We should basically be all round too good for them so I see a comfortable 2-0 win to the Whites, especially now that Victor if finally starting to fire.

Pity it wasn’t a Sunday game it would have been certain to have thawed by then when it’s forecast to be much milder. I wouldn’t though want us to risk playing and getting players injured if the pitch isn’t fully suitable. Not worth taking the chance.

It’s absolutely glorious here in sunny Yorkshire, very cold but bright and sunny, not even a sign of snow so let’s hope it blows over to Gods County and we get the game on?

Can someone please clarify? Do we have to postpone games during international breaks or is that a choice we make, assuming of course the opposition aren’t also involved? Surely we have a big enough squad to play a strong enough team to beat anybody, especially if we bring a couple more in during this window. I accept Dion would be a miss but surely we have enough without him to beat most teams. Even without new signings we surely have sufficient options to cover the likes of Toal, Gethin and Sheehan? That would surely create space for fixtures.

Game postponed then. What happens now will they start from zero or will the result stand? Right decision though, no way they could continue after that. Let’s just hope the supporter recovers and is fine.

Are we building Cheltenham up just a bit too much here? They may have improved under a new manager and Pompey may have slipped up as we did against Carlisle but after Wednesdays display against Fleetwood I genuinely believe this team has learned how to win both well and ugly. I don’t think, especially after Carlisle, that we’ll take anybody lightly so I’m sure the boys will know exactly what they need to do tomorrow and I just think we’ll be too good for them and complete a pretty comfortable 2-0 victory which could see us top at five o’ clock? 😉

That’s fair enough but we all know that we really need a quality LWB because none of Williams, Iredale or Ashworth are really up to it. Randell is the best of those three but still lacking defensively. Hopefully it’s on IE’s list for this window.

Yes, can’t see our game being picked for TV which is a shame financially but if we get a cracking draw for round 4 tonight I can see a bigger gate for the replay but conversely if it’s a poor draw 5k to 8k max.

No question a fantastic signing by IE and CM. I was unsure of him at first after Traf but he’s more than proved himself so far and I don’t think he’s anywhere near his best yet. He certainly won’t look out of place in the Championship with us next year. 😉

Certainly will, haven’t seen the game just followed on the BN site but it’s another indication that we are as good or better than anyone else in L1 so whilst a replay may seem a little inconvenient, it could work out well for us especially if our draw is away against a big fish in the next round. Bring it on Wanderers.

Definite case of woe is me on the Pompey site tonight. To be honest I never really fancied them this season, they seemed to have all the luck with regular late goals. I’m not saying that’s not a sign of endurance but they never really looked impressive so I’m not really surprised they’ve fallen back and I still think they were crap against us and we threw 3 points away after that Dion miss. Rams and Posh our main challengers and if we finish in front of those two we’re up.
