An interesting take on things I heard: Iran needed to make a show as their proxies have taken a bit of a battering. A show of strength and who's in charge. Perhaps going for Iran directly wouldn’t be the best move, but to go for the supplies to the proxies. He's certainly had some injury difficulties- repetition of groin trouble for example. Similar to Dempsey for us perhaps and not quite been there for me, compared to last season, but I saw him recently and he was actually beating his man on the outside and putting the cross in straight away, rather then coming back onto his right foot all the time. Far more threatening having the ability and willingness to go both ways.

He wasn't getting ahead of Haaland, though I reckon he's as decent as Alvarez, if slightly different in style. Fair play to him for looking for more game time.

Reckon he's a bit more of a natural "striker" than Grealish, Saka, and Foden, though obviously Foden has scored plenty this season too. Good options to have anyway.
