  1. Meh. Drove through parts of Widnes and Warrington today, and it was remarkably quiet on some of the main roads, and others were almost dead, no one about. Surely they aren't all making a day of it in front of the telly, like we used to do with the fa cup?
  2. Nowt wrong with a bit of venison. Wouldn’t fancy the chances of one of my dogs against one of these buggers though, definitely better using a car.
  3. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3384366/amp/Geoff-Hurst-s-goal-against-West-Germany-DID-cross-line-Sky-Sports-finally-prove-linesman-right-award-controversial-strike-1966-World-Cup-final.html It went in.
  4. What an absolute athlete and top professional he was. Almost old enough to be Nolan's dad but would get up and down the pitch better. Aggression and timing on those headers are a joy to behold. What a massive shame and loss.
  5. It wasn't forearmed into the net though. Anyway, the reaction over there is something else. Bonkers. They're loopy.
  6. A dagger to the heart that. You should be a forensic scientist!
  7. Saw 3 yesterday too. Had to keep the dog well away until they'd gone. Walked back and he still smelled them and fucked off.
  8. Seems brushing is recommended, but I found this and it.might he worth doing. https://www.roscoesbedandbark.com/wp2/7-natural-solutions-stinky-dog-breath/ I sometimes put turmeric in our dogs' food, for joints etc, but it seems to do everything so that might also be an option. Mine do get manky breath from time to time too, I suppose its impossible to be prefect given the things they pick up and pick though.
  9. Will have been 86/87. Had to fill cars. Owner/top manager, a Mr Smythe as I recall, always insisted we served customers quickly and didn't keep folk waiting, and shouldn't get embroiled in anything untoward. Anyway, one day, this total twat drives in through the exit and reverses into a space at a pump that others were queueing for. Caused a major rumpus, so I'm trying to explain and apologise to this old couple who were waiting. Smythe sees me not serving the twat and walks straight up and forcefully, but politely, asks why I'm not serving him. I explained what happened and Smythe walks up to him and tells him to do one and never come back. Girls on the till are gobsmacked as the twat is a very regular customer. Always had time for Smythe after that. A lesson in how to deal with cunts.
  10. Pretty much, yes. Shouldn't be for too much longer either.
  11. Went to Cosford museum a while back, and when we came to leave there was an old boy at the door. He was talking readily about his experiences but I can't remember his name. Cracking fella.
  12. What's the outcome of your transplant George? He didn't care about that neither. Got another. Twatspatula. Anyway, if it wasn't for the war years and our Nat had managed a full international career, I reckon he may have been spoken about in such heady circles too.
  13. You have a point. What about leavers that keep moaning about leaving though?
  14. Its the effect of withdrawal from a proper pint I reckon. Scrambles perspective.
  15. Lancaster is part of Lancashire. Much of Lancashire has high rates. Have to draw lines somewhere. Parts of London are low, others are high and increasing. All in the same tier.
  16. As a supplier of all things dog food related we obviously get a fair range of options for our hounds. Pigs ears are useful as they take chewing as does rawhide etc. Actually helps dogs relax (chewing action apparently) and calories not as easily gained. Dried fish (sprats) are excellent for a reward as they are tiny, but full of useful oils etc. Can even dry your own stuff like a bit of liver for example. Use a really low oven for a good while and they dry out. Are you using dried dog food too, as they are also made with a carbohydrate source which acts as a binder. Thats why I cook my own. Simply get raw stuff- used in BARF diets- (lots of stuff available) and add veg and a controlled amount of carbs. Cook and freeze if required.
  17. Just more traffic then. The road gets blocked at the lights now.

  19. Did some part time work at Radcliffe Road Garage, and got £17.50 (plus a few tips). Then got a punctured lung and had to pack in.
