Reet, we used https://www.icerentalcars.is/
They picked us up from the airport, their offices were about a mile away. The mrs booked through booking.com, and got a good deal.

I'll try and find the company my mrs booked with. They were reasonable and not too far from the airport.

Seems to be a toss up between golden circle tour or south coast tour.
Or do one day and one other but both are pretty long trips....
Anyone done both?
Yep, did both back in November on a 4/5 day trip. The highlight of the South Coast is the iceberg lagoon but it was about 5 hours drive from Reykjavik with stops at a couple of waterfalls. Hired a car the time we were there, got a speeding ticket, best part of £250 fine. Golden Circle can easily be done in a day.

Think the most I've paid for a ticket for a league game was £48 for Chelsea away last game of the 07/08 season.
Absolute rip off in all fairness.
For some reason I had two tickets and gave one to @victor meldrew who said he'd sell onto a tout and get my money back outside the ground - big mistake. Meldrew said he couldn't get more than £30 for it. The bloke I sat next to was from the Ukraine who said he'd spent hundreds on it.

It has many problems, but just to say I live in an extremely nice village nearby.
Brymbo by any chance? My mate moved down there 18 months ago, bought a very nice house with (comparatively) very little money.

It is good, but to think that Burnden Park is remembered in general for the Normid monstrosity is a travesty.

So that's the reason why Undies is so good (his words) at 'Name the Ground'

They sell Lagunitas in cans in Spoons. It was a few months ago admittedly but iirc it was around a fiver for 2 cans.

New knowledge. I was looking to see if we ever played St Mirren on some site which does head-to-head game results. I started searching for Bolton and Bolton Olympic came up. I was intrigued so took a peek.
I remember playing St Mirren in the Anglo Scottish Cup in the 70s, had to look it up to confirm we lost 5-4 over 2 legs in the quarter final in 79/80 season

We should suggest a ground share with the rugby lot. Extra income for us whilst offering assistance in ending the other fuck wits. Happy to help.
If memory serves, I think that was mooted in the early planning stages for the Reebok.

What does avftt stand for ?
And according to another site we are apparently a derby for this lot and they can't wait for us. I ain't been to bpool for donkeys(pun intended) but does the welcome back Bolton still exist ?
A view from the tower, I think

Remember seeing Vernon Kay at Fulham at a midweek game in the middle of us lot. Everyone was singing “we going round to Vernon’s for a brew” who was there?
Me, it was a midweek game and I think we also played Charlton on the Saturday, so stayed down. Don't remember seeing him there though.

I remember it because I was watching the World of Sport and Dickie Davies announced it on live TV that there'd been a fatality at the game. Very sad.

I’ll tell you what, Euston to the match and back, and standing up all day too, there’s some steps involved.
I felt like I’d tried to mark Dion Charles when I got on the train. My knees were fucked when I got home. Fogerty junior had to help me out of the car when she picked me up from ManPicc.
That might have been the Neck Oil though.
Right as rain this morning mind.
Just watched a re-run of the game on Sky, when Santos climbs the steps to collect the trophy he clearly says to someone under the stand - how many more steps? They point upwards, his reply - 'farkin hell'

Anyone see or hear this abuse that Evatt said crossed the line at HT Saturday? I was on half way line but didn't hear anything other than what you'd expect after that kind of first-half.
I did see and hear someone get a laugh out of Dapo for shouting "are you shagging the manager's missus?" at him as he was warming up though 😃
Yes, I was stood near the corner flag as they came off, someone shouted out behind me, words to the effect that it wasn't good enough, Evatt looked over, gave daggers in the general direction, put his finger to his lips and mouthed 'be positive.' To call it abuse was/is ott.
