I've gone slightly mad and just done a £5 bet builder:

    - Whites to win 5-0

    - Cambridge to win 1-0, Kachunga goal.

Whether I'll be happier with going into the last game with a real chance of going up, or the £9.5k in my bank, who can say?

It was looking a realistic bet until the Kachunga goal bit

  2. Watching Lainey Wilson in Manchester tomorrow night, she's a tidy wench as well as being bloody brilliant. Quite happy i'm not missing a promotion party too

Surely every team could do a montage of sitters and sloppy goals though

Absolutely - but I bet pompey and Derby have far fewer sloppy goals against

But we're not 3rd because of goals scored it's because of goals conceded. Look at the goals against column compared to Portsmouth and Derby. Take just the Wigan and Derby games - if you can't win those then don't lose them and they were 2 really soft goals to concede.  There has been so many examples this season with Shrewsbury another.

The old saying - defences win titles. Never been more accurate.

Yes, the clip on here shows some sitters we've missed. I'd hate to see a montage of very soft, sloppy goals we've conceeded

  5. Didn't think Baxter could have done anything with the first or Pompey's goal tbh.

The 2nd last night went through a lot of bodies so he'll have seen it late for sure.

Doubt Coleman would have done any better, doubt Trafford would have either if he was still with us

Happy with the job Evatt has done and wouldn’t mind him for another year if we fail to go up. Stability is an underrated commodity in football. He’s a good manager, not yet shown himself to be excellent though. But do you want to risk starting from scratch with a new man?

I feel he Evatt needs this promotion for the fan base’s support in general. He’s had 3 seasons to build a team capable of League 1 promotion and too often we’ve been lacking in important games and moments. Some bad luck yes - but when it’s happening consistently it is difficult to keep taking it. The Wigan defeats, the Blackpool loss, the Derby loss.

Dont think last season was our “time” to go up. Seemed written in the stars for Sheffield Weds, but this year we’ve had an easier league and Evatt has built this team with substantial funding and backing.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he walked before he was pushed should we fail to go up.

    Spot on

  7. Shrewsbury were everything which pisses me off about league 1.

Time wasting from the kick off, taking an age to come back after scoring and rolling round like they were playing best man falls.

We really need to find a way of beating shit like this. We need to find a way of being mentally tougher away or we end up like Oxford - a fluffy team who are nice to watch but going nowhere. Derby and Pompey have found ways to win ugly.

Dion didn't look fit to me at all last night, hope he was just feeling his way back in to it.

Maghoma our best player by a mile - possibly his best game for us

Might as well finish 4th for the Saturday away leg

I'd rather finish 4th now - the 5th place team isn't likely to go into the game on the back of a strong run.

We'll beat any of them though

Not mentioned anywhere, i dont think, first half collins got the merest touch on a cut back and it denied maghoma the chance of the match

Just seen that, didn't realise just how good a chance it would've been for Maghoma.

Run Wild Fred and Chambord are both non-runners.

Replaced with one who go a place - Ain't that a shame I think it was called. Won me £50. Good result

  11. Yengi did sod all. I reckon today is the type of player he is. If he is as good as he played that night at Fratton consistently, he replaces Bishop and goes for big money.

Did ok today, still think we could have done better but Charles coming back is huge. A few more minutes on Tuesday to build him up some more.

Thought our front 2 did very well. Could Bod have scored 1 or 2? Probably but both needed snap decisions

  12. Balls to it, need something to take my mind off football so losing a few quid on the National seems like just the ticket.

    Chemical somethinganother

    Run wild Fred

    Chambord

These are my 3 e/w bets so if anyone wants to win, avoid these 3

  13. The more I think about it, I'm actually going to be worried about Shrewsbury if we happen to win today.

Derby fans doing that silly bounce thing when they beat us thinking it was job done. I really hope we don't fall into the same trap if we win today - especially if results elsewhere do go for us.

    4 massive games ahead
