  1. They did a few all dayers around 1980 if my memory is correct
  2. Wasn't De Lacy where that bloke got sent down for shagging his dog? Wife went out shopping & nipped back for something & caught him back scuttling the mutt.
  3. Stir Crazy is piss funny too...him & Richard Prior we're brilliant together.
  4. Bus from Deane Grammar? Didn't know you had been a teacher S!
  5. Meh is about where I am with it.
  6. Glad to see Drinkwater in, I think he's far more effective than a few of those who went to the Euros
  7. I was on the 400 that day, it was a bit lively at times!
  8. At least he will have died with a smile on his face.
  9. I had it in my head for years that he was virtually on the touchline in front of the Burnden terrace. Not as good a goal as I'd imagined standing on the Lever end but a cracker all the same.
  10. The Kop was half & half with just a line of coppers separating, it was a bit of a free for all behind though if I remember correctly.
  11. You can record 4 programmes simultaneously whilst watching another apparently.... pretty useful when you would struggle to find 4 programmes a month worth recording!
  12. I thought it was just the over active imagination of of young lad until reading your post, I'm sure the crack could be heard all over the ground. As THO says it was a sickening injury but paled into insignificance in light of other events that afternoon.
  13. It was a white kit, we had players who sweated blood for the cause in those days.
  14. Pretty sure FDs men were in there, I was in the riverside paddock at that end & enjoyed watching them introducing themselves to the Blackburn fans.
  15. We went to Sardinia for the 90 world cup. We got a minibus to Gatwick, a flight to Ajaccio in Corsica landing on a Sunday evening when there is no public transport. Had to hire a coach between about 15 of us to the other side of the island. Had to sleep in the foyer of a hotel then get a ferry & a train to Cagliari the next day. The return journey included a ferry strike & then 3 taxis ( of which there were only 2 available, so 2 of us had to wait 90 mins for one to return) across the island at about £90 a throw if irc, we would have missed our flight back to Gatwick if it hadn't been delayed. Ended up in Manchester in the early hrs thus incurring another taxi fare...ended up costing us a lot more than we originally saved & a ball ache of a journey.
  16. At least they're attempting to create a bit of much needed atmosphere...Bless em
  17. Surprised his charity of choice wasn't Help the Aged.
  18. The rest of the team would be showered & on the way home by the time he'd run the length of the pitch.
