  1. Apologies if this has been mentioned before but I think Dave Kitson would be a good signing for us.Decent. Affordable. Available. A typical Bolton signing in many ways, not working out where he is, comes to us could come good. Much more so than Vassell. JSL.

  2. It's a goodbye from me - he built his career on being box to box and his legs have gone not totally but enough so that we can't afford to carry him - if he had more passing abilty he could sit and do the Campo role as he can't then he has nothing to offer our 1st 11.

Mark Davies is a different sort of player and i believe will come good for the whites.

We desperately need to move a couple on in Jan McCann, Shittu, AOB, Riga clear the way for a quality centre half and a quality midfield player - if we're skint I'd give Nigel Quashie a squad number he can hold midfield and pass the ball.

Quazzie! That has got to be a wind up. He's been down with everything but the titanic! How many times has he been relegated? God McCann every time if that is the alternative. :nea: Awful awful player.

  3. Hmmm....let me check my December diary.

Christmas Day: Presents followed by dinner with the family and a gentle descent into a warm, glowing alcoholic haze long into the evening.

Boxing Day: Go to Burnley and have the local bog-eyed peasantry throw horse shit at me. when the 1p and 2p coins run out.

    Iamtherewithfuckingchristmasbellson

    :drinks: :yahoo:

  4. apologies snowball, i didnt mean to seem arrogant. i guess i was just pissed of at the performance like everyone else.

but after watching the game back, i do still believe davies was as poor as any other players. At the very least, as captain, he should be leading the line even when playing poorly.

hopefully youve now seen the game, and seen how poor he was. like i said though he was not alone.

the number of times he loses the ball, is criminal.

like any other player, i guess youve gotta weigh up his good attributes with his bad and decide whether the team benefits or not.

yestererday it most certainly did not.

No problem Homer. Guess we were both pissed off with that result/performance. I personally don't think Davies needs to be rested, I would prefer us to play two up front, Davies and either Klasnic or Elmander v Jackburn.

  5. same here, annoyed because it woke me up at 7am. However I got to watch Football League Show on Sky - Mark Robins feck me zero personality, I can see where he got it. My 5 year old said, 'I saw Bolton's badge on the wall'. I had to put him right back in his place as to why our badge was not on that wall.

And Chris Sutton makes Mark Robins look like Mr Charisma.

  6. I honestly think Nicky Hunt is a better defender than Ricketts, Steinsson and Robinson, and I fucking hate him (NH that is) =@

I honestly think Nicky Hunt is no worse a defender than Ricketts, Steinsson and Robinson and I don't fucking hate him (NH that is).

Now I'm off for that pint (and I might even toast NH! who can play up front!) depending on how many I have.

P.S. Is it a sin to admit I enjoyed watching Arsenal.......again.

  7. Snowball,

Homer's not a manager on here. The more posts you make, the more little footballs you get next to your name and your "title" changes.

It only relates to number of posts: nothing more, nothing less.

His points/opinions are no more or no less valid than yours and I'm happy for you both to continue to express yourselves.

However, we don't want posters to personally abuse each other.

We've had another bad day: have a drink and chill out.

Fair enough Traf. Off for a pint now, hopefully it will do the trick as long as no one mentions football!

  8. idiot?

davies was shite, and has been most of the season.

today he again looked slow and lethargic. i lost count of the number of times a move broke down when the ball got to him.

the last 3 captains have received torrents of abuse when the team disappears. davies never get this, yet he is a silent captian.

dont get me wrong, i love the bloke, hes a proper bloke and very much the last of a dying breed, but he starting to show his age and its doing us no favours.

Whatever. Don't agree, there is so much more wrong with our team than Kevin Davies. But that's another arguement and I've made my point so I'm off.

  9. on a roll of posting shite tonight arent you.

    think i'll follow trafs lead.

cant be arsed talking to people who wouldnt know a footballer from fukcin chris eubank.

    ta ta

Well I've had to follow your trail of shite for weeks, slating Kev Davies yet bigging up Elmander. But you know more about football coz you're a manager on WW, that it? Don't worry I'll be going back to just reading your shite from now on, you've got more time than I have on your hands. Arrogant cock.

  10. turning point for elmander!

Course it is. A tap in off the post now watch him go. Meanwhile let's slag of our best striker, who cost us nothing, scored his highest total yet in the Prem last season and was on the verge of the England squad. But of course Elmander has a better footballing brain and is a more elegant player. Worth every penny.

  11. if we picking players form/attitude, davies is dropped/rested for me.

we need to fuck this attacking crap off for away games, and get back to actually defending properly.

Oh FFS give it a rest Homo. Every chance to have a pop at SKD and you're off. Out of form? You're the idiot who said he looked tired after the Tottenham game when I had him MOM. Charlie Nicholas said today he looked very lively and our best goal threat especially in the first half.

It's all about opinions so mine is just as valid as yours even though you think you're some big shot on a poxy internet board. And it's just my opinion that Elmander has been a complete disaster and will come to be seen in the future as the biggest waste of money ever and we simply cannnot afford mistakes like him. Jaaskelainen and Davies are indispensable for me.

As for the defence it's a disaster at the moment (keeper excepted). Cahill is obviously our best defender (although I maintain a tad over rated) but apart from him I'm not happy with any of the others. Just what has Steinnson done wrong?

  12. No doubt Sam did a brilliant job for us and even now I sometimes would entertain the notion of having him back. This season will be very interesting in solving the debate about Sam and Megsons perceived strengths and weakness. Will they finish higher than us? Some have been moaning about the number of signings Jackburn have made compared to us but are they any good? Plus they've lost Ooijer,Too Gay,Santa Cruz ,but on the plus side they trousered ?15 million. I don't get the impression that Sam is going to repeat the job he did here. Don't quite know why and it's early days but it's obvious that Sam is not going to get the money he craved at Bolton over at Jackburn (unless he sells his best players). I really can't see him getting Van Nistelrooy but then again he did get Anelka (as he has been quick to point out!)

I'm hoping to finish above Jackburn, the Pie Eaters and Burnley. Surely not too optimistic?

  13. I'm not sure anyone having a plus or minus opinion on Bramble deserves abuse like that. Not as if we will be signing him.

I went to OT today to watch Lancy hit all over the pitch by Hants then put on a rather dismal batting display. I bumped into 4 Bolton fans who noticed my shirt and we had a conversation similar to the comments made by the previous poster. All four were disappointed that the signings to date were low in terms of numbers and quality. None of them could see how the proposed/rumoured signings fit in with the exciting new dawn we have been promised.

None of us fell out, no insults traded, just a few Wanderers fans commenting on signings to date. I,m sorry if you think these type of thoughts and conversations aren't happening, cos they are and probably will until 15th August. We then had a good reminisce about games/players and agreed that hard as it is sometimes, being a Wanderer is in the blood.

None of them including myself were blind faith merchants. We discussed Big Mac and the unbelievable starts he had had, nobody could see Premier quality in either O'Brien and we all thought Elmander needed to pull his socks up big style. Steinsson was rated nowhere near ?4 mill better than Hunt. And that was it, just a natter between fans all with pretty much similar concerns.

I am not 'a blind faith merchant', 'pro Megson' or whatever label you can think of Sprout. Indeed I have my reservations and spat my dummy out myself after a few of the performances last season. But I will not condemn someone on the word of the News of The World or any other gutter press shite. Secondly some need to get real regarding the type of player we can reasonably attract in the present circumstances. By that I mean BWFC itself and what is happening elsewhere in the game at the moment.

Let's give Megson some time on the transfer front before we start slagging him off FFS. Sean Davis is a solid start and the type of player who has helped us become established in the Premier League (against the odds).

I still maintain he has done well in the transfer market so far even with the jury being out on Muamba & Elmander. Let's see who we actually do sign and then howabout actually seeing them play in a white shirt before we call them crap?

  14. So basically anyone having a go at Elmander is liable to be told they know nothing about football? Come on, let's face up to it it's not going to work. Firstly we don't seem to play a system suited to his talents. Secondly he is now so devoid of confidence he can't even do the basics right. We have an ?8 million striker who has scored ONCE at home all season (I think I'm right there) and that was in the first game! I know this may not tell the whole story but it is pretty dire. I really do hope he comes good but I have seen very little so far to encourage this hope.

The little hope I have is that Megson proves me wrong, gets better players in the summer, finds a system and Elmander shines. Who knows? Hope springs eternal!

  15. Having a ten year old son myself who comes to all the matches with me it has really hit home, my thoughts and prayers go out to Dave and all family and friends. Thanks for the report Satan, I'm really glad the club have done everything right and represented what this has meant to all Wanderers supporters at losing one of our own at such an age.

  16. I wouldn't be too bothered if we end up losing if it means the Geordies go down. I'm sure there'll be a few with a secret smile if a legend from the glory years keeps his team up at the expense of the Geordie nation and our great leader.

I've given you the benefit of the doubt before, even given you're user name. But I must now say you are a total bell end. Let's paste Hull and let the rest take care of themselves.

  17. The whole 'Off off' thing isn't remotely funny, and only serves to wind up members of the coaching and, more importantly, the playing staff in the middle of a game.

    So yes, they are wankers.

If that's all you can complain about after yesterday then it's you who is the wanker. I think Megson deserves some stick after the last few performances. We've long since given up on giving the top teams a game, but for the first half against Wigan and again yesterday, the opposition ran rings around us. Wigan and Sunderland taking the piss! Just what system are we playing?

Elmander is under a lot of pressure (been building up match after match) but leaving the way we play aside, the fact that he wasn't the only one, the service, the weather, the ticket office or any other excuse already thought up for him.....He was utter shite yesterday. He couldn't control the ball when it came to him and jumped at the ball with no conviction at all. He is shaping up to be the biggest waste of money since Dean you know who. I think all the same excuses were made for that cnt as well.

I am sick of watching a shite game and patronising nobbers on here trying to deflect from Megsons 'tactics' by coming over all holier than thou regarding our fans. Yes we have some tossers but its the tosser in charge who's worst of all. We've always had dickheads get used to it. can't get used to Megson.

And before I finish my rant, another thing i've got against Megson. This guy does not help himself off the pitch. I know a few people behind the scenes at the Reebok who are pissed of with our managers attitude. Want Gary Megson to come to the Junior Whites, charity do's for the club, good will visits? Forget it, he's off home to Sheffield as fast as he can, doesn't see it as his job. I know there are those who argue that it isn't his job and as long as he keeps us in the premiership that's all that matters. Well its's not to me, how can you argue that he has any affinity for the club? He doesn't help himself and when things get realy tough it's this lack of affection for Megson that could cost him his job. I don't think I owe Megson anything. I am with the 'wankers' now.

  18. Ive phoned them many times enquiring about the monthly cost only to be told of their rip off connection fee. That fee is total bollox and that`s why I wont ever subscribe.

I paid Setanta ?1 last christmas under some offer. Worst thing I ever did. Ended up having to pay a full months subscription as I couldn't get rid of the bloody thing, they do everything to stop you cancelling and then cancelled it a few minutes before Newcastle away was due to start. They will never get another penny out of me and it is a really ropey, cheapskate outfit in terms of picture quality and presentation. They should have stuck to Leprechaun sports.

  19. Not at all, kind sir. Athywhite1958 seemed to find it so and, if I have made one person smile today then my work is done.

Also, can I respectfully point out your typographical error in this post and numerous ones in your earlier (further) anti Megson rant that wasn't.

    Make that two Bolty.

DoubleDutch, I am not convinced yet by Megson either but I haven't got a clue what you are on about or why you brought the subject up on a discussion about Joey Barton?

  20. It's on NB's "worst ever" list though :D

Back to the plot; thinking about it, I'm not sure anything in a league game can be rock bottom, simply because you always know there's a chance you can be reprived the next year. And indeed some relegations can be for the best in the long term.

So we need a one-off and I'm afraid there's only one winner - Deano. Don't forget the perfect symmetry it would have generated - to have played in the first and last original Wembley Cup Finals. No money could buy that; no foreign sheik can come in and buy that history for Citeh or whoever. It would have been - should have been - and now can never be.

One day we may be back in Europe and make up for Lisbon (and now the Lauta Hools can get visas they might fetch up over here in their caravans and get a deserved kicking). We might send Everton down, hammer the Filth on a Sunday, and right all the previous wrongs. We might even get to a Cup final and sing abide with me. But by definition we'll never, ever, get that chance for history again.

Useless fućking ćunt. Made me blood boil when he turned out to be on Fighting Talk as I was driving up to the Villa game.

And it was made worse Satan because for one bleedin' second I thought we'd done it. I was off my seat and we were in the Cup Final then the realisation! He'd fuckin missed it! and for that alone the Lindsay Dawn McKenzie, fat slapper shaggin useless cnt will always be the biggest waste of space and money ever to wear a whites shirt in my lifetime. The number of gilt edged chances this nobber missed, the money he cost and the fact he managed to score against us easily enough. And there are still those who seem not to mind him. DeanoH

  21. Not one of the 2,902 (or was that 29,020) has mentioned 0-3 Darlington Bommy night yet.

Scarboro 0-4, Notts Co 0-6, Rotherham 0-5, Northampton (B Barnes) 0-3 are up there but Aldershot and Utd are the top 2 all time worst for me

I was at Scarborough but I never got that horrible crappy feeling in the pit of my stomach that the other ones gave. We were crap then and we knew it, plus it was a good day out  I think the worst defeats are the ones were the dream actually dies i.e. play off defeat, relegation, cup exit etc. Or losing to our dear neighbours of course. Notts County away was actually more of a laugh than a bad memory. I remember some lad who had got stuck in traffic coming in late and asking me the score. Once I had convinced him we were 6 down before half time he promptly said 'fck this' and pissed off back down the tunnel. And people wonder why most on here get pissed off with the moaners today.

Thanks for reminding me about Oldham in the cup, almost managed to forget that one. Patterson fannying around, mud heap of a pitch and that fat barsteward Beckford who was utter shite and had done nothing in the whole match. It's all coming back now and it still rankles!

  22. 1. v Trampmere at Wembley. (Well done Scunny. Nothing is ever forgotten or forgiven even if we can look down on them now. I feckin hate these scrotebags)

    2. v Barry Knight & his bumpkins. Surely one of football's greatest injustices. May they stay out of the Premiership for ever.

    3. v Watford at Wembley. The greatest Bolton non performance I have ever seen. Todd out.

    4. v Chelsea when we got relegated, though I have to admit I watched it in a pub in the town centre. (I think maybe this should be No1, I was pissed but really gutted. Losing out to Everton was hard to take and it looked like we were never going to make it in the Prem)

    5. v Mansfield in the 80's, in the Freight Rover Trophy. It meant a lot at the time!

    6. One super shit Saturday in the 80's when we lost to the BucketShakers and Rangers lost to Sellick. A black day indeed. I'm sure I didn't imagine this. Does anyone know the exact date?
