Sadly I agree with this. You only have to look at other industries to draw parallel examples. Aviation is my domain, where Flybe, who were ‘rescued’ less than 12 months ago, now find themselves seeking further investment to keep them going.
-
Couldn’t agree more. I took my young son and daughter several seasons ago, they sadly had to witness this type of behaviour and they’ve never been back. They cried all the way home in the car, and the merest suggestion of taking them to a game now still upsets them. One day, these moronic idiots may have children themselves and will then possibly understand the repercussions of their actions..... But then again, that’s probably wishful thinking.

Really?!! 🤔🤔 We must have all misinterpreted your comments then 🙄
-
This 👍🏻 Absolutely spot on!
-
Ms Custard has since rephrased her comment, but we all read the initial post. Marc, I agree, he/she really is obsessed..... I initially found the various comments made by this character to be irritating, now I find them bordering on hilarious! 🙄

4th tier? 🤔🤔 They were playing Macclesfield in the 3rd tier about 20 years ago, but no lower I don’t think.
-
What about when we went to Macclesfield two seasons running to see them play Chester? Where does that come into all this? 🤔🤔
-
To be fair to Nixon, he was only responding to a comment that suggested that the fee Celtic paid for Connell should be used to pay the players wages!
-
Think I saw an earlier post saying 1200 on the day before. So that would be this Friday 😬
-
Much as I like reading Sluffys posts, this petty little squabble is getting a tad tedious now 🙄
-
‘Telling his dumbass readers’ Jeez... your level of condescending arrogance just has no limits 🙄
-
Sadly I suspect he is. I now ignore any of his/her posts and just scroll to the next one, it works for me 👍🏻
-
Absolutely agree with this, and you, Mr Custodiet, are in the latter category sadly! 🙄
-
Wow. It’s no wonder internet forums get such a bad reputation when insults like this are thrown around when all I have done is offered an opinion. Safe to say I’m out of here, as I was mistakenly led to believe this was one of the more sensible forums. I generally don’t read them at all but thought I had come across one that was better than the rest. Maybe it’s just one bad egg with this Custodiet character, but it’s only confirmed my suspicions all along. I just thank my lucky stars that he/she hasn’t got a season ticket next to me, and I don’t have to sit next to them!!!! Dont bother replying as I won’t be back to read whatever any belittling reply you dream up 🙄🙄

Yup, I agree with this one.
-
I imagine HMRC will be wanting this £1m......
-
Are the first team attending training? Or are they just refusing to play matches.....anyone know?
-
Yup, I agree. I’m assuming that when/if the players are paid, it will be announced very quickly on the various social media platforms available to us, however I’ve not seen anything yet.......and Aprils payday is only days away now too. I also think the silence is strange. Iles/Nixon who previously have been regular commentators on the lack of payments to the many parties involved are not saying anything now that Bassini has arrived, but to my knowledge, the situation hasn’t changed at all! Following on from their meeting yesterday with our ‘new owner’, I found the statement below from the ST a little concerning too..... “The worry though still seems to be that he is not fully aware of the level of debt involved”
-
In all the hundreds of pages I’ve read since joining WW a few weeks ago, and hours I’ve spent doing so...... This is possibly the most believable sentence so far!
-
Sorry chaps, that’s the most cringeworthy interview I’ve heard for a long time. ‘His love and affection for the club’ Watford captain phoned him to say ‘You’re the best owner we’ve ever had’ He appeared at the Watford training ground most days ‘the money side doesn’t interest me that much’ - f*ck me it should, you’re the owner!! Who knows what the future holds for our club, but this was embarrassing......
-
Change of tack slightly...... I’m a little confused over the players strike action. Some reports say 48 hrs, suggesting therefore that they’ll turn up tomorrow. However other outlets state: ‘Phil Parkinson’s playing staff have informed the club they will not be returning to training until March’s salaries – due to all employees last Friday – have been paid in full. Which one is it I wonder?
