  1. One or two key players out of contract at fhe end of the season. Should we get them signed up, or wait until January?
  2. Forget about next week's crowd. Just win the game for those that do.
  3. Hope this makes Burnden feel a bit better. Would love it if Neil has a grin on his face too.
  4. Santos' cross for the 5th is a peach. He can play anywhere!
  5. Beating this lot is some compensation.
  6. I admire your control. Already tissued down.
  7. He just likes to poke the hornet's nest. A few of us felt he needed to improve his end product- as did Evatt- which he now seems to be doing. Long may it continue.
  8. Surely Lee would be useful now. We are more solid with him, and still created chances the other night. Not good for the ticker this. An uneventful 0-0 second half will do nicely.
  9. When I dropped him off on his first day, I was somewhat gobsmacked by the lack of clothing being worn by a number of lasses. How the buggery I'd have been able to concentrate on the subject matter with flesh erupting everywhere I don't know. The lucky sod.
  10. They did a report showing a demolished car and some people saying the folk weren't terrorists a day or so afterwards. If true, then it seems the intelligence was either flawed or somehow got confused, as the weapons themselves are quite accurate.
  11. Do either of these two emit extreme decibel screams each shot? Biggest drawback of the women's game
  12. At work. Hear the news from a colleague and looked on t'internet. Then went to a staff room and watched in the the telly; technicians, office staff, maintenance folk, security folk, lecturers etc all piling in and sharing the moment all aghast. Life changing day.
  13. Have you got a bacterial infection on top then- that's a bastard. Fight the bugger, and get well soon.
  14. I watched Mac live at the time. There was an intimation that she'd bottled it, but he didn't explain himself fully. His colleagues were a bit surprised but that's the way he is. It is possible she did under the weight of expectation at the time, first time in the situation etc. Nothing really revealed since as far as I'm aware. Hopefully, whatever the reason, she's put it behind her and got stronger.
  15. Salva Ballesta. Always thought he was decent but didn't get much of a sniff. Soon disappeared off radar.
  16. Hope there is no legacy from Wimbledon if she loses a set. Great character though, and purely for the ride, it feels like she should be favourite.
  17. Definitely. Love bats me, could watch then for ages- they're mesmerising. When I lived on a farm for a term, the light from my window would attract insects, and consequently bats would dive bomb them and then change direction at the last minute to avoid contact. Brill.
