  1. Those two birds from the Spoons at Watford are!! Nobster??
  2. You're not wrong. Tells me something when I traveled all the way up there on Saturday for the Forest game and stayed in the pub. Never done that before.
  3. Attendance of 13,847 here at Macron this evening, with 1,297 from Middlesbrough And I wasn't one of 'em. Shit fan.
  4. Yep. I'll call you for a pre-match beer mate. Got my local landlord in tow mind who's Fulham.
  5. Had a few tonight but setting off at 6ish to mates in Middleton and then trying to work out how to get from there to ground. Be in Manc Sat night if you're not in Scotts before game mate. Let me know.
  6. Anyone know about a bus replacement from Manc? or is Railtrack pulling my leg?
  7. Not fully decided on Freedman but think he did think things out at Watford. He knew we'd be under the cosh so played with two holding midfielders to protect the back line. He knew that left extra space in front so played Davies instead of Beckford who has a better chance of holding it up til support arrives. Played high line to limit the space between midfield and CD ....... just forgot that a high back line wouldn't work as we have no pace and that's where we got done. Not sure what else he could of done apart from sit a bit deeper and hope that CD can get hold for ages til the support arrives and he's not good enough for that. Neither worked with the players we had, so back to square one. Hope none of our oppo noticed.
  8. TW, Amlin seem to be the main insurers but think you need to go thro a broker. My Co got a few vehicles on the road and they gave the best price. Advice is to go thro a couple of brokers asking them to go to Amlin and then play one off against the other, 'sorry but I have a better quote etc'. I saved over £600 per year per vehicle playing one off against the other. After about three quotes they'll be pretty close and just take your pick!
  9. Been renting a flat out for years but the lad dropped dead from a heart attack aged 40 a couple of weeks back. Decided best option was to ditch all the furnishing and sell up, so got a big van and in it all went. Got down the tip with the proof of ID only to be told that as it came from a rented flat it was commercial waste, I had to go over the weigh bridge and pay £130 per tonne, Tried to explain that it was my stuff but to no avail. Off I went only to be told I couldn't get in with a hard hat, hard shoes and a hi vis of which I had nothing, so drove off. What's that all about? Commercial waste? Some bird even told me I was breaking the law by transporting commercial waste without a licence. God rid in the end .......... just drove to the next nearest tip and lied to give the right answers.
  10. Not on it myself but bro put pic on Facebook and I'm getting loads of grief for taking the piss out of Reading leg ends! Fair play to both Mickey Gooding and Adie Williams for being good lads although AW did call me a f'in c*** for catching him down the achilles!
  11. Some ex pros look after themselves others don't. Last weekend played against a Reading Vets team including a couple from the play off final. They did us 2-0 but I was youngest at nearly 50 along with a few mates from the pub. Neil Webb just stood there watching. Revenge was a photo with two of them and check out the fingers! - look left! Guess who?
  12. Bollox - she ain't got a licence and she don't drive. I don't think.

    Suarez

Four month ban from all football and nine game Uruguay ban. He'll probably miss less 'pool games than last time he did it ... Joke.
  14. Think I'm in. Done predictions up to where you haven't got a clue who's playing who. Does that count??
  15. Grandma from heaven that one! As a youngster a Grandma with a corner shop (528 Wigan Rd, Deane I think) in the 70s with loads of sweets and then changed it to a bacon butty and pie shop with an amusement arcade in the back in the early 80s was great! Sadly passed away mid 80s but what a game old bird.
  16. Yeah ... the template I used with one.com won't let it happen and their on line support desk is down
  17. He's spent a few hundred million on a massive re-generation program opposite Reading station
  18. Cheers Ani. Some changes have been made!
  19. The City backers wanted something informal so that's where the name came from. I already own a few routes for Interlink so I know my drivers are always struggling for cash for fuel, beer, etc so just created something that I can market UK wide. Spoken with the likes of Geopost who own Interlink and DPD and they like the look of it for their 3200 drivers! Only problem I have is I need a cash float of about £1800 per driver per month and am limited to £1.5m at moment. If it gets big then I need to go back to the City for more which shouldn't be a problem as it'll be proven by then.
  20. Should be fine mate. All emails working ok. PM me
  21. http://www.sportsbreak.com/soccer/10-biggest-bargain-transfers-in-history/?utm_source=outbrain&utm_campaign=sportsbreak_desktop&utm_medium=cpc JJ gets in but no Gudni.
  22. Just seen this in the local rag http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/reading-fc-takeover-sir-john-7236882 I know Begbies Traynor have dealt with football administration before but not sure if it means they're in it? Ten points start on them next season would be nice ........ or whatever it is.
  23. I've set up www.thorpeys.com which seemed like a good idea a few weeks ago! All based on the self-employed getting paid weekly instead of monthly, won't earn any less and potentially being better off! Do you reckon I could be on a winner here?? I make about £50 to £60 per person a week and already had a good deal of interest. Going live this week so if you know anyone ................
