Looks like Shearer's leaving in the summer.
Could this make the Newcastle job more attractive to Sam?
What, at Bolton or Newcastle?! If your on about Bolton I have more pub change on the shelf in the living room then he will get for players.
Make of this what you want...

Think Glenn Roeder is not only travelling on the gravy train - he's captaining it.
He comes across as a total f??cking devoid every time he speaks.
Right for the Newcastle job then.
Maybe the SWP that played for Citeh, the current one only gets into the squad for 50% of Chelsea's games. He isn't on the plane even.
Rather take Lennon than SWP.
Agree with exiledwhite2. He could be a very useful substitute for the last 20 mins.
I kind of agree with you - the only true grit and blood "team" we have had in recent years are our Olympic rowers - Redgrave, Pinsent etc - them boys never gave up and always brought the bacon home even if it meant puking up at the end.
What about the rugger boys in 2003? 8-[
What about the Scout Rd chippy?
Talking of which.....

Kind of wondered which "beast" they may have been talking about.
They could have put flyers on all non-ST seats last weekend for the near sell-out Chelsea game.
Wouldn't take too long as these seats are mainly South Lower.
PS As Traf says we still wouldn't sell out anyway.
Have a look at Alan Shearer's record. Many tributes to him on the other thread.
It took him 3 years before he started scoring.

In fact if Alan Shearer started now, a lot of managers wouldn't have the patience the Southampton manager had.
Some people may not like him but you have to agree 10 years ago he was a fantastic goalscorer.
Scored 112 goals in 138 league games for Blackburn stands scrutiny against the very best.
And that was in an otherwise mediocre Blackburn team.
Boro was a Category A as originally it was scheduled at Christmas.
These are well attended games whoever the opposition.
The Reebok record attendance was a Christmas game against Leicester.
Thought Mark Patterson was a dirty bastard as well.
He had this technique of tackling side-on which involved carting the man's legs and then winning the ball. Always used to get away with it.
Think he snapped Gunnar Halle's knee doing it.
