  1. The Gateshead story involves the local council too, as they are the landlords (or whatever you call it). https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/sport/football/68869062.amp
  2. Absolutely. Fans can't be happy surely, even if they can understand the need to rest some.
  3. Anyone breaking the law deserved to get nicked. Won't be the case on the next pro-palestine march. Intelligence suggesting far-right/football hoolies would be in attendance, and has been policed accordingly. Fair enough. Yet when individuals with knows pro-terror sympathies get involved with hate marches, it seems that the commissioner is far less stringent.
  4. Spot on there Swanny. I've mentioned this before on here, but I've a family member who felt from the age of about 8 that things "weren't right". Started male, and once old enough, commenced the long, in-depth process of changing. Psychological analysis, pre-op living as a woman etc before final surgery. A long difficult process achieved without great fuss, ridiculous posts on pillock-tube nor exhibitionism/activism. Quite happy to refer to her as she/a woman now. Also have one (maybe two) others now who rant/screech about what they are. Strange how all their close friends are of the same group think, gripped not just by the fashion of the day, but by the dangerous over the top pandering by too many. In years to come we're going to see what a fuck up some have made; the shocking practices in the Tavistock clinic and numerous cases of bizarre decisions leading to job loss, harm and anything in between. Hopefully the Cass report is the first step on that road. Unfortunately, there are plenty in politics and positions of authority that aren't happy about it, and will take some shifting.
  5. St Patrick wasn't born in Ireland. Yet no bugger seems bothered. Countries all over the world celebrate their nation/culture in all manner of ways, and are happy to do so. Only the usual progressive group-thinkers telling folk what they have to believe, how to think and to be anti-English as that's the only way to atone. I've not put a flag out, been to a party or done anything specific to the day, but it doesn't mean I look down on those that have. All the best to them.
  6. Quick look at the table on bbc:
  7. 2 bowt to Cheltenham. Burton will be looking...
  8. Aye, thought Lee had a good one. Iirc, away wins after going behind were a rare event then.
  9. Play each other last game! Does seem odd to think of the East Anglians heading South.
  10. https://www.forces.net/services/royal-marines/royal-marines-defend-their-virginia-gauntlet-title-after-head-head-us One for RW especially, but good to see th'Americans getting beaten in their own back yard. 😀
  11. That the game where they scored first?
  12. It's the games in the prem etc that could affected. Didn't read the full article, but I saw a headline that all unions had decided to strike on the bank holiday weekend, which is a bastard for anyone, not just football fans.
  13. Got the box set ages ago. When my dad passed away, my mum gave me his box set! Didn't have the heart to say I'd already got it!
  14. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-68874928.amp Certainly not making it easy for folk to get about.
  15. Club wouldn't put a statement out if they don't yet know times. Once they do, then a simple reference to the start times of all the games, or even a link to the efl site does no harm. After all, we're guaranteed a semi final place, and therefore could be in the final. If it was a pre-third round fa cup time and they out out the time of the final, then maybe they would be tempting fate.
  16. We need a mass brawl, umpteen red cards, hammies galore, and a red each for Posh's coaching staff.
  17. Well, I'd like to see the number of protests restricted, and for the police to use the full powers they wanted and were given. If marches are allowed but the participants allowed to get away with criminality then things will just get worse. The cost of this lot is also astronomical and perhaps the policing budget is designed to accommodate such a frequency.
  18. At least it would disinfect the area first!
  19. Don't get it. The attacker can have his arm further forward than the defender.
  20. It is indeed a difficult, grey area. I suppose it depends upon the quality of the rules, and willingness to apply them. Efl and fa don't necessarily have a great level of trust from fans neither.
