  1. I think you chaps will have to adopt the same tactic as you used to us chaps at home but try and have a little more quality (think the lad that came on second half should start for you out wide) in the balls out to your wide guys who need to break with pace and probably supported by two midfielders.... I think you will need a bank of 6 to protect your goal as they move the ball around very well on the floor. No outstanding players bar the striker but move the ball well and from side to side. To be fair we tanked them in the first half and could have been more.. second half tired and substitutes aren't as good as the first team so they created more..... Good luck for the game
  2. Get yourselves on the game Saturday and roar the Wanderers to victory...
  3. To be fair if your struggling with such a simple subject I am afraid at this minute there is not a lot I can do for you my mate.
  4. Clearly because I like it... why else?
  5. why would you ask such a question?
  6. sounds like you chaps have started the second half more than brightly.... big improvement from Saturdays game says the commentator on bbc Manchester.... hoping for a Bolton win over in Preston for our Lancashire friends.
  7. I think to be fair to Bolton fans it would be nice if you could … entertain.... them with some more productive comments than you have managed for the last couple of days. Hence why I am on this forum with decent folk and not on the forum that your type frequent....
  8. The exact figures are correct and are from a source within the club. Preston North End as I am sure your aware are probably like a number of clubs who like to appease fans that want to know where the monies are being spent and tend to put out headline grabbing figures that look good but have very little to do with the truth..... For example Darnel Fisher was signed for an undisclosed figure but my source and if you google his transfer and read the relevant pages will tell you he actually costs us nothing as Rotherham wanted to be seen to be selling a player rather than giving him a way, the truth more than likely in a lot of cases with relegated clubs is that they need higher earners off the books quickly.
  9. Much humour….. humour The reason I think we are so far from the top is we had a poor start.... a number of players didn't start the season so well and I think the manager wasn't so sure of his best team while he worked out how to play all the time without a big lad to hold it up and secondly because we had a spell of perhaps ten games where our squad was crippled by injury and some of the young lads we have signed didn't have the old heads around them to allow them to adopt to a tough championship league. We seem to be after each transfer window getting a little stronger..... when we get to the summer we will have another 5/6 dead woods gone and hopefully be able to improve that little more and obviously with players contracts running down some will be sold. We have as you may or may not be aware been buying in Ireland and lower leagues … some work some don't not sure exactly how success is measured and is often argued about amongst north enders either way I think the majority are starting to understand we are what we are and we cant afford to buy from championship clubs in general because there wages are to high so we need to look elsewhere.
  10. To be honest we beat Stoke away last time and had a lot of possession the difference in my opinion is that we had to do it at full pace against them but where yesterday you're team just sat there waiting and we had difficulty waiting for you to come out so we could sneak in behind you.... Without pretending to know a lot about your squad I am sure that you're team could have offered more than that yesterday... I found it very very odd. 22 out of 24 teams in the championship in my opinion generally over the seasons see to be able to beat each other. When you piled it on use we had gone to sleep and started to panic , even if you had had spells of trying to do that I could have understood it but to wait until the end to start trying to entertain was in my opinion ridiculous … I cant believe that you weren't abusing the manager from the start if I am honest. Although again I don't know the state of your squad, injuries to better players, players sold not replaced etc etc but
  11. The manager changes the team to suit and at the minute Johnson doesn't suit, cant remember him starting for a bit to be honest. Do like the lad but takes him a bit to settle down in a game and in my opinion not a lot of use as a sub for that reason. With the lad Potts being signed does seem to be a little bit down the order at the minute but that can soon change with Pearson like of getting suspended.
  12. Rudd - 300k - age 28 - Norwich Fisher - Free - age 24 - Rotherham Storey - 700K - AGE 21 - Exeter Pearson - 300k - age 24 - Man Utd Reserves Davies - youth - age 23 - YOUTH PLAYER Browne - 100K - AGE 23 - Cork City Gallagher - free - age 34 - Leicester Hughus - 350k - age 26 - Peterborough Maguire - 100K - AGE 24 - CORK CITY Barkhuisen - 150k - age 25 - Morecambe Potts - 950k - age 24 - barnsley The team that started yesterday didn't cost a fortune but is starting to cost more in wages , of which some of the Hugill money has been spent … some of out lot think we should spend it all on new players, maybe they would be suited to joining your board! Clearly some of them like Hugill are destined for bigger clubs that can afford to pay bigger wages... were about at our limit I believe so don't be surprised to see us loose a number of them in the next transfer window, especially the lads that are over 24 and looking for that life changing contract.
