  1. Where do you lot find best for parking to avoid the 1hr30+ wait after games to get out? Not too worried about Saturdays but early shift after midweek games is awful, need a new spot
  2. I think their board probably saw that he was cheap and got us promoted with fuck all last time in league 1. Think they must have been in a coma for the past 2 years though. Only thing he did well in the last 2 years was staying professional despite all the shit he had to deal with.
  3. I know what you mean, but haven't FV capped prices at £20 so far since they've been in? Fairly reasonable, even without the senior players. I think they probably could have worked faster to get the ST out, but when there's been so much to sort it makes sense to have it starting from a specific date. Gives more time for people to get them, so I wouldn't really count that, but if they announced before International break it would have been good so people can buy them before the Oxford and Sunderland games. Still, don't think the price is too bad considering what they've had to pay to get the club. The average cost seems more than fair.
  4. Good prices I think, really decent for any concessions. Unfortunately I can't rope anyone into coming with this year, is it worth going alone, and if so, where's best to sit?
  5. No mention of Darcy, do you think he's good enough? Didn't Brockbank originally come through as a centreback or am I thinking of someone else? If he did and he can get to grips with playing there, especially in League 1, then I think we could develop him well. Don't see why a few clubs wanted him in summer unless they see the same potential. I don't think he has the qualities to be a right back, especially with the way full backs play these days. Think he'd be a decent CB though, given a chance and if he can hold his own in a league where every team will try to be overly physical and bully him. Politic to me looks good, but very unfinished. Seems to have a little bit of skill in his locker and he's definitely not afraid to shoot, but maybe that's not a great thing atm. I think one of his runs for Bradford he jumped through 2/3 tackles and could have squared it for a basically open goal but he went for a scuffed shot instead. I think he'd be good used in rotation with other wingers, see what he's like at the end of the year, would give more of an idea how good he can be. If KH plays a with 3 behind the striker I really hope Darcy gets a few full games. Only 18, but think that's old enough to start being introduced if you've got enough potential. Obviously needs to be used sparingly and still develop with all the younger lads, but don't think it can hurt seeing what he can do in a proper team. He looked really decent on the ball in the few games he's played so far.
  6. Not seen it asked yet, but what's everyone's thoughts on how we'll set up and what the line up will be? Obviously not spoilt for choice, but still curious
  7. Think that's the point. He's trying to have a pop over a massively hypothetical possibility. With the Doncaster game it'd probably be harsh for a serious punishment, because it can be rescheduled. I think we'll get a 6pt deduction for the Brentford game, so EFL will probably release a statement and shove Doncaster in the statement so it looks like 3 points each game. Think he's just finding something to moan about, and no one is taking to it kindly seeing as it's the first time in 18 months we've actually had a reason to be happy/optimistic. Absolutely no need to stick the boot in, especially when everything is now sorted and the people responsible for the shit that happened have gone. We'll deal with the EFL punishments when they come and that should be the end. Not every bunch of fans wishing us the best a week ago and now crying because they didn't play us before last weekend so want us to go under again.
  8. He's not specifically talking about us and Bury now though. He's crying because we were the whipping boys of the division because of the EFL and now we actually might win a few games. Our situation is unique (in the fact that we had 2 morons stopping the deal every possible chance), but we were supposed to be close to completing the deal. If the EFL stopped us from starting the season but the deal was done 2 days later as was due, then we'd all be pissed off being docked another 3-6pts+. I think the EFL need to take more preventive action, and I agree with Andy in that sense. Just seems like he's bitter that a few teams got an easy run out against us. Properly disrespecting the kids leaving everything out there every game so far though. Hope we arsehole them 5-0 so he can moan some more.
  9. Hill is 100% the sensible choice. More experience, plays a better style and has a decent record at lower levels. Nolan would have the fans behind him for longer, but he's not been around enough to properly see what he's about. Also wouldn't be long before people get tired of his style of football if his last jobs were anything to go by.
  10. MJ and FV in general deserve massive credit for sticking around. Still think there was some fucking around during the 2+ months we ended up waiting, and that it could have been hurried along but now it's done who cares. Eddie definitely deserves something, think naming the stand after him would be a nice touch. He basically kept the club running for an extra few years after he thought he'd sold it and his family have been forced to write off his money because of a horrible self serving cunt.
  11. Fortunately not, and yeah, it'd all depend on whether he fancies the step up too. Even though it could end up being a write off season, I don't think anyone wants to see another Sammy Lee type come in. Just think out of the names mentioned, the set up he's been involved in looks best overall, and you'd hope he's been learning from that.
  12. I think of all the possible names mentioned, Dean Holden sounds best, considering pretty much all of them are massive punts. At least he's had almost 3 years of being at a club that doesn't spend loads, plays decent football and have been fairly successful for their size. Can't expect him to replicate it, but it's probably the best punt we've got if the few names mentioned are the only ones available.
  13. Saw a Blackpool fan on Twitter laughing and hoping for us to go bust yesterday, few others replying to him agreeing. Of all clubs you'd think they'd have some decency after all the crying they've done.
  14. Yeah, that's what I mean. The other clubs probably had more money left in when admin was done. I assume it was probably done mid season too in a few cases, which means games being played every week or two. Unlike Ken who waited and waited to make sure we suffer as much as possible from it.
  15. Admins refused to sell ST though, because they can't guarantee we'd still be running, I assume. Doubt it was just ST money that allowed them to keep going. Owners possibly had a big enough admin pot before leaving?
  16. I do, I never expected it to be completed swiftly, but like I say, think it could have been handled better. Not sure why it needed a threat of liquidation and being kicked out of the league to sit down and hash it out. Either way, like I've said, FV and MJ deserve massive credit for sticking through it. And especially MJ if he's coughing up more as well as turning his secured money into equity.
  17. I understand that, but we've now been running for 3 months since they have come in. Granted, because FV put some money in. Just think it could have been handled better by the admins, that's all. Announce HoT with aim to complete soon after, but then it drags on. Fair enough, Ken's a slimy bastard and things change, but then it was PFA loan, and a load of other shit. Doesn't help when he's phoning his mates telling them they can announce it on Twitter and then fuck all happens.
  18. It's a fair point, but we didn't set the time scales, the admins did. If they came in and said we'd hope to get it done within 6 months, then fair enough. HoT signed and completion shortly after has then dragged on for 2 months.
  19. Can't disagree, there's definitely been some dodgy happenings. I just don't know how you go from signing a HoT with a quick time frame for the deal to be completed, to needing PFA loans to even pay players. Not sure what happens to the money FV have already put in if they get gazumped at this point though.
  20. Oh, my bad, misunderstood. Honestly, there's probably a few reasons why they did it at that specific time. Mainly because we probably can't fulfil fixtures and they don't want to be seen treating us with preference over the likes of Bury. Admins could have mentioned liquidation themselves anytime in the last month if that's their attempt at putting on some public pressure. Instead they waited until EFL has done it for them and then released it right after. I said earlier on today that I think he's bluffing about starting liquidation, because it makes no sense to do it while being so close to a deal - but, I also know there isn't the money to keep running, so how long the delay before the liquidation starts, who knows.
  21. I suppose the main issue is funding. They clearly knew FV were having issues and unable to pay what they wanted. PFA loans, paying in instalments (reportedly, again could be bullshit), etc. They deserve massive credit for sticking it through and trying to get it done, but being a preferred bidder with HoT agreed for over 2 months seems to be more than long enough to get it done. Surely there's a reasonable timescale involved with it somewhere?
  22. Get it done or you're being kicked out of the league doesn't seem like an ultimatum to you?
  23. Agreed, 100%. I do have a bit of a problem with the admins being so tunnel visioned on FV, but again, we don't know what other bidders have come and gone. Or how many are completely fictional. I suppose my main issue is that they haven't seemingly put any public pressure on and don't care when it's done. They only put out a statement about liquidation after EFL gave us an ultimatum. FV deserve a lot of credit for sticking around for so long, but also can't help but feel dragging it on for over 2 months isn't the way you want to go about taking over. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
  24. Hotel matters quite a bit. If FV lose out on the hotel that kills their bid. If the hotel goes to the wrong people who don't give a shit about the club we're fucked and they'll enjoy the land once we've gone bust. Getting the hotel first makes them the only bidders left for the club if they want it, unless FV are suddenly fine with not having the hotel.
