Ain't no boo like an Everton boo

Why? Because we'd had 7 episodes of a 9 episode series building up a story about a specific bunch of characters and their squadron, only for a whole new batch and story thread to be introduced near the end. If they wanted to make a point about the Tuskegee Airmen, their incredible achievements and the specific hardships they faced, make a series about them. I'm more making a point about the quality of the series and its uneven storytelling than the narrative of the war itself. It felt as if they only found out halfway through filming that they had 9 episodes to do their stuff and not more like 15.

I knew something flaggy was going to happen from the start as they gave spoilers away in the starting credits, it was daft though. Seemed quite contrived to try and fit the story of the Tuskegee Airmen in wherever they possibly could as well. Smelt a bit... well, WOKE. The spy woman kind of just petered out as well, seemed like they clearly ran out of time to do anything with her story but then why make us invest in her earlier on. Quite liked her as well.

First I'd heard of that rule too. Mind you it doesn't look the best...

Fulham awaydays

Not so much in the way of decent trips remaining in rest of play offs, maybe take Barrow or Crawley to tick them off. Think we get a half tick for standing in their car park in lockdown 😀

Hopefully they drop off I'm not going there again.

Reading champions without even trying

Bradford having a go at sneaking into the L2 playoffs from nowhere.

Ended up feeling a bit meh about Masters of the air. Felt it lost its way a bit towards the end and tried shoehorning stuff in that needed its own series rather than a half arsed episode, like the Tuskegee Airmen, or the spy plot. Had a really strong start before it became a prison escape series (where no-one lost any weight and still had great hair). I'm absolutely game for another series about a fighter or bomber squadron at war though. Korea, Vietnam etc, bring it.

Hope we're in different divisions next season, I'm sick to death of seeing the word Posh.

Why sit at home in comfort when you can have the absolute piss taken out of you trying to get to and from somewhere late on a Saturday night?

Could do with us finishing third for personal reasons as well... there's a facking train strike on my line on the day of the 4th team's second leg.

Unbelievable isn't it. Even if that's the feeling in the club, you can't send shit like that out! I only really see and hear a small fraction of Forest's fans from the in laws and some work colleagues but there really does seem to be this feeling like the fun has gone out of it all last few months. Defeats being greeted with shrugged shoulders etc, whereas last season they were living every second.
