We'll win here, I've got every confidence.

Then we'll lose at Grimsby because that's the Bolton Wanderers way.

Let's just get a win though 1st then I might change my mind about Saturday

Why oh why did I just know this

Massive today as that is a strong team.

Liked to have seen Sarc on the subs bench; what's the latest in his recovery?

Evatt said 'ask Sarce and he'd say back for morecambe'

  3. Went in there once before an England game. A horror story big, fat stripper did her bit then came around with the pint pot.

I tried getting away with chucking 2p in. She went to the bar and came back with my change - 2 x 1p coins

maybe im not old enough , but why was steve bull getting capped for england when they were only  just in  division two

i remember some story about some crystal palace player (i'll look up who later*) getting picked for england when they were in division three , and he's talking to derbys colin todd and roy mcfarland in some england meet up or training or whatever and either roy or colin stop him talking and go "i'm sorry, but, who are you?"..

so why was Bull afforded this luxury(!?) ? its not like theres no other forwards..

    dont get it

    * probably peter taylor (as johnny byrne is too early)

Bull had scored something like 54 goals in div 4 followed by another 48 in div 3 so was given his chance in a Rous Cup game v Scotland, basically an end of season friendly. Scored in that too.

  5. The away day was a disaster, we lost and bloody Blackburn won the league. I hated it in the pub that night after getting home. Wolves were so much better than us in the 1st leg, i felt like we'd blown it.

The 2nd leg was pure, unadulterated ecstasy once SJM had made it 2-0

  6. Over the course of the season it has to be Santos. There have been some class contributions too, yes them already mentioned but John, Jones, Lee & Williams have all been outstanding over these last 15 or 16 games too

  7. I'm the same with Isgrove, I've not been much of a fan of his but from around Bradford onwards he's played much better and had his best game in a Bolton shirt last night.

Great timing too at the business end

Felt more nervous about the Harrogate game.

Think we're good value for a 2-0 win

    Same.

I fancy us in any away game. Not quite so sure about home games despite our upturn in results since the turn of the year.

Salford now playing at half 12 on Saturday so that's probably a good indication.

6 games in our league moved to 12.30, i reckon the rest will follow suit unless there are 2 teams who don't have a midweek game facing each other

  10. I won’t be eating out until it’s all calmed down a bit.

I won’t be drinking out either other than my usual Monday Club couple of pints in the local starting tonight

    Connor Benn, job done👊

That’s the real deal. His power batters Khan. Brook awkward but I fancy him to beat him.

Shawn Porter gives him most trouble for me but he’s already close to world level. Needs a major test. I’m following I’m, loved his dad (Watson was my fav tho)

We beat Salford and we’re 1 point behind Cambridge. They’ve been smashed 4-1 at home today, think we’ve slightly easier run in as well, fancy us to finish above Cambridge & Tranmere.

But we have to beat Salford. That’s why bookies have them favs. We could easily lose, they already have the points
