  6. Morning all Regularly read your forum to try and work out what is actually happening for you boys n girls. Boy you’ve had some s*** the last few seasons As Bristol City Fan middling years I have fond memories of various tussles with yourselves , and games over the years at all levels , including Wembley Great set of ‘proper’ football fans in all my experiences Also met many lads , and the odd lass, who were Wanderers , trapping the World following England All sound as a pound Wanted to say I have everything crossed for you , you fans , and that some light begins to emerge As for the rest of ‘The League laughing’ ....or indeed the Football World My advice is there will always be ***** , especially on Social Media who will laugh and goad - The Football World And Supporters of all sorts I’ve spoken to , or read are in fact extremely sympathetic , and hopeful that things will turn around , or at least stop sliding Please remember that - I know at this **** time it won’t help much , you want to see some sign of future , but please don’t concern yourselves with ***** who follow other Clubs The massive majority don’t laugh , they sympathise.... And the few who gloat ****** ******* Many Of you won’t recall , but we nigh on went to the wall in 1982 , I went to what was to be our final game at Newport, we survived , just but slid from Div 1 - 4 , ended up playing 16/17 year olds and a few freebies and fell to the bottom of Div Four Looking back the slow survival and then growth back (Ironically the Wembley game v you was probably a significant point) was one of the best and happiest periods of my 50 years of support, the hardcore fan base sticking by them and seeing a slow rebirth Hang in there Boys n Girls, everything crossed for you ’Wanderers Till You Die’ Always
  7. Physically strong, decent pace Wholehearted & Committed and loves to burst forward End product sometimes lacking and can appear 'clumsy' at times Defensively ''ok' Decent signing IMHO
  8. Don't think Wilbs is a salad man Very fit bloke though !!! Wilbs pre match meal is a bagel , covered in strawberry jam and scrambled egg on top !!! (true)
  9. hi genie Bobby Reid is our youngster whose next year is always going to be the one !!! last season he improved and pre season has been (Due to striker injuries) been playing as a second striker and notching a few goals could be his season to really push on but from previous experience he will probably be out the side by September !!!! don't fancy a straight swap of head coaches do you ?
  10. Hi Wanderers Fans Bristol city Fan popping by in peace first of all , congratulations on your immediate return to the Championship - SOmeasy to get stuck in League One (as we know all too well ! ) Just thought I'd let you know about our experience with Aarron Wilbraham (And a view that's held by seemingly every supporter , member of staff and fellow players) This is the thread on our forum about his departure http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/187751-aaron-wilbraham-to-bolton-confirmed/ Consumate Pro - brilliant mentor and example to team mates A fantastic bloke Organiser of team bonding , days out etc Described by fellow players as probably the main reason we survived last year , by bonding and marshalling the dressing room He might be 37 but kept himself in great shape and still has all the knowledge and plenty of skills to play as a good old fashioned target man and a happy knack of scoring important goals He does have to have a very painful injection every few months (in his hip I think) to play but was rarely unavailable for us Quite simply epitomises the word PROFESSIONAL for a footballer Will be invaluable around the squad and in the dressing room whatever he delivers in game time Our loss is very much your gain - I promise He was undoubtedly our most influential player in our squad over last 3 seasons and has achepieved legendary status in that relatively short time Embrace him and appreciate him - a true diamond He could be your signing of the season Thought I'd pop in as on the face of it signing a 37 year old doesn't appear too inspiring Best of Luck for the coming season
