  1. Maybe there's always been, and still is, summat wrong within the English game that means English ex-players don't make good managers? Are they just happy to take the money they've made and stand in front of or behind a bar?
  2. They were the laziest, most uninterested set of professional players I've seen in a long long while until we went to pot and then I was praying for the final whistle. It's a win but summat really isn't quite right somewhere along the line, and that's taking into account the standard of some of our players.
  3. The FA have a Faith In Football executive? Fuck moll.
  4. I know it's very late but I'm just up to the last series of The Last Kingdom and I keep telling myself it's not as good as Vikings but I can't stop watching it. Even with that awful voice over at the start of episodes.
  5. All of this could not have happened at a better time for Netanyahu but you have to believe that is just coincidence else you start believing the pyramids should be giving the world free energy. Hamas don't want any kind of peace and would not have any place in Gaza if the region was peaceful. Netanyahu wants nothing to do with any peace and would have no place if the region was peaceful. The only people who want peace are the people there who get up to go about their daily lives to try to work and feed their families and absolutely none of the people we hear on the news give a fuck about them. It is now as it always has been unfortunately.
  6. People like to say IE is stubborn but it could as easily be that he just doesn't know how to make the changes he needs to coaching wise and tactically. He's not been at it a long time and throw in man management as another issue to be dealt with and he's far from the finished article yet. If that's the issue then it's obviously more concerning than a personality trait. Most of our fans aren't arsed about him developing as a manager they just want to be in the Championship tomorrow, which you can understand.
  7. We have one that the kids seem to use constantly so is probably costing more than when they couldn't be arsed to turn the oven on. Also think chatGPT must have told them that they are a self-cleaning device with the state it's in if I ever go to use it.
  8. Blockbusters was a classic. Only Connect is where the intellectuals are at these days.
  9. He's been struggling for a long time for me. His positioning is dodgy, his distribution is poor, he's ponderous and slow to recover. If you watch Dacres-Cogley closely he seems to spend half his time shouting at Jones in a "what the fuck?" kind of way.
  10. Dempsey getting needlessly booked 2 minutes into the second half had my head in my hands.
  11. He's a good orator,.a lot of what he says seems to make a lot of sense regarding wider society, arguably absolutely useless as a union leader which is his job though.
  12. He's always struck me like he's thick as fuck but doesn't realise that and believes the opposite. There's one in every top band bottom set in every school in the country.
  13. Thankfully. Imagine if anyone had ever thought to do a remake of those St Trinian's films with school girls in suspenders, the mind boggles.
  14. Kind of local to me and I remember thinking that if you wanted to build a house halfway up that chimney you either had more money than sense or else a brilliant dealer.
  15. Inevitable but seen loads at Warbies,.only time I've seen at home was when a mate had left some flour in a jar and it was crawling with em (photo doesn't do it justice).
  16. Everyone thinks Rita, Sue, and Bob Too is a national treasure don't they?
  17. Apparently it's part of a humiliation ritual he has to go through to ascend to the next level in freemasonry.
  18. I thought JDB looked like he was struggling towards the end of his brief cameo so maybe he just isn't fit enough to do longer stints.
  19. Thought the Johnny Football thing was ok, that full series it's part of on Netflix is ok, theres one about a not bent basketball ref that is worth a watch. Wheel Of Time series 2 is on Prime atm and it's taken me 4 episodes to remember who the fuck anyone is, these big budget series woth 2 year gaps are klilers for folk whose memories are shite.
  20. Not marines but my eldest still has signing up on his list after he finishes his degree and from a practical point of view regardless of people might think of them the police are still a good choice for folk who want to leave themselves open to an early retiremen
  21. Not very glamorous but as a youngster was Jim McDonagh and Peter Reid for me, after that probably Gudni and Campo. Had to choose one on this particular night at this particular night would be Gudni.
  22. Not sure if it's still the same but Warwick always seemed to have a chip on its shoulder because it wasn't Oxford or Cambridge but to be fair even back years ago they had some very decent courses. Always stuck in my mind that I got asked "How many grains of salt are there in a salt cellar?" at an interview there once.
