As far as english managers go, theres only really clough, paisley and to a lesser degree, venables. Go on, you cN all tell me some obvious onez, ive missed, maybe robson?
None of em had great careers, clough was obv unlucky - so i dont think its to do with players not going in to management

Ridiculous that's he's only fought White & Chisora since beating Wilder over 2yrs ago.

Heard mixed reviews but decided to give peas a chance.

Bishan Bedi.... cricket legend.

Fantastic performance from a team that looked like also rans when the tournament started.
-
He certainly has a claim to be regarded as England's best ever.... R. I. P.

He's a good lad is Mcateer... and even if he wasn't an ex white I'd love him for getting under Keane skin 😁

Wouldn't watch it if they paid me.

Good old rose tinted specs eh
Rose tinted specs would say Bobby Robson was a good England manager when in fact only another injury to a half fit Robson & a Wilkins sending off shaped 86 & in 90 player power led to Mark Wright playing in a back three.
Let's have a bit of balance here, today's lot have come up short in knock out football against any quality team they've played..... Hopefully that will change.

We currently have the elite in our team. Absolute top line, cant get any higher elite.
Treble winners, Real Madrid and future ballon dor winners.
Gazza was ace as he stood out in a completely shit generation on the back of a club ban in Europe.
Hes an icon, a cult figure, tortured genius. But never in a million years the level we have now in Foden and Bellingham.
Every player who's played with Foden and every manager says hes the most talented on the ball kid theyve ever seen.
You cant have a career on what ifs. You've got to do it to be the best.
Completely shit generation? Robson when injury free, Beardsley, John Barnes, Waddle, Lineker..... and the best of the lot... Glenn Hoddle ( light years ahead of Maddison and his like), unfortunately it was a time when it was 442 & square pegs in round holes & elite talents weren't trusted..... We've seen with the new generation how they can be hampered by poor management.
-
Gazza was a fantastic player but Bellingham can do what he did & then some.... Ghosts past players like they aren't there, can defend, is strong, athletic, has an excellent temperament & can score goals. If he can stay relatively injury free he's going to be one of our all times greats imo.

We usually do 😁
I've said my piece now. If love him to pull his finger out and start contributing. But he's a league 2 player for me.
If Sheehan is league 2 then Morley had better get used to not appearing on the Football League show for much longer.

This team will win more than it loses this season but automatic promotion?... No sorry, can't see it.... Nowhere near mentally strong enough. Poorer teams impose their will on us far too often.
-
Have to go with Wood, I think Warrington is a spent force since the Kid Galahad fight... Which was another example of Corrupt judges imo.
-
Don't know what's the most surprising.... Bellingham looking like he's been the main man at Real for years or a bloke who couldn't get in Stokes team playing alongside him.

You know something its always the bloody same when we play and beat bigger clubs, "Carlisle were very poor, but 'we' were very poor in every position", absolute and utter bollocks!!!!
Get over yourself
You weren't but we were.... Thought you gave a great account of yourselves today & could have won by more.

I would say FV as well . Oxford upped their wage bill thus season and Pompey and look were they are . Never mind Ipswich and Wednesday last season . we’re getting 20 k and spent fuck all and took millions in bonds .

Second half, all us, they have one shot which goes in thanks to a deflection
We werent great, created very little but no way was a defeat fair
If you want to slash wrists, crack on
You do know who was our MoM?.... They could have scored 6
