  1. Humans adapt to their environment, part of the evolutionary build, so you are correct. not just heat and cold, people in the Himalayas for example, have better oxygen retention capacity so they can live comfortably at higher altitudes and we’d struggle to walk up hill there, ling capacity is also higher in communities that depend on free diving for fish in remote islands etc * *courtesy of the national geographic magazine I’ve coincidentally just been reading in the dentist
  2. It is the responsibility of a prosecutor to convince a jury that he was there . he was found guilty by a jury as a culmination of “evidence “ presented before them .
  3. He was on the today program this morning. explained how it came about, GMP destroying evidence after they realised they made a fuck up, witnesses known criminals and drug addicts who would have ulterior motives etc was interesting and frightening at the same time. it’s probably available on I player , radio 4, this morning about 8:10
  4. Heard him on the radio this morning explaining that. Incredibly he’ll have to pay the prison service for his stay as basically he wasn’t entitled to be there as he was innocent!
  5. Two I recall off the top of my head, one was a newspaper delivery van driver who’s van was leaking and another was some guy who was having trouble with fly tipping/ dumping on his lane and he pretended to be the dumper . both nearly exploded with rage edit: this one
  6. Used to love Steve Penks wind up calls on key 103 back in the day. football on GMR as mentioned above and also WOW on Sunday mornings with Jimmy Wag and Eamon O’Neil was a good listen.
  7. I know it’s not uncommon in the sense I’m not the only ones with them , but it was uncommon to be able to grow grapes in the NW at one time? isn’t that why we done have a wine tradition in general? but it’s coming more and more common and a sign of warmer climate in general? by the way, advice is to thin the fruit to make sure enough goes into the few bunches you leave, reluctant to do it as they all look plump, would you advise that ? Ie just leave two on? first year of fruit
  8. Currently have a grape vine in my garden producing bunches and bunches of grapes. Grapes. Outside , no greenhouse . I live in Breightmet. Somethings changed !
  9. Employment law suspend an employee while any investigation involving them is underway common practice
  10. I booked parking via Ryan air when going to Ireland £60 Mon -Thursday and £120 for a hire car for the 3 days at Dublin . that was in Jan and April this year thought that was pretty reasonable and great to just walk straight to the car when my return flight came in at midnight.
  11. Aye he’s a good lad for that and all thing auto electrical. glad you got sorted 👍
  12. Fair enough. out of interest again, if all that is correct , then why does a re charge make it work better? I have been told that refrigerant changes properties over time due to porous seals , natural contamination and natural loss, it made sense to me but your experience and explanation says that’s shit , so what makes it work better when it’s changed ?
  13. Out of interest, why do you say this? Are you comparing to refrigerator units / home air conditioning that don’t need it ? genune question , as it’s obvious car air con do need re charging periodically, there’s a whole business doing it .
  14. http://aaaautoelectrics.co.uk/ try Markus , usually busy but he does it
  15. Watched it and couldn’t help but think of the rage there’d be from some on here if it contained and audience full of remainers . The fact no government rep was available to espouse what’s going well with Brexit , in a room full of people who voted for Brexit , tells its own story about Brexit . “ we haven’t “Brexited” yet was the only defence of why it is shit .
  16. Boothtown is a great set up, or at least it seems to be every time I’ve been there.
  17. I think it disappeared due to the website crashing , was a major downtime once when everyone went on other forums for a bit .I do remember it being called “ in or out “ . When it came back on line lots of threads had disappeared, someone started an “ in or out again “ thread . Think that was merged with another , (or even a few as there was loads that developed into the same arguments ) and re named to the lovely sensible debating medium we know as politics . I remember it did get closed while people calmed down once . It used to have a tag of “ not interested don’t look “ that’s how I recall it anyway , But maybe the original in or out got shut down and someone started in or out again possibly.
  18. Aye, I have a mate living in Stockholm the last 10 years, he says you think you’d be annoyed paying high taxes , but when everything works and you get good services for it, it’s less of an issue and not a priority
  19. My lad is into a brand that has a “ Y” on it that looks like a 4 . ( much to his annoyance I can’t see anything other than a 4 tbh ) no idea if it’s big or not or even if it’s one of the above , but that’s another Bolton lad, seems there’s a talent for fashion design in the area
  20. After a gruelling 2 hour car chase it seems the paparazzi finally managed to lose Harry and Megan
  21. Didn’t they have to give warnings about not shooting the tornadoes too once upon a time?

Not me, I just do work for the highways agency amongst others when they want it that cross over is terrible , someone going to lose a tyre there if they hit that right . there are inspection works tonight in that area but they are on the southbound side , probably as they don’t need to inspect the other side as they know it’s fucked. Report it on this https://report.nationalhighways.co.uk
  25. Climate change was actually thought to be slowing the winds down , they slowed until 2010 and was a phenomenon known as “global stilling “have picked up since, also caused by temperature changes but yes there definitely been increase in wind speeds , which is good for wind farms, for now . this a good site for weather stats https://www.statista.com/statistics/322789/quarterly-wind-speed-average-in-the-united-kingdom-uk/#:~:text=Quarterly average wind speed in the United Kingdom 2010-2022&text=Wind speed averages in the,of 2020%2C at 11.5 knots.
