Blackburn paid ?1.5million for his services in January 2007. Warnock has also made one appearance for England after being selected for the friendly victory over Trinidad and Tobago in May. Good Left back IMO, the more I hear from Blackburn I more I think of Sammy Lee's time here, roll on the start of the season.
  5. A LANDLORD was tied up and attacked with a metal bar during a terrifying robbery at his pub. Two masked men broke into the Sharman Arms in Halliwell Road, Halliwell, and went into the bedroom of pub boss, Wayne Ellison. The 38-year-old woke up and saw the raiders, who were armed with metal bars, standing by his bed. They demanded the keys to the safe before attacking him. Det Sgt Martin Bell said: ?This was a vicious attack on a man who was asleep in bed. ?The victim was fortunately not badly injured, but he did suffer some cuts and bruises. It is important that we catch the offenders and we would appeal with anyone information to contact us.? The incident happened at around 5.30am on Sunday. The masked men broke into the pub through a ground floor toilet window before making their way upstairs. Once in Mr Ellison?s bedroom, they tied his wrists together then hit him on the back with the metal bars. They then stole his mobile phone and cash from his wallet, before smashing a fruit machine in the bar and taking money from it. The men fled through the fire escape at the back of the pub and the victim called the police at 6.20am. He was shaken but did not require hospital treatment. There was no-one else in the pub at the time. The pub was cordoned off and a police officer called in to guard it on Sunday as an inquiry was launched.

The game was called off after a failure in the undersoil heating at the Reebok Stadium which left the pitch frozen. A Bolton spokesman said: "The undersoil heating system has failed to work in the central areas of the pitch. Think Sam rested afew at Sunderland on Boxing day for this game then was called off. 10. JJ live's in Bromley Cross. JAY Jay Okocha has been banned from driving for 30 days after being caught speeding on a motorway in his Ferrari, was clocked at 116 mph as he travelled south on the M6 toll road in April. He was on his way from Bolton to attend his godson?s first communion in London when mobile patrol officers stopped him for speeding. The striker even took time out to sign autographs for one of the traffic police officers who booked him. North Staffordshire Magistrates Court heard yesterday how Okocha was clocked at 116.3mph in his black Ferrari on the toll road near Birmingham. He stopped immediately and told the officers: "I did not think I was going that fast, I?m sorry." Okocha, of Shady Lane, Bolton, appeared in court in a black suit, white shirt and grey tie. He was charged under his real name, Augustine Azuka Okocha, and pleaded guilty. As for Arcon its really nice, alot of money for not alot of property but is like its own little village.

  13. http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/display...._footballer.php Driving ban on speeding Chorley footballer Traffic police hit speeds of 95mph as they pursued a speeding a Chorley footballer, a court heard. Ricardo Vaz Te, who plays for Bolton Wanderers, was driving his powerful Volkswagen Touareg 4x4 when he was pulled over by officers. They had spotted him driving along Chorley New Road in Bolton at midnight on February 9 this year - just hours after Wanderers had slumped to a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Portsmouth.Vaz Te was disqualified from driving for 60 days after he admitted speeding at Bolton Magistrates Court. The 22-year-old Portuguese striker also fined ?600. Nick Ross, who represented Vaz Te at the hearing, said: "He disputed driving at 95mph. The road was clear and it was quiet and he believed that he was driving no more than 75 or 80mph. "He was very surprised to be told by police that 95mph had been recorded over a very short distance." The court heard that Vaz Te was "extremely ashamed" he had brought shame upon his family and football club. "He felt a considerable weight of guilt at bringing the good name of his family and football club into disrepute," said Mr Ross. Vaz Te's antics were blasted last night by Roy Sammons, chairman of Bolton Advanced Motorists. He said: "That is the worst of the worst. It's so far over the top that you have to say it was by design. He is a role model and thoroughly deserved his fine and his ban. I only hope he learns from it." Vaz Te came to the Reebok from Portuguese side Farense in 2003. He was loaned out for one month last season to Coca Cola Championship outfit Hull after he was unable to force his way into the Wanderers starting line up. Upon his return he managed five appearances as a substitute and one start for the Whites during an injury-plagued season.

  16. http://www.thisisbolton.co.uk/display.var.1962043.0..php FRENCH defender Gerald Cid has left the Reebok Stadium by mutual consent. The former Istres man has made 12 starts for the Whites this season after arriving in the summer. But he failed to make an impact with Bolton fans, playing his final match for the club in the 1-0 defeat against Sheffield United in the FA Cup last week. He is tipped to return to France and join Nice next week.

    Just A Thought

I don't know what i find more funny. 1) The fact that from 3 line you can judge if not genuine supporter (Where do I sign to be a member?) 2) You can hate someone for saying trying to kick off with fellow fans/women over nothing is wrong. 3) And above prices and the atmosphere and where it is Reebok is based, my opion is turning supporters away in droves. I don't know you so couldn't and wouldn't comment on you as a person. Jog on.
