  1. Open and expansive football is that owen coyle i hear? /me runs
  2. Did he do well in his first spell at oldham but going back didnt do so good? Just had one good spell AFAIR
  3. It is part of the prem teams business model to get kids in to loan to the lower divisions for money even though they have next to no chance of making it in the prem. A broken system that starves the lower leagues
  4. yeah eagles kept trying while the rest of the team often hid. Petrov was great but for having thhe out of his depth paul robinson made it worse
  5. according to his interview on under the cosh football podcast. You could tell when sparky had been on the town till 5am in the morning as he went and hid on the left wing. Some other interesting tipbits in that coyld strength was to blow smoke up his arse. (well we knew he was a good cheerleader) He got similiar money moving from champ to prem (burnley to bolton) and he didnt want to come to bolton just brain laws was shit. an interesting listen.
  6. yep shearer got away with a lot including the notorious head stamp
  7. Ah right i thought he was only in thestaying up seasons. thanks I remember the league cup final but that was early prem years Did he play much in the last season?
  8. No alan shearer newcastle bias there was there. I bet robbie elliot was number 11
  9. Good to see JJ okocha being recognised as being one of the best in the prem. Although they said he was there during our best period which wasnt correct as he didnt play in the UEFA cup seasons. Gary speed also mentoned but bolton wasnt mentioned by shearer but sheff utd was. They did have in a bolton raining top in there footage section tho.
  10. I thought mike whitlow did a good job for us at both centre back and left back. One of the last vocal leaders on the pitch we had.
  11. Heh yeah I forgot about the players.
  12. Behind closed doors it could finish, cost a lot though with noone through the doors
  13. Hopefully Ken Anderson. Will take over one
  14. yeah my thoughts as well lowe is best in cm with no replacement for him in midfield
  15. I dont expect hill to go before the end of the season but if a better manager became available it will be worth grabbing him while we can. Not saying grayson is the answer but i am willing to be thinking about starting next season on the front foot and i think hill is going to be carrying the baggage of this season wrongly or rightly.
  16. Hello, Like a lot of people i am starting to wonder if Hill can really take us forward. Simon grayson has been sacked by blackpool so would his availability get our owners thinking about canning hill sooner rather than at the end of the season which they may well be already planning?
  17. this town is becoming like a ghost town...... all the factory's have closed down.....
  18. Graham was completely off the pace. He seemed to be marking empty space and didnt seem to close down or tackle much. Its almost like he took a direction from management to sit in front of defence literally. Hope we have someone else in for burton albion
  19. does feel like one goal will do it for either team from the gmr radio
  20. a couple of interesting points. Allaedyce left because the owners spent more on race horses than players. And andersons son paddy knows how much he was paid and "how much" was his response. He then mentions about corruption in football.
  21. Interesting that football league paper gave DoDoo MOM. but then they thought the ref was good with a 7/10
  22. Yeah i thought that when i saw KD at ht it was a proper workman goal chasing everything and knicking the ball to score. Jason lowe and murphy up front with a sweet goal that he almost walked into the net leaving me having palpitations that he would get tackled.
