He's at Darlo, isn't he and he's from the North East and he's 29, so it all points to being him, but why no reference to him being a footballer? It's usually mentioned.
Looks to have been updated this morning, now several references to him being a footballer so definitely him. Explains his quick release from Darlington last season as well.

As much as it was Santos fault, I still can't fathom why Trafford was stood where he was
What I don't understand is why Santos doesn't even start running until Traff has made the clearance. If he puts the some effort tracking back he would have recovered the clearance of the line and it would be panic over.

Wasn't Parky the manager who froze DJ out at Sunderland? I'd be very surprised if he would drop 2 divisions to play for him again

Looks like MK Dons have got him

From Wikipedia:
"In association football, the back-pass rule prohibits the goalkeeper from handling the ball in most cases when it is passed to them by a team-mate. It is described in Law 12, Section 2 of the Laws of the Game."
No idea how that wasn't given, terrible ref seems to be every week at the moment

Posted on the wrong thread this morning but it was early.
My Dad's from Bolton but moved down South before I was born. Never once did he put any pressure on me to be a Bolton fan but I never felt any passion watching anyone else. My boy turned 12 last year and we now live Nottingham way, I did the same never encouraging him to support Bolton but he is now a die hard wanderer as well. For all 3 generations watching us win games this season is the best feeling in the world. I'm not sure if it's the atmosphere at Bolton but we both ended up being die hard fans with no pressure at all while having higher tiered clubs closer to where we grew up.
When we have played the likes of Morecambe & Salford etc. they have a small core of local fans, with a lot of them treating them as a second team. I've lived all over the country and in my 33 years I don't think I've ever met a fan of either of these clubs who isn't from the town themselves, even then they are usually United/insert top 6 club.
I think this is what separates us from them, to have fans from all over the country/world who passionately support their team and no other club. I think to be a big club all fans should be welcomed from all backgrounds, I'd always rather see the kids in the park wanting to be the next Dapo or Charles than the next Zouma or Greenwood

Apart from Campo and Stelios the "galactico" players signed during the Premier league era have little affinity with the club after leaving and came for the money.

We can't sign him because he wasn't a free agent when the last transfer window closed.
Would that only apply if he was registered at Birmingham at the beginning of the season? if he was left out of the squad like how Comley was, wouldn't he be available to be registered before Jan?

Is this sold out now? Found myself free on a Saturday for what feels like the first time ever on a weekend I have my lad.

"Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offender is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.) the offending player must be sent off."
Surely by the rules above the ref believes Rico made no attempt for the ball, looking at the attempt I can't see how anyone would think that.
