  1. I am in bits already, need a beer or twelve to calm the nerves. i suspect Stoke will be too big and too powerful for a knackered and injury ravaged Wanderers but I will be there screaming my balls off for the lads. Lets get one thing in perspective - Fabrice Muamba.
  2. It is just as well we can pay on the gate. My mate ordered 3 tickets on line yesterday, they duly arrived today - for the Stoke game. Before the abuse sets in about selecting the wrong game his email confirmation quotes Sunderland at a cost of 3 X ? 29 rather than ?25 for the match at the Britannia. Whether this is down to Wanderers ticket office or Ticketmaster I know not, but it isnt great. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? No matter we will be there, in with the Mackems if need be WHYYYYEEYYEE
  3. Whatever the reason Fab was dropped on Saturday Coyle still had the opportunity to rectify the situation by taking off SKD at HT (or sooner). A blind man could see the 442 wasn`t working and we were being overrun in midfield, at home, by the leagues bottom team. The substitutions made were like for like - but the problem imo was down to system not personnel. Mark Davies effectiveness is lost in a 442 formation as he has to chase back and assist defensively. I read somewhere that Coyle picked SKD because he and N`gog had been successful together at the DW in October. What a loads of bollocks - we won the match simply because they were absolutely shite on the day. Furthermore Kevin Davies invariably has little success when Howard Webb is in charge as he gets regularly penalised so the decision to pick him made no sense whatsoever. Coyle also said Wanderers (paraphrase) were all over Wigan in the second half. Which match was he watching? We had our first shot on target after a hour. Finally I was in a pub in Wigan on Wednesday and overheard 3 Latics fans discussing the game. I swear they made precisely the same points raised on WW regarding Wanderers puzzling formation. Now then, if they could see it . 20000 fans at the Reebok could see it, plus every armchair fan I have spoken to. Why didn`t Coyle do something about it. Would he prefer to see us relegated rather than hold his hands up and admit he was wrong?
  4. This could run for a while as we all have our own prejudices whether it be against the club or their supporters - but I reckon it has more to do with the attitude of the fans rather than the clubs themselves but here goes; Man U - I was indoctrinated from being a nipper to hate to them, and still do, with a passion. But I have good friends who follow Utd some of whom actually attend matches so I tend to keep my views under wraps to keep the peace. Liverpool - the city of self pity. I have worked with scousers and generally got on with them ok. But, in terms of football fans, the most bigoted fuckwit I have ever had the misfortune to meet was a Liverpool fan. What a twat. . Tranmere - Lowlifes, who were dancing in the street outside Prenton Park having deprived us of 100 points with an injury time equaliser. Well done sad twats. Villa - are they all retarded or just the ones I have met? . Arsenal - so up themselves with a humility bypass. But the club I hate the most is Blackburn what a shithole, they are our rivals the rest I can tolerate.
  5. Yeah Im travelling down to London later today and am too excited to go to bed so I am drinking and responding to WW?
  6. Not attending the match be serious? My predicament was do missus and I stay for weekend or do I travel down on the day. Eventually wife begged a student to work her shift on Monday and we are able to have three nights away - fuck the expense the opportunity doesnt come along often. If we make the final then out will come the plastic - not supporting Wanderers on a big occasion is beyond my comprehension.
  7. I agree, cockney spiv Redknapp was more than happy to spend money the club clearly could not afford. The owners ought to have known better but milked the moment. The fans enjoyed the FA cup success and European competition without question? Pompey`s name will remain on the FA cup despite the huge mismanagement. I have a little sympathy for the fans who deserve far better.
  8. I can understand us being bottom of the ladder given the criteria if home games only count. 1 Verbal support has been almost non existent, certainly around me in ESL this season but that is probably because we have only won one home league game. Fans react to the performance on the pitch. It also gives an opportunity for the assessor to criticise fans for having a go at Megson. 2 "Recognition" generally only occurs once a team is 2 or 3 goals up and fans get giddy cause they dont give a f*ck. We haven`t been in that position this season so same applies. If away games are considered then its bollocks.
  9. I predict less pre match anasthetic than usual due to early kick off. Exciting game due to lots of defensive errors finishes 2 - 2. Nailed on Jason Roberts for Rovers...........he always does.
  10. Even sadder she is fully aware of the situation and keeps two (in case I lose one) set aside for the purpose.
  11. After taking a shower earwax is easily and safely removed by using the rounded end of t`missus hairgrip. Honest it works................but how bloody sad am I for knowing this?
  12. I too have faith in Elmander and am more optimistic than I was at the start of 08/09 season. The squad additions should see us clear of the relegation zone and perhaps GM might show a little more adventure and send out decent teams in the cup competitions. Megsons remit is to keep BWFC in the Prem. He`s achieved that, now lets enjoy it, and give him a chance to take the club a step further.
  13. Sorry for my lack of punctuation HomerJay. I was referring to the bad misses against Man U & Villa not his overall contribution in those particular games. Thanks for the interesting stats, I will keep them in mind next season when I imagine he will disappoint me again. I honestly, am willing Muamba to succeed.
  14. Hate..............I dont hate anybody. just pissed off with Muamba`s contribution given the fee BWFC paid Birmingham. I discussed Muamba with a Brum fan I know through work and he almost wet himself when Fabrice was offloaded to Bolton. I LOVE BWFC and want Muamba to be a success......i will probably plait shit?
  15. Potential.....yeah right ......ability none. He has strength, he can shield a ball, he can make the occasional tackle but he cannot pass to anyone in a similar coloured shirt or place the ball in an empty net (MU away Villa at home). Muamba is a disaster. I so much wanted to be proved wrong when I said on the opening day aganst Stoke he is shite. But no, sadly I was right. I have followed Wanderers for 40 years and have never been so disappointed or so vitriolic against one individual as effin Muamaba..............sorry
  16. Casino Sorry to be a bit stattoesque but as I recall Peter Mellor deflected into the net a Sam Allaryce header that was going well wide in the league game 76/7 which we won 2-1. Mike Walsh late 30 yard volley that caused all the controversy came down out of the floodlights with snow on it and looped in to the top corner. The ref still played on for another couple of minutes and Bobby Moore went ape.
  17. Sorry for the late post but I agree wholeheartedly with Alf. Total pisser that a so called fellow Wanderer stole a camera and Muamba is Shite, he has physical strength, but the turning circle of a Japanese Tanker. Not sure about Lofty.
  18. I work in Manc and dont know of any. I wouldnt imagine you would get too much grief in the posher bars around Deansgate station unless you are mob handed, but I reckon best policy would be boozin int Sweet Green (if the pumps have been cleaned recently) before heading to OT via Train/Metro
  19. Precisely, aside from the matching Brazilan strips (until Des Foy eventually intervened) the flowing red mane, one was slow, overweight and ineffective with a fixed inane grin offering no threat to poor defenceless types the other is Lofty.
  20. Did anyone else notice the striking resemblance between Dave Kitson and Lofty?
